Let me preface this by saying I was a general manager for a chain pizza store for several years, with gross sales over $20k per week. I know a thing or two about pizza establishments and within 10 minutes I can fully assess an operation. This particular store was a little lean on staffing (and a bit mom-n-poplike with display and appearance) but the product is superb. The tomato sauce and added seasonings are terrific, high quality cheese and pepperoni are used, and their crust is made with low (or possibly no) shortening or oil. A digression: Comments about "bland taste " usually come from customers who are accustomed to eating pizza crust with an extremely high oil and/or shortening content and lots of salt added to the sauce. Its not good for you, but adds flavor and preserves the pizza better for eating later on (shortening especially) . Anyway, the only fault I found -- besides the light staffing that was waiting to get crushed during dinner rush -- was the old pizza waiting to be sold as slices. Its silly to have featured advertisements for slice and drink combos and subject customers to hours-old pizza waiting around in a heated glass display. They should refresh those pies for visual appeal and to adequately fulfill the promotion plastered all over the outside of the store. People walking in see "dead pizza" and I am sure many have walked back out. Its a pity because, when this particular pizza is hot and fresh, its really damn good. And healthy to boot.

Never Received the Food, Worst Customer Service Ever! Placed an order for delivery to an address on Ft. Belvoir through the Grub Hub site. I waited over an hour for delivery only to be called by the delivery driver who was not allowed on the installation. The driver was voicing frustration about driving around for ten minutes and not being able to get on base. Despite paying for a delivery it was agreed that I would meet the driver at an agreed upon entry gate. When I arrived at the gate the driver was nowhere to be seen. I called the driver and he yelled and ranted about not being able to drive around all day and having other things to do. Upon returning to the office I called the Z Pizza shop and spoke with a manager about cancelling my order that was never delivered. The manager said that they could deliver on post and that it was not his problem that his employee could not find me to deliver the pizza. The manager told me to take it up with Grub Hub. No pizza delivered, but this establishment feels that they should be allowed to keep payment with no goods or services rendered. They are extremely rude and unethical.

This is the worst service ever. We called them once and paid for extra toppings. Pizza comes, no toppings. I call them and their response was basically. "To bad, we are closed now." I was angry, so they said they would give us a free pizza next time. So against my better judgement I decide to let there be a next time. Not only was the promise of it being free total bs, but an hour and a half goes by, and no order. So I call them to check on the delay, as my food was supposed to arrive between 30 and 45 minutes. Not only was there no apology for the long wait, the woman on the phone was totally incapable of helping me, as she didnt know her own system well enough to even find my order, then she began yelling at me. If zpizza wants to maintain business, it sounds like they need to do some serious training. Or fire rude, incompetent staff and start over.

Pizzas are great if you pick it up! Placed an order on line. Said it would take 1 hour to deliver. I can see the z-pizza from my house So I called and asked were they that backed up. The server said yes. I asked how long it would be if I drove over to get it. Was told 10 minutes. I asked if the pizza was ready in 10 minutes and I didnt pick it up would it sit for an hour before it was delivered and was told yes! Why cant they wait and make the pizza in 50 minutes then deliver it. Why should my pizza sit on top of the brick oven for 1 hour before delivered? No wonder the delivery pizzas taste like crap and the pick up or in restaurant taste so much better. Very poor planning, poor management! Will never have another pizza delivered from them again.

Since my local ZPizza place closed (Lorton VA) i have tried this place twice. Its too dirty for me, with poor food handling procedures. I watched the cashier pick up the slices of pizza for a takeout customer bare-handed, one-by-one to put in a box and could not help but notice the dirty bandage on his finger.. Didnt wash his hands after handling paper money, no gloves. In todays food workplace, thats unacceptable. I will not be returning.

The first time eating at ZPizza was great. The second time, I had the pizza delivered, it was cold, and the employees taking my order spoke terrible Engilsh. Tonight, I ordered a pizza thinking that the second time was a fluke, it was not, the pizza was even worse. It was delivered cold, soggy, and it looked like it was dropped. Never again- on top of the employees speaking poor english, they are very unfriendly.

Order online saves you hassle except they dont read the comments for the order. When i call oh em gee they interupt you, can not understand you at all, have to repeat several times, and apparently ordering things different from your previous order is too hard so just order the previous order and then it takes them 5 minutes to put that in. Headache. Love the food!! Love it. Just order online.

Wife explained order more than 5 times; order delivered incorrect. Pizza quality = buy something frozen, save $20 & it will be better. Amount of cheese on cheese bread = absolute zero (not even the loneliest little piece) The garlic sauce they gave me for the pizza was the pure garlic paste they spread on the garlic bread before baking... not a dip... gross

The manager/owner makes up his own rules from day to day. I went one day for the all day special and he said I couldnt get it. Isnt all day ALL DAY? I went a second time and he told me I couldnt get my sandwhich altered, I guess I was suppose to die from the cranberry sauce because Im allergic. I will not be going back Better Business Bureau please help.

Decent pizza if youre in a hurry, but definitely not great. I never thought I could have so many tasteless ingredients on one pizza. I got the garlic chicken pizza, could barely taste the garlic and the crust tastes of cardboard. The tables were all dirty (place was empty) on a Friday afternoon. I would not recommend Z Pizza to a friend or anyone I know.

Great pizza! For me, everything has to measure up to Papa Johns as the standard for excellent, middle-class-budget pizza. And Zpizza comes really close! Theirs has a really tasty combination of crust, sauce, and cheese. If you want a good alternative to your favorite chain pizza, give Zpizza a try!

Ordered on line, BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!! Only thing right in my order was the pizza and even that was cold when it was delivered! Have you ever heard of a chicken caesar salad with NO CHICKEN! Well believe it, zpizza has it. I did call and was offered a $10 credit but refused it, no worth coming back.
