Horrible horrible horrible customer service!!!! Waited for 30 minutes for our food. ...we ordered sandwiches....our waitress, Terry, couldnt be bothered to ket us know there would be a delay. ...ask if we needed anything while we waited. . .ask of our cups/ glasses were empty by the time our food cane and we had to ask for refills. Terry, our waitress, didnt feel that she needed to check on us after our food arrived to see if we needed anything else. ...until we finished our meal. Then we waited another 15 minutes for a to go cup and finally had to ask another waitress to help us out. When paying our bill the manager asked about our experience and when I informed her of our disappointment and the fact that we normally dine here once a week, she couldnt even offer a sincere apology. Then to top it off we could hear her complaining about our comments as we exited the building.

My wife and I have ate there a number of times the food was good the first two times then it started going down hill this last time it was so bad my wife got the roast beef sandwich and it was so nasty you can tell that they cooked it a couple days a go and it was cold. The waitress to come find out she is also the manager she asked if we would like to heat it up some more in the microwave and my wife said no thanks she will go without eating it I looked at the roast beef and it was grey looking like it was days old and I told the waitress about that and I heard the waitress tell the people in the back quit serving the roast beef. The coleslaw was even old and warm. I will never eat there again and then the waitress said very rudely that she doesnt give free food away when I said I dont want to pay for the roast beef and the coleslaw when my wife didnt even eat it.

The food has gotten better! Apparently new owner took over a year or two ago and the food is better than i remeber. Before my recent visit i hadnt been here for probably 10 years. The decor and atmosphere hasnt changed at all and i was kinda worried that the table might fall off the wall if i leaned on it, but the food was worth it. Everything i got was good home cooked food. I had meatloaf stack (meatloaf piled ontop of mashed potatoes). The meatloaf was quite good and the potatoes where flavored perfect with small bits of potato in them. Had a salad as a side and unfortunately had to pay an extra 50¢ to do so as well as another 50¢ for extra dressing. So basically the prices are average, the decor is old, but the food is great.

We were there today Sunday,1-19 and had a very bad experience. The lunch rush had justed ended and several tables were empty. We were seated and order taken. We ordered an app and it took 20 minutes for it to come. I inquired from the waitress as too why are meals was not served yet when 2 different tables came in after and their food was brought out before ours. Her excuse was that she put the app. order in first. Then after waiting another 25 minutes our food came. So that is 45 minutes to get the food. I had the open face hamburger steak that was burnt to a crisp on one side. I was afraid to say anything because it probably would have been another 40 minutes for them to fry another. Dont think we will be going back very soon.

When i think of going to Dutch Country it reminds me of going to Grandmas for a huge Breakfast. Always good food, good service, a clean restaurant. The Good: 1.) Good tasting food with a home cooked taste. 2.) Reasonable prices. 3.) Friendly Service, and on not so busy days they have a seat yourself policy making it feel more at home. 4.) Even on the busiest days everyone was friendly, and the waitresses tend to remember you! 5.) Ive never left hungry and usually had some leftovers for later! The Bad: I really dont have anything negative to say about Dutch Country!

What is with the seat yourself business method? When its packed and theres no where to sit, you have to either stand in the walk in area which is always busy with people coming in + out, or stand near the pay area which is busy with people paying or others standing around waiting for a table. What are you supposed to do when two groups arrive at the same time and are waiting for a table? Who goes first? Otherwise the food is pretty decent, prices are decent, im not crazy about the decor or atmosphere though.

Great food! The crab soup is the best Ive ever had. Seriously. Get the crab soup. The waitress said it was a Maryland recipe. Loved it! After getting the soup, I regret not trying the crab cakes she recommended. The Salisbury steak was amazing! Kara was sweet and helpful. We will be back for the crab cakes and more soup! The fresh peach pie was pretty gross though. It was like a weird jelly and not peach. Ask in all though, what a find this restaurant is!

If you love home cooked meals but dont have time to do it yourself, this is the place. They have affordable breakfast, lunch, and dinner with many options to satisfy any appetite. I didnt think they could make their meatloaf any better but then I had their meatloaf stack special (gravy on onion rings on meatloaf on mashed potatoes) and I was in awe. Service is friendly and prompt. Only improvement: carry out is available but sometimes missing items.

Doesnt appear well cleaned and as a mater of fact the floor was slippery from greasy food dropped on it and never was regularly moped. The waitstaff dont look like they enjoy working there. As a matter of fact I can cook tastier food then what they put on my plate. It only looks good. It tastes like 5 day old left overs. Save your money wisely and look elsewhere for a good home cooked meal.

After driving by for 25 years, we finally decided to stop for dinner and check out why there always appears to be a crowd at this place. If you are after ambiance, this is not your place. Very unassuming and rather homely looking but the food was GREAT! Everyone LOVED what they got and the quality and quantity were quite a deal. Weve been back twice since then.

Hot turkey sandwich and turkey platter has strictly dark meat, does not say that on menu. Not a fan of dark meat, would appreciate if they had that on the menu. Mashed potatoes are too runny. The waitress didnt come and check on us until we were done. Was quite disappointed all around. I dont usually have this problem here. Dont know what was wrong today.

Great food. I ordered crab cake as it was the item most talked about in reviews and was not disappointed. Coming from Louisiana we very rarely order seafood unless we are on the coast. This was better than any I get at home. Server was super friendly and food time was good. Everyone else ordered breakfast items and everyone likes what they got.

Best food in south central PA. Fantastic crab cakes, and the best tasting meatloaf I have ever had in my entire life. Their breakfast menu is amazing. Huge selection. Everything from red velvet cake french toast to the best, fresh baked breakfast muffins. Scrapple, cream chipped beef gravy & sausage gravy. You name it. Love this place!
