Extremely bad food, the price is reasonable but when you consider that there are other places with better food, its not worth going here. The chefs here do NOT know how to cook scrambled eggs at all! The toast isnt toasted, just warmed, and the pancakes are overcooked. The ham was as thin as a piece of paper and burnt. At that point, I decided it wasnt worth going there anymore because every time I went, the food was really not cooked right. The waitress (who was so friendly and nice) told me she told the manager before bringing me the food that it didnt look right (didint taste right either), but the manager told her to bring it anyway. Then when I asked her to get the manager and she came out, she apologized but told me the ham always looks like that. WOW! Anyway, since I had so many bad experiences there, I asked to speak with the GM, John, who wasnt there. I left several messages and never heard from there. Apparently, hes not there long periods of time....part of the problem it seems. The other part of the problem is they definitely need a new chef or he needs some training and they could do a lot better with something as simple as toast...it should be toasted and at least, lukewarm when its brought out. And the eggs....oh my God. My13 year old can honestly cook eggs better. The bathroom is usually smelly, so Im not sure how clean it is back in the kitchen. I have gotten a few stomach aches after eating there. Dont order the steak, its tough and terrible (this is what made my stomach hurt). Anyway, I highly DO NOT recommend this place!

We could handle getting there at 8:45pm, waiting 10 minutes for a server, and being told the special wasnt available because it stops at 9pm - even though it wasnt 9 yet. It was close to 9 and theres a lot of items on the menu so no big deal. We could handle the unwillingness of the restaurant to sub different breakfast meat. Im a meat lover. No big deal. Theyre all good. We could handle ordering a chocolate milk and getting a milkshake instead. Hey, the shake was pretty good. We could even handle having to ask for water several times. Even though it wasnt busy its an item thats commonly forgotten. Ive had far worse service before. We could handle missing silverware. Just take it from the empty table next to us. What we couldnt handle - and why well most likely never go back - is the horrendous breakfast potatoes. Its hard to put into words just how bad they were. Too much oil? Wrong kind of oil? Im not sure. But they were the worst breakfast potatoes Ive ever had and Ive eaten diner potatoes from coast to coast. Cant have a diner with bad potatoes. Cant do it.

I had a desire for a turkey dinner, and I know they serve one here. I know the time I came is not busy 4pm hour. I ordered the soup (New England Clam chowder) and the baked turkey dinner. Yes it pre cooked stuff, not home made. Its ok. My sides I ordered were mashed potatoes and gravy and corn. The soup came very fast. And literally 3minutes later the entree, I wasnt eve half done the soup. And the order was wrong, she served me green beans. I corrected the order and she took away the green beans and brought corn. I was drinking water. When she brought the corn, I was almost out of water. She never refilled the glass or offered. After she dropped off the corn, in fact I never saw her again. Another server servicing a table across the room came over to me when I flagged him down for a refill of water. I was never checked on during my dining exerience. The initial waitress name on the bill is Serke. Needless to say I wont be back anytime soon. Sadly I really like their breakfast.

Hello fellow tasters. Im a customer of the Milkshake Lady Roxanne. I have devestating news. On July 2 nd while working her shift Roxanne received a phone call that her only son 28 year old Justin had been murdered . He was not involved in any kind of illegal activity what so ever he was having a celebration at his own home where it took place . Roxanne is a waitress and as we know times are hard and funerals are at an average of 10,000. Please joint me as a customer of the diner and donate what you can to taste diner . What ever you can prayers for her and her family are welcomed as well. Thanks again . God Bless!

Old and poorly kept. Seating is strange and one waitress per section. Over 15 tables per section. Over crowded, we had to get our own cutlery from the kitchen, tarnished drink cups, we waited over an hour for a glass of water, and they brought our food out at different times so some of us were finished with our meals while some were still waiting for their food to be delivered. The restaurant has a strong foul odor when u walk in! The only saving grace was the super young and extremely kind waitress who was able to be kind and courteous even though her customers were drunk and obnoxious.

Service was AWFUL! No greeting. The tables were sticky. We didnt have a waitress until we said something. When the food came we didnt have utensils, we had to ask for them. The waiters were standing around watching tv. Ive never been to a place so unprofessional in my life. I would not go back to this nor will I recommend this place to anyone. Also the cups arent that big in the picture, theyre small like kid size cups and youll get charged for a large. Which reminds me I asked if all drinks were free refill, I was told yes and some actually werent.

The Tastee diner is family owned , open 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. Serving the Dc area since 1935. Its one of the few authentic, American Diners in existence. The Washington Post labeled it Mont. Ctys most famous Diner. Homestyle cooked meals like Grandmas kitchen. Serving breakfast around the clock. The TASTEE DINER is the real deal, not just an expensive imitation. Its where the locals go. They must be doing something right. THERE IS A PARKING LOT DIRECTLY BEHIND DINER. Also parking on the street and public parking directly across the street

The difference between a Diner in New Jersey and Maryland is the difference between food you actually enjoy eating, and food which you must force down. This place serves food that you were forced to eat in high school. They dont care. In a Real diner you eat things like fresh shrimp, even lobster sometimes. A Diner in the NY area looks nice, even if the servers dont. The difference between Maryland "diners" and New York diners, is that in NJ and NY they actually serve good food. This place, whatever its history, serves s_it.

come from the land of the all night ,everyday dinner experience.... This falls woefully short...on food and certainly on service.... This Dinner would not survive if people had a taste of REAL DINNER food...what a SHAME...Authentic...? The other reviewer hit the nail on the head..."An experience for the NEWBIES ". Yet he forgot to say..." A [substandard] experience " .... And HEY Lisa Babstibner...."one of the few AUTHENTIC dinners.... " ......? ? ? ..W.T.F. ...then you have not been to JERSEY.. :)
