Allow me to give any readers of this some point of reference. I am not a native Marylander, I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and as such, things like pork, beef, chicken and any animal product are astonishingly easy to obtain in high quality and quantity. I was not expecting the same when I moved to a place where dairy, poultry and porcine farms are not nearly as common. I was not expecting the same quality level as what can be found in the biggest meat packing city in the nation. Now, moving beyond this. I ordered their two eggs, corn beef hash, and a side of wheat toast with some coffee. My friend ordered their Breakfast Special which had two eggs, hash browns, a pair of pancakes, bacon and sausage. He also got some coffee. As a direct report from my meal, the hash browns were not so much hash browns, but sliced potatoes cooked poorly and squished together. The corn beef hash was out of a can and the eggs were flavorless. On the whole, even several dashes of tabasco were not enough to give me any flavor beyond "salt" and "despair" The coffee tasted like bitter water, and we never got any refills on it or on water. The toast was small and came to the table cold. My friends meal tasted much the same, the Bacon was bland and the sausage was mostly grease. I refused to even touch the sausage because it looked poorly cooked and poorly selected. The pancakes were made from a box. The service was sub-par. Even if it was packed from church goers, our table was not cleaned when we were led to it, and we never got refills on water or coffee. The price was FAR higher then what it should have been, our meals cost around 12 bucks for something that should have cost 8 bucks to make it worth it. The bathroom was dirty, the toilet brush was sitting against the wall of the stall I went in, and the floor was littered with torn toilet paper. Do not go here, if you want good food, go across the street to the H mart and get some real food at their food court.

The Double T at this location has become very laid back. There is no personal greeting, no urgency in the staff to move, no detail to attention from the staff that was taught in the finer restaurants. The food has remained good. Some great, some not. Salad dressings must be homemade; there is too much inconsistency for bottled. Cost is not looked after: salad dressings are served in plastic 2 ounce cups, sandwiches are wrapped in a paper, rather than presented well on a plate. Our waiter did not know what came on the sandwiches. Of course the menu is so large (and not clean at all), unless one designed the menu, I doubt all the staff does know. Our waiter was all over the house. Mostly when we needed him, he was somewhere else. One other waitress did help us out. The cheesecakes still look wonderful, the pastry display was FULL at 9 pm, making me wonder how long they are kept and what happens to left over pastry? The cheesecake I had was just under room temperature and runny on the sides, not cold and creamy as it has been before. Rolls and bread? We were told at the end of our meal you have to ask for them now. Not sure how we were supposed to know this piece of information! Price was not bad, $4.65, I think for the plain. Our table of 4 had one soda and the rest waters, 2 sandwiches and 2 entrees, and 2 desserts: $76. Overall the food is still a 4, our service tonight was a 2, averaging to a 3. Management needs to kick it all up a notch, starting with themselves. Too many new places are available to try now, leaving oldies but no longer goodies like this struggling to keep up.

First of all, I LOVE eating breakfast out! So its quite unusual for me not to enjoy a breakfast out... after all, how can you mess up pancakes & eggs? Well, this place did. 1. Our food was lukewarm. 2. The pancakes taste... STRANGE... my husband and I could just not figure it out. They are more yellow than Ive ever seen before and were simply not palatable. My husband and I both left half of the pancakes untouched. 3. The prices were high. I paid $7.65 for two pancakes & two eggs. There was 1 combo plate available that included many breakfast favorites, but I dont eat meat so I had to order a la carte. 4. When we walked in, my husband quickly noticed signs about gratuities automatically being included... they have a system all worked out - 15% on any bill over $30 from __am-__pm; thereafter 15% automatically included. Period. Is this because they know the food and service are not that great and they dont want to get "stiffed"? Oh well... they lost out. We usually tip 20% or higher. 5. While it could be considered prompt service, it was unfriendly service. 30 seconds after we sat down, our waiter approached and without a greeting, asked us if we were ready to order. Um, no. It was our first time to the diner ever. We were unfamiliar with the massive, jam-packed, tedious menu. Plus, we were preoccupied with trying to make space on the small table that was overcrowded primarily by a huge bowl full of condiments. So, needless to say, we will not be going there again, and I would definitely not recommend it to friends or even enemies. Youre probably better off with McDonalds. Seriously.

The food was fine but the service was terrible!!! She was in and out in and out. The drinks came out wrongly made, the woman rushed us out of the resteraunt then told us half of the menu is unavailable due to the time we walked in. We asked her to split the checks and she immediately cut me off by saying you can split checks at the front desk. Then when we leave to go and pay the bill the lady was rude yelling "next!" then after I had paid my meal she told me there are still two drinks on here. My drinks were $16!!! I guess its because of the automatic gratuity charge then almost argued with me and told me "you didnt tell me those drinks were yours" after I had gave her my card she told me we cant swipe the same card twice. The first time I paid it was with cash so she obviously wasnt paying attention. These people are rude give terrible service and dont know how to talk to people. It was my birthday and Im never going back there again. As far as the menu goes they need to have a late night menu of items that are available instead of telling us what isnt available. They need to take off the auto gratuity charge because that waitress shouldnt have gotten a penny from me let alone an auto 15% gratuity charge. They need to replace the staff, fire some of them or retrain them. I have never had such a horrible experience.

Ok people. Lets get on thing out the way. THIS IS NOT A FANCY DINER! This is an old school, blue collar, institution. If you want Panko crusted, goat chews stuffed, fried green tomatoes with a drizzle of balsamic reduction, THIS IS THE WRONG PLACE. On the flip side, if youre looking for old school comfort food and diner classics at a fair price, then this is the place for you. Ive noticed a lot of people complaining about the quality of the food. Complaints about the food being from a can or frozen. Some say the food tastes like a cafeteria. Well, all you have to do is look at the size of the establishment and menu to understand why. (1) The price doesnt justify top quality cuts of meats and fresh EVERYTHING (2) this place does Breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day every day, requiring all food to be ready at any point during the day (3) the sheer volume this place does cant support anything but boxed, frozen, and canned on some products, WHILE STILL PROVIDING THE SAME VALUE Some of you are just impossible to please. If you are expecting fine dining and service frills, don not waste your time here. If you want a hearty meal and good value for your money, THEN YOUVE FOUND THE PLACE. My favorite time to eat at Double T: after a long, hard day of work. Good home style food for a fair price.
