First time to visit this place in Wheaton. I have lived here all my life and most of the places I loved have closed down and have all become some sort of Mexican restaurants. This is my new favorite place! Besides it being close by....it has the most authentic Italian food that I have every had! My husband is Italian and we were just so excited about how amazing the food was and what a wonderful atmosphere and very romantic. The staff was great. The owner greets you at the door. Very classy mom and pop place! The food is almost as good as....anyway, it was very nice to find a true Italian place that isnt a BAR, with loud drunks. I will be going back, for sure! My husband called all his relatives to tell them about this place. This is the real deal! Oh and did I mention the food is just amazing! Can not wait to go back and try everything on the menu! It is a little pricey, but so well worth it! We had three amazing appetizers: calamari (that melts in your mouth) clams casino (amazing) and mussels in white wine (amazing)....we shared a huge plate of (cant remember the Italian name) of mussels, claims, shrimp, salmon and scallops with linguine in an awesome red sauce, with a salad and two glasses of wine....with tip it was only $72.00! Just a wonderful night out and well worth it if you you want REAL Italian food and not some chain line garbage!

We recently moved to this side of town. I dont review a restaurant until I have eaten there at least three times. The first time it was merely okay. This is why I wait to review. My tastebuds must have been off the first time, because everything seemed bland. That has not been our experience on subsequent visits. Despite the previous complaints about price, the place is very reasonable for the DC area (perhaps the reviewer is not a local). Also, yes, the breaded chicken dishes are thin. But they are supposed to be. They should be pounded. My husband and I each had different chicken dishes last time, and they were both amazing. The chicken was moist, and the sauces were very flavorful. Everything tastes authentic. But the place where they diverge from authenticity (in a good way) is that if you order a meat, pasta and salad come with it. My experience in Italy was a meat dish was a second course, and if you wanted pasta you had to pay for it as a first course. This Americanized service is much appreciated. The owner is always at the door and appears to remember all the regulars by name. He is always welcoming to our family. I enjoy the cheap house wine. The service is fast and friendly, and the food is great. Going for another visit tonight and I cant wait.

This is the best Italian restaurant in the area. Some reviewer below complained that their chicken parmigiana was smashed thin. Newsflash, that is how it is suppose to be prepared. That is what brings out the flavor in chicken. Outstanding food at an excellent price for this area. Very enjoyable atmosphere, and almost every time I have gone, the owner has greeted us. Try the place for lunch, easy to do in just a half hour even for entrees. I challenge you to find a better chicken parma, Amalfis, Amici Mieis, Mama Lucis , Timpanos, Gregorios, none of them beat it.

Found via Google, small storefront but once in, the smells are wonderful. The service was good and the food was very good. Caprese salad tomatoes could have been more ripe but the homemade mozzarella and plenty of fresh basil made up for it. Grilled fish was excellent. Tiramisu about the best Ive ever had. Atmosphere intimate, quiet and great for a romantic dinner.

Coming back here for my mom mothers day dinner! Everything is delicious. My favorites are the special pork chops (so not sure if its available every time), white wine clam pasta and the homemade tiramisu. The tiramisu is different from all the other restaurants Ive tried, they have a cream and chocolate sauce over it, oh, so yummy!

Cristinas is a small, authentic Italian place. Their decor and seating feels intimate but the mirrored wall makes the place feel bigger. Their menu is reasonably priced and has great options. Fresh bread and butter come with the table and is so delicious! The tiramusi is worth splitting with a date for a great finish to the meal.

One of our go-to spots for good Italian in the area. It has higher prices than many other area restaurants, but its also a much better restaurant than many in the area. A nice variety of options, well prepared and flavorful dishes, and a reasonably priced wine selection make it worth the trip. The food makes it worth the return.

Fantastic food, moderate prices and great service. First time there and seemed like staff knew everyones first name who walked in. The Pollo Mafiosa was great and lobster ravioli made my wifes valentine dinner perfect. The free bread pre meal tasted fresh baked and there was two different types. Cant wait to get back!

Took my better half back for her birthday and had a most wonderful meal. Red Snapper grilled was one of the specials of the day and it was a meal I will happily remember to look for in the future. Wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection with green beans and half of potato. Bellisimo.........

Food was alright but way overpriced. Paid $17 for chicken parmesan that was very thin chicken and mostly breading. Also, $9 for a glass of subpar house wine is ridiculous. When will restaurants learn that charging exorbitant prices doesnt automatically make you high quality?

Absolutely brilliant. Front of house is warm, and charming, and the food speaks for itself. Fresh, simple, clean, vibrant, flavorful, and bursting with authenticity. No one does fresh authentic Italian food better for the money. Bit pricey, but well worth it. Salud!

Best Italian restaurant in Montgomery County. Every other restaurant has really spicey and peppery taste, not Cristinas. I have been coming to this place for the past 18 years. As a former native New Yorker I highly recommend this place.

Loved the family-style wait staff. The men who served us treated us like kings for a meal and were as friendly as you can get. Very small, proving that great things come in small packages.

I just had to take a moment away from my Almond Cake to say that I love this place. My food was fresh and delicious. I am a snob when it comes to Italian food this place is amazing.

Great tasting food. The shrimp scampi appetizer was scrumptious!! Good service and ambiance. Although costly food for such a simple place in a non-expensive neighborhood.

Me and my family had the worst serivice in this restaurant; we were mistreated because of our race. I highly recommend people to think twice before going there

The wine list will not excite a sommelier. I guess it is not necessary though. Apart from it, everything is delightful - food, service, even the visitors.
