Theres a dearth of decent diners in the Silver Spring area. There are some big chains, and greasy spoons, but only one or two places really knocking it out of the park. Woodside Deli is not one of them. I know Woodside has its fans, but every time I eat there, it leaves me feeling like I couldve made a better choice. The food is perfectly adequate, sandwiches are average (Ive never been wild about the Cyrano, but people really do like it). For breakfast, they have a very consistent way of scorching my eggs each and every time. Enough so to make me question my own and every one elses cooking of eggs. The home fries are regularly soggy, again, something people seem to really enjoy. If you further a bit farther down the road, there are other diners and delis that really excel at this kind of food. But if you dont want to, Woodside is perfectly adequate and should suffice

The one and only. I grew up with the Woodside in Germantown and always appreciated the walls covered in historic photographs, pin-ups, and ads. The Silver Spring location has even more great eye candy on the walls and the location feels like youre walking into a friends house rather than a restaurant. Food is pretty standard diner fare, and I was super stoked when they started serving Eggs Benedict everyday instead of only on weekends. My wife and I prefer Woodside over the other local spot at Parkview because the wait staff is a lot more down to earth and super friendly to our kids.

Their food and services is A plus but they dont do delivery:(( I work near by and its a hussel to pick up food from this place because there is no parking and u have to park on the street and risk being towed. I just hate the anxiety that creates. No matter what time of the day u stop by there there is no parking. I have a suggestion please do delivery we will be happy to order from you guys. We always go to downtown silver spring to get lunch because of the parking issues.

Heres my problem I get off work, having a taste for an American cold cut sub. I am quite sure everyone reading this knows what it is, but evidently the deli didnt. It was not on their menu and the disinterested foreign person working behind the counter didnt know either. I settled with an expensive turkey sub. Confused as to why a deli would miss not having a simple but popular sub on the menu it was my entire purpose stopping at a DELI!

The service was ........ Im not sure of how to rate it because we had 3 servers to start with. Then, when we were ready to order no one was around. My Philly Cheese Steak was mediocre. The steak was bland and the lettuce was old and discolored. I used to come here all of the time when I worked at the Forest Glen Annex and the food was excellent at that time with no fail. However, it has been years since I have eaten here.

Mediocre food. After several messed up orders and waiting a half hour after my take out was supposed to be ready (they forgot something and refused to just let me take the rest of the order, so everything else was cold) while everyone in the kitchen screamed at each other - plus no apology or discount for the problem - I have not been back.

This is an excellent Delicatessen in Silver Spring. The Pickle bar is dreamy. The matzo ball soup is too. The Corned Beef is eh. Pastrami is pretty good and so is the tuna salad. The chefs salad is awesome. Parking is very difficult around there but this Deli makes it worth it.

Went on May 26, 2013 for breakfast. Ordered the special. Hash, eggs, pancakes and meat. Ordered the eggs scrambled soft. When the food was served the eggs were over easy, the hash was burnt on the bottom, the pancakes were tough and chewy. The coffee was good.

We have been going to WSD for years, but no more. The food is still as good as ever but I guess they figure that they are now in the up and coming area that they can charge outrageous prices for the same food... Good bye old friend, good bye Bernie

We have always loved this place... sadly today so much. They were out of so much, white fiah, falafel, salmon, kippers. How do you run a business this way? RESTOCK! We drove from DelawaredrovefohiaDelaware Delaware for this!

Always been treated right at Woodside. Is it haute cuisine, no. But it is good, wholesome comfort food in wonderful atmosphere great for a morning breakfast, late lunch or a very relaxed dinner.

I love the Woodside Deli. Favorites: the Mermaid sandwich, as well as their Israeli food: hummus, falafel; and milkshakes. Good family place.

Very kind staff and quick service. The food is about diner fare. Milkshakes done right where they give you the glass and the big metal cup.

Very disappointed. We sat in our cramped table for 20 minutes before being served. The food was unappetizing and overpriced.
