This review wrote itself the moment I walked in, but I decided to stay and eat anyways. Before I begin I should mention that I went for the buffet, and thats what I had. The atmosphere was downright dreary. Thats not to say it wasnt clean, but it was certainly lacking life. Dark and.. given up on. Theres a decent sized dining room and a tiny buffet. I mean really tiny. Probably about 15 dishes, most being small appetizer type things (egg rolls, rangoon, etc). No salad bar or sushi to be seen. The food on the buffet was inexcusable. We went at about 1pm, prime lunch hour, and the food looked as if it had been sitting under the heatlamps since the night before. The noodles were dry, the Cho-Cho (beef on a stick) was like cardboard, and everything else was luke-warm and generally unappetizing. There was a decent dessert selection that included soft serve ice cream, pudding, jello, and an assortment of canned fruit (Mandarin oranges, pears, peaches, etc). The service was very pleasant. We were greeted as we walked in, the server was very attentive and my glass was never empty, and they offered to make some Sweet & Sour chicken when they noticed it running dry (one of the only safe options). The lunch price wasnt bad. 8 dollars per adult and 3.50 for the 3 year old. Normally this would be a fine value but the food wasnt worth 5 dollars let alone 8. Overall we left very disappointed and not in the least bit full. I cant speak for the food cooked fresh off the menu so dont use this review as an indicator of their takeout, but believe me the buffet was miserable.

I disagree with the average rating. A group of us locals go there weekly. The service is always good, the food selection is outstanding. They dont have a liquor license. I recommend the buffet. Try the salt&pepper shrimp, king crab legs and many delicacies that you wont get at a standard buffet restaurant. Its not ritzy and not large, but it is clean, the service is generally excellent. It seats about fifty. The buffet represents a great value for what they offer. For the price, about $7.50 for all you can eat, with ice cream and other desserts, you cant beat it in the Odenton area. I spoke with the owner who said she had been in business for about ten years. We havent had a bad meal there and there is always something new to try. Highly recommended if you want a good meal in a clean establishment with a variety of choices. and dont want to drop a bundle.

We frequent Hunan China frequently. In terms of Chinese food weve had in our travels and different places of residence, the food is average. This comes from a limited sampling of their fare. I usually order the Orange Chicken or General Tsos Chicken. My wife the Brocolli Beef. I am personally used to a crisper, darker Orange chicken, whereas what they serve looks more like fried chicken pieces. The General Tsos chicken, even when ordered spicy doesnt live up to the taste of others. As for the staff, they are as friendly as Ive ever encountered in a Chinese Restaurant. Whether we eat in or take out, the staff is always extremely friendly. In the end, for us it is close, it is reasonably priced, the food is ok, the staff is great, so we keep going!

I have been coming to this place for about 11 years now. The people there are friendly and the food is not bad for the price you pay. They keep the buffet full all the time and if there is something you want but is not out they will gladly make it for you. Sure the food is not 5 stars but when you are working late or just dont feel like cooking its a great place to hit up.

My family and I have been buying from this restaurant for years. The service is great, the food is excellent and well priced, and the restaurant is clean. Definitely recommend the buffet! I know some are comparing this restaurants food to high-up restaurants from other areas, but this is the best LOCAL Chinese food around.

My friends and I went there and they disrespected us very much. Just because we were not adults. My friend had spilt his soda and we tried to talk to the the waitress and she repeatedly ignored us while watching a movie on her phone. They did not have many choices and I was was very disappointed.

I was excited because of the close proximity to Fieldstone Farms apartments and being new to the area, but it was a huge disappointment. The food (as stated) is horribly bland. I will say the service was very pleasant, if that counts for anything. To sum it up-I didn’t save the left over’s!

1 of the only places I get my Chinese food. Love Angie, shes amazing and the food is always awesome. I have been going here since high school, moved away and am now back in the area and back to Hunan China. Great taste everytime and worth the prices

Always carry-out for family at least once a month. Seems a little pricey, but they churn out quality food. Very convenient when too lazy to cook. Do enjoy getting free egg rolls when I do exceed $30. Plenty of food.

Ive only done the get-it-and-go. No dine-in!!! Food is good. Serving size is large enough for 2-3 servings. I love their plastic containers because they are re-usable.
