Ive been a regular customer for many, many years but am about to become an "ex regular customer" and need to let you know why. For the second time (second week in a row actually) Ive been to Ocean Pride for dinner and am appalled at the way weve been treated, especially after spending a good deal of our hard earned money to receive this treatment. Your website says you are open until 1 am on Sunday; perhaps thats the bars closing time but no mention is made about your restaurant. We made reservations for 2 for 8pm and almost as soon as we were seated, you started "closing up!" Chairs suddenly being piled on top of tables and a nonstop feeling of being rushed out really does not make for a fun, relaxing meal. With so many choices in this city for steamed crabs, I would hope that youd appreciate our business and even try to make us want to return. How very sad that you clearly dont appreciate the business Ive given you and dont seem to care about my future business either. Rest assured, I will be sharing my experiences with anyone and everyone I can.

Just had the worst experience in a restaurant ever. Its a DAMN SHAME! I grew up a block away form OP and have very fond memories. I can remember when it started as a crab truck on a vacant lot. I watched it over the years grow into a great local business. During my college years, many of my friends were employed there. But now, its not at all the same environment. First off, FILTH. Thats right, FILTH... the place smelled bad. Second, the service was unacceptable. We only saw our waitress 6 times in the entire 2 hours we were there. Finally, common items were marked "Market Price" on the menu. Come on now! $18 for an "okay" crab-cake sandwich and chips. I thought I would try a Po Boy sandwich but they were out of oysters... WHAT!? No oysters in a seafood restaurant!? Added on top of all of that, a $50 gratuity was added. I will NEVER come to this clip joint again. Its time to call John Taffer.

My husband and I took our daughter for a nice meal and discuss college open houses. The server took our order - without writing it down - and instead of a crab fluff, brought a crab cake. When I told her I ordered a crab fluff, she took it without a response and 10 minutes later, the same plate was brought to me with the same crab cake being put in the deep fryer. Shrimp salad was not good. Service and food were substandard and when my husband wanted to talk to the manager, he waved him off very rudely. For the first time in 20 years of dining out, I put "see your manager for your tip" and felt absolutely no guilt. Will not return to Ocean Pride

My husband and I reside in Raleigh, NC and visit the Outer Banks quite often as my Mom lives there. I LOVE steamed shrimp and have it there often. My husband is now working in Timonium, MD and we have frequented Ocean Pride quite a bit. The steamed shrimp is out of this world. So glad we found Ocean Pride. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We love Adair and Mary at the raw bar. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

I have been going to Ocean Pride since I was a small girl. My Dad would bring me in to have crabs and he would grab happy hour drinks. Great food, reasonably priced, good service and fun atmosphere! They also have carry out and a small selection of wine and alcohol onsite if you would like to leave with a 6 pack or a bottle - very convenient! Love their mussels and crab cakes and the ahi tuna skewers are yummy too!

I took a relative for crabs. In the past I had a great experience, but this time it was just not a good one. They only had jumbo crabs for $98/dozen, which would have been fine if it where not for the fact that (a) they were not JUMBOS and (b) they were not heavy at all. I was given MEDIUM at best for $98. Not happy AT ALL. Last time for me.

Ordered 2 dozen xl crabs for carry out 5 days in advance for a party. Got a call 3 hours prior saying they couldnt fill the order or any carry out order. I was then cussed out and hung up on when I asked to speak to a manager. Big let down. I will never take my business there again.

Crabs are way over priced and full of water. Beer was cold but I can get that from any place with a liquor license. Terrible crabs I cannot the sign out front said Big Crabs. We got 5 dozen Extra Large for 88 a dozen that were horrible. Enough Said!

RIP OFF! They charged me $110 for a dozen "jumbo" crabs which were closer to "medium." I brought this to the attention of the manager who said they were sorted by weight. When I asked what the weight cut off was, she became confused.

We loved the crab cakes. The place was busier than expected and gives you a tavern like feeling. I didnt like the Tilapia that they served. It was overcooked and didnt taste fresh.

$98 for jumbos is fine but our crabs were closer to large or med. They were also very watery like they were boiled. I was not impressed, Ive had much better crabs.
