Find somewhere else to get Chinese food, lousy food and rude owners. I ordered a General Tsos chicken, it was two small pieces of chicken and then nothing but fried breading pieces, no chicken. I called the restaurant to let them know, they could care less. The man ( said he was the owner) I was speaking with then asked me want I wanted. I said I would like to get a credit or refund, he said I would need to drive back and return the dish to get a refund. I replied that was not possible, distance and time, he said no refund and hung up. Iti is sad that Mt.Airy has not had a decent Chinese establishment since China Taste closed. Dont waste your money on this place, I had given them a couple of chances, and the food had been mediocre at best (and yes, I had gotten the General Tsos before and it was nothing like I recieved today), this was the last straw. ( and dont believe for a minute that the cook was unaware of what he had done, no freaking way.). To the owner, this is my response to your rudeness and the lack of accountability to provide a properly made product for which you were paid and had the opportunity to remedy.

Absolutely inedible. I actually thought that they had given me the wrong dish. Actually, Im still not sure that they didnt although they insist that it was Szechuan Chicken. It was tremendously sweet, not hot at all, breaded chicken balls with broccoli. Look up any recipe for Szechuan Chicken and tell me if that sounds remotely correct. It was awful. I called to say I thought I had gotten the wrong order and rather than offer to correct it or to satisfy me, they argued. So I threw it away (I didnt eat anything beyond the first nibble because UGH!) and Im doing something that I very rarely do, and posting a negative review. It is horribly bad food, backed up by horribly bad service. Whats not to hate?

Highly recommend the Sesame Chicken - ask for white meat (avoid the dark meat). Sauce is great and its crispy fried with just a little broccoli. Dont get the General Tsos - its overloaded with vegetables. Good chinese food is hard to find in Mt. Airy. Big Chef is our "go to". Really like the hot & sour soup - always get that when I have a cold or fever and it makes me feel better. Also - they are fast. When you phone in your order, theyll say 10 minutes - but its ready in 7. Wait too long to pick up and your sesame chicken will get soggy. Its fantastic when its hot & crispy!

Big chef used to be good but not anymore. Today I had shrimp and broccoli and the shrimp was mushy soft an indication that is not fresh in my opinion. The broccoli was yellow thats old for sure. Thats what I got today. Oh and their customer service skills lack big time. But I dont really care if you dont say hello or or even look at me in the face because what I really care about is good fresh food... and today no stars! Yours truly, Nancy

Horribly rude staff! My order was messed up, missing an egg roll. After driving all the way back, they insisted I ordered a dish that didnt include an egg roll. They refused to make it right, wanted me to drive back home to get the dish and return it! Ridiculous customer service! NEVER go to this poor excuse for a restaurant! There are better options in Mount Airy with nice owners/employees and better quality food

I havent lived in Mt. Airy for over 4 years, but every time I go back there, I HAVE to stop and get the General Tsos chicken lunch special with egg roll. It is THE BEST Chinese food ever! You get very good portions-excellent really, and its all very fresh. The people are really nice too! Ive tried all kinds of places near my house now, and none of them even come close.

We ordered the orange chicken, general tso chicken, hot and sour soup. First of all they dont deliver. The orange chicken tasted like you were eating the inside of a cows anus. Generals tsos chicken was horrible. If I was walking in a desert for 5 days with no food or water and came across this place I would just keep walking and so should you.

If you are looking for Chineese food in Mount Airy then stop, they are all bad. Its as if they are in a race to the bottom. I called and they said that my order would be ready in 10 minutes, thats because the food was cooked sometime in the past week or so. I ended up throwing it away. Dont try the other restaurant either, its just as bad.

Without a question, the worst restaurant I have ever made the mistake of eating at. Food was bland and slimy and was served on cheap paper plates. The tiny restaurant was filthy, the food was AWFUL and overpriced - actually they should have paid me to eat that disgusting excuse for actual food. Starving would be a better option. GROSS!!!

Weve been eating at Big Chef for nearly 20 years but never again! Our Shrimp Fried Rice was not fried but just mushy rice with brown stuff and very little vegetables. We also ordered Shrimp Lo Mein which which was also mushy, lacked vegetables and any seasoning. Tasted like it was out of a can! Very disappointed!

Worst experience they gave me all fried rice when I ordered white rice. My main dish I ordered General tsos chicken they gave me 3 pieces of chicken and the rest was all vegetables and no fortune cookies. Will not be going back there again. Very disappointing.

This is my favorite Chines food in mt airy. I order the chicken & broccoli in Garlic sauce( which is not on the menu- they make it special for me!) and it is fantastic. The Fried Dumplings are awesome as well!

The worst. I asked for fried rice and big cheff gave me white rice. They are fags in customer service!!!!!! We need a good Chinese restaurant in mt.airy. HOPE THEY CLOSE!!!!

Great food, although they mess up the orders occasionally, but all the better, since the food is still amazing! Id recommend the Chicken Lo Mein or General Tsos Chicken.

I love their hot and sour soup. They have good lunch specials (they used to be great but they stopped giving you the free egg roll a couple of years ago). Great deal!

Rice tasted old and gross. The sesame chicken was disgusting, I ordered all white meat and hahaha....gross. I do not recommend them at all waste of money...
