Before I start, let me say that I really wanted to like this place....the former occupants(Totinos) had good food and I figured this restaurant would follow in its footsteps. The wait staff is courteous and attentive, so no problem there. There were three in my party, and this was our first visit. There was an 8 yr old child with us whom we ordered foccacia pizza and a cup of milk, the two adults ordered Cobb salad with roasted chicken and the Caesar salad. The pizza arrived with pepperoni and cheese with a marinara sauce on tremendoulsly thick foccacia bread...lwith the thickness of a layer cake and tasting stale and warmed over...the child would not eat it. The milk was warm and sour. Another cup was brought to the table and it too was warm and sour! The salads were chocked full of fresh greens but were so bland that we kept adding salt and pepper, there was very little cheese in the Ceasar salad as well. The Cobb salad was substantial but the dressing was also incredibly bland. All either salad needed to spark them up was lots of cheese and some Italian herbs and basic seasoning like a little garlic...not a difficult thing to do. The real kicker was the one 4 oz glass of white wine that we were billed 10$ for!!! Maybe the pastas are good, we didnt try them but if they are anything like what we had, forget it. One more note....we liked the decor, however there was a party of 8 people two tables away from us who were so loud that the couple next to us asked to be moved. Is there no private place to have larger groups? This restaurant needs help, I wish them luck with their business but we will not be returning anytime soon.

We have been watching the renovation and are so happy with the improvement to Reisterstowns Main Street. They have transformed this building into a beautiful restaurant - both inside and out. We have eaten there 3 times already and each time we try something new. Our favorite spot is in the lounge area near the fire place! Very cozy! LOVED the Mussels in Scampi over Gemeli. Ate it ALL! The Cesar Salad was the perfect compliment (fresh homemade dressing)! Shrimp and Crab in Pesto over Spaghetti also received 2 thumbs up and the "Build Your Own Pasta Bowl" was a big hit choosing bolognese sauce over the gemeli with some chicken on top! ( There was enough for lunch leftovers the next day) What can I say we LOVED the gemeli as we never had it made from scratch before! We did get dessert the last visit as it was a special birthday and the birthday girl who makes her very own Tiramisu actually gave it a huge compliment ( and ATE IT ALL!) Looking forward to many good meals and cant wait to try the Pizza, and the Spaghetti with clams.. SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM!

We had dinner there tonight with friends. We arent the type of people that complain when we are out with people had we been alone we really would have been vocal about the quality of the food. The Italian salad had a sweet dressing and not in a good way. The pasta was so thick that with a tiny showing of peas (maybe 5) and not much more prosciutto it came across as an mushy mess. My husbands shrimp had batter/crumbs so thick that you took a few bites before actually finding the shrimp. Those had that soapy ammonia thing going on. No bread was served. Well, maybe it was on the outside of the shrimp. The restaurant had beautiful lighting and the wait staff was trying very hard. I was a bit surprised when the server didnt ask about my husbands dish when he removed the full plate. Well he did ask if we wanted a box. We didnt.

Food was decent, but after we sat at a table with a freezing cold draft for over 40 minutes (my mother had to wear her coat, and I was cold in my fleece) they moved us to a warm table. I politely asked our waitress if they could maybe comp us a dessert or drink for the inconvenience and the manager came angrily to my table, got right in my face, and said, "Are you saying I didnt give you good service?" Despite my calmly answering him he escalated his aggression and created a huge scene in the middle of the crowded dining room. As I was leaving several of the servers, who were all very nice and professional, apologized to me for their bosss unprofessional and frankly bizarre behavior. Wont be going back, and will be telling my friends and family in the area to avoid it also.

My husband and I eat here a few times a year and weve never been disappointed. The restaurant is small and intimate. The food is wonderful and the cocktails are delicious (although a little expensive). The owner/manager often comes around to chat and ask if everything is okay. He is genuinely interested in the conversation and is rightly proud of the restaurant. The ladies room is truly Italian, with real stall doors that go almost to the floor and no gap between the door and stall. I know its strange to say but its this attention to detail and knowledge of the real Italy that sets this place a part from all the other Italian restaurants in the area. Firenze is locally owned and operated and I hope it continues to be successful.

Value for the $$. We ordered two appetizers to split 4 ways...one was bland and the other sub par. We always order the eggplant caprese and cocktail shrimp for starters. Four people splitting 5 shrimp and no one wants the last is a sign they were sub par. Waitress didnt seem to care so you get a mediocre review. I wanted to take it out of her tip but overall the service was good. To be fair my first visit was 4.5 stars, my second 3.5 to 4 and this last was underwhelming. The entrees were enjoyable. Also, why not seat guests further apart on slower nights? Overall Im sorry I requested to go there this last time. Two of the four guests would not return.

We went with two 6-year-olds, to celebrate the end of ballet, and we were stuck there for 2 hours because everything took so long! 20 minutes to meet the waitress for the first time (we should have left), another 40 before we got our food, and a full hour before we were able to get the check. I had to speak with the hostess 3 different times to get our waitress to keep coming back! And there were only 3 tables occupied, so it wasnt busy at all when we arrived. Plus, nothing was comped for the inconvenience. The kids were miserable by the time we left, and so were we. I will say that at least the kids enjoyed the pizza and the chicken tenders.

I tried out Firenze for the first time yesterday. I was with a party of 4 for late lunch. The waitress brought out bread with dipping oil which was nice to start with. I got the lasagna with the house salad and both were delightful! The salad was so fresh and filled with veggies and green olives. I highly recommend the Gorgonzola dressing. The lasagna noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was tangy. The waitress said the pasta, sauces and salad dressings are homemade. The waitress was attentive and polite. I will be back and I hope others try out this great establishment.
