Not sure how this diner has such high reviews. The absolute worse diner Ive ever been to. It was old and dirty, and the 50s theme is contrived and not very well done. There was one waitress for the entire place (only two other tables were occupied, so she wasnt that busy). It took her about 20 minutes to take our order and she had an attitude like she was too good to take care of us. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, bad decision. The chicken felt like they had stuck it in the blender with a dollop of mayo. It was warm as if the chicken salad had been left out for a few days. The rest of my family order burgers, which were soggy and thin patties. We had all met up from different places for the day, one from the area, a few from Florida, and myself from Pittsburgh. We all left infected with food poisoning. If you want good food and good service, drive 10 minutes down the road for Bakers Diner or the Camp Hill Diner. Avoid this hole in the wall at all cost.

WOW! an experience we have been talking about since we visited! we randomly chose the sunlight diner because we wanted something other than fast food or a chain restaurant we usually would choose. we were VERY impressed! we were greated by yasser who was so very nice! my daughter was hounding us to play the claw game before diner so he took her over and let her play on the house:) our server paula, i cant say enough positive things about her! truly wonderful people! our meals were so delicious too! i believe my meal was the sunrise chicken...never would have thought to put that combo together! amazaing! my daughter had spaghetti and meatballs and my husband got a cheese steak, yummy! the seafood chowder and cheese sticks were great too:) we look forward to visiting again..and again! thank you yassir and paula!

My wife and I went there today first time ever as we were up there for a Dr appt as we live over a hour away. Was greeted and seated very fast and courteously. The waitress was spot on and so was the food. The soup was home made and everything was fresh and not loaded with salt as I assumed it would be like most Diners we have been to. I am very picky about my food and was hesitant to stop in but boy was I surprised. If you are in the area I suggest you stop in like we did and give them a try. If you receive the same service and great food we did you will not be disappointed!! We will be back next year when we are there for my next Dr appt. Thanks again for the excellent service and dinner!!

This is the cleanest restaurant Ive seen in a long time (especially for a diner)! Attentive staff. Service was fast and the food came out even faster. The food was what you would expect from a diner. The prices were really good. I had the Alpine omelette. I couldve made it at home, but thats the way most diner food is- homey. My only complaint (& this is for all restaurants Ive eaten at) is the gravy! Where in the world are restaurants getting this gray goo they claim as sausage gravy. Take the extra few seconds to actually make a homemade pepper sausage gravy. Its so easy!

I respect the five-stars reviews in here, but I dont think this place deserve it. The place doesnt come close to the surrounding chain diners like Crackers barrel or Bob Evans. The place doesnt smell good and you can see the moldy celling tiles in the pictures that I added. Further, the plates were old and cheap. The walls were not so clean and you can tell theyre old. It seems like its a harsh review, but its not. Im just trying to be fair when compared to other diners in the area. The food wasnt bad, but it wasnt so good too. Its an ordinary breakfast nothing special.

I was at the U-Haul for a hitch to be installed , so I go to the dinner , I go in and the mad ask me " just one person " , I said " yes , just one " he takes me to the very back of the dinner . The woman finally comes over and I order a hot chocolate. After waiting 20 minutes and finishing my hot chocolate and several times of bitching about the POOR service she come over as I am standing up . I tell her I am leaving and why . I am no Moocher so I paid my bill and left and walked up the road to a bar & grill .

Pretty above average food. The prices are fantastic and the portions that you receive are more than adequate. I cant claim that the quality of the food is anything astounding or memorable, but its satisfying, filling, and affordable. The interior of the diner is a bit shabby, in need of some TLC, but not offensive in any way. Ive never had a problem with the service and most of the wait staff are friendly. At the end of the day, though, its diner food. Definitely recommended for quick, cheap, filling food.

Customers walking in the door are greeted warmly by the staff. Your eyes are drawn immediately to the 50s decor and everything is clean, clean, clean. Table service is quick and extremely courteous, Food is prepared quickly, served hot and fast and has that home-cooked taste. Breakfasts and lunches are my reason for dining out and I am never disappointed at Sunlight. Do not allow the size of this restaurant to cause you to pause. Stop in and you, too, will become a frequent diner here.

Got 2 eggs over medium with home fries, rye toast, bacon, and a side of corned beef hash. The eggs were Ok, cooked properly. The home fries were pretty bland and needed ketchup to be eaten. The bacon was a disaster, over cooked and just in a bunch of crumbled up pieces. The only thing that was actually good was the corned beef hash. It would be two stars but the staff was friendly so I bumped it up one. I dont think Ill be back though because the food was just not good enough.

We stopped here on our way back from myrtle beach. We did not have high expectations. However, the selection of food was phenomenal and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and the 50s atmosphere was refreshing. One of the best Diners we have ever been to and we are hard critics when it comes to eating out.
