It has been a while since I went to Long Beach and have been wanting to give it another try since its a local place and I was told they are under new ownership. Last owners kind of let it go downhill and I stopped going there. I went there with my lady on a recent night. Service is really bad, and I mean really bad. Although we were handed menus when we got there when we tried to order food we were told the kitchen was closed. It may have helped if bartender would have handed us menus and told us kitchen will be closing soon. Mixed drinks were weak and trying to get the bartenders attention for additional drinks was next to impossible as she was too busy trying to put chairs up and clean at 9 PM. When not trying to put chairs up the bartender was busy texting on her phone or talking to a couple of guys at end of the bar. I guess she forgot that good service brings a good tip. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. New owner needs to get a staff that actually wants to work and wait on customers.

we went because i had purchased a CBS local offer coupon and i occasionally look for opportunities to leave the city to eat. these excursions often do not end well. however, this was a pleasant surprise. we had the crab cakes & bacon wrapped scallops. both were quite good. the scallops were done just right & the crab cake was lightly seasoned with nice lumps of crab & no weird flavorings. the sides were good too. probably from a bag, but seasoned well & prepared just right. the only hiccup was in my draft beer. it tasted like the kegs had been changed recently, but the lines hadnt been flushed well enough. this was easily fixed by just telling the server & she replaced the beer with a bottle. service was fine. the price point is right on, if not downright reasonable for the food we received. place is clean (looks newly renovated) and we had a nice evening. if im ever in the area again, id be happy to return!

I live right down the street from Long Beach and I recommended it for my parents anniversary dinner. We went on Sunday Dec 20th around 6:00pm. There were 10 of us in our party. There was only one other group in the restaurant, which is usually not a good sign, especially around the holidays. Everyone had the same opinion of the experience. The service was not good. The food was not hot. and the prices were too high. Im ok with paying for a more expensive meal, but I expect the service to be great (we all waited around with empty glasses while the waitress was God-knows where) and I expect hot food. The typical response was "it might have been good if it were hot". I was not pleased that I was the one who recommended Long Beach and was let down. I really wanted to like the restaurant, because its local, but I wont be back. Sorry!

Close to Martin State Airport. Ordered a dozen oysters for $12. They were huge, fresh, and delicious. Awesome deal. Followed up with an Asian glazed tuna steak seared rare that was great. Rinsed it all down with a Ravens Brew lager. Ill be making this a regular stop whenever flying in. Addendum-dropped one of my flight gloves getting out of car when I arrived and didnt notice until I arrived home in DC. Called and the manger went outside, found it and stored in office until I can get back. Top notch.

The LBOH is pretty out of the way but is a great place for a meal with plenty of seating. I was really happy with my my crab cake sandwich that had shrimp salad, bacon, and was on Texas Toast. Very surprised with how large and tasty it was. I was very disappointed in the local oysters that we got to start with. The shucking job was very poor (parts of shell in the oyster) and their was no flavor. Maybe it was just the local ones though because I didnt try another variety.

My girlfriend and I went for a few drinks but ended up having a great experience. Ive eaten king crab legs all over the country and can honestly say that Long Beach has the best, they are flavorful and the legs are cooked perfectly....and easy to take the shell off...many other restaurants oversteam the crabs and theyre mushy. We look forward to heading back to Long Beach very soon.

They got this guy that works the door, they call him "Too Pretty", he has amazing hair. Come for that, then stay for the great food, live music, and to see what unfolds. Its like the double duece but in real life and not just a fantasy.......

Delicious food. Service was slow today, but they definitely made up for it with the food. Crab blend soup was awesome and the shrimp & crab dip quesadilla dumb good! Plenty of leftovers @ least for me. Give them a try!

If you are looking for a good time with good food with great people, long beach is the place for you. The utter bar is my favorite sports bar. Great sound system with a juke box with a killer selection

Pleasing my mother with a meal these days is not easy. She wanted fried oysters, and she was delighted. We all were. The service and the food was magnificent. I will most definitely be back!
