Gone downhill! Weve been going to Salsas regularly since they opened but in the past 3 months or so we have noticed the quality of their food had really gotten bad, esp. if you get carry-out, (while the prices have gone up). My steak fajitas were dry and tasteless. My husbands camarones mexicanos was so hot it was nearly inedible (and flavorless except for the searing heat). To top it off, our flan was BURNT, not just overcooked (like it usually is), but burnt and inedible. Our order total was over $40--what a waste. I called to let them know (nicely and politely) about our experience (if you dont let them know theres a problem, they cant fix it) and got a polite but insincere response, "Sorry, Ill let the chef know... Do you want us to fix you another dish?" (40 minute roundtrip, so no thank you). Sorry to say, we wont be back.

The reason I gave two is in my opinion nice. We ordered cheese dip which was great. Loaded cheese fries. They were good except they used cheese dip and some under cooked bacon on it. Id order those again if I went back. But our meals, she got the sizzling faheta chickeb was delicious and favorable the steak was almost a tough as leather and a bit dry but still had great flavor. The rice was dry. My meal was a different story. My meat had no flavor and was bland undercooked steak and chicken and shrimp. The place had a dark evening romantic look but the actual dry food on the walls kinda gave it that motel 6 look. Our server never was able to be found until check time and boy he was quick. So its your choice you might have a better time then us.

Salsas is a relatively large restaurant that has large tables especially suitable for lunchtime. The dinner and lunch menus are quite large as they typically are at Mexican restaurants like this. Pretty much all of the food there is what youd expect. Surprisingly, the salsa is not anything to write home about, but they have a good queso/chorizo dish thats to die for. I typically get the fajitas which come out sizzling and are always great. Dishes usually come with sides of refried beans, rice, and pico de gallo each of which are good enough. I enjoy going here because the price and location are right and youll never leave hungry.

Food was not authentic by any means. It was Tex-Mex. And not good. Awful actually. Salsa tasted like tomato sauce seasoned with salt, black pepper and lime juice. The salsa verde came out of a jar and Im sure the enchilada sauce was also pre processed. We went because it had good ratings. Would not recommend. The staff was friendly until my food arrived. I ordered the chicken fajita taco salad. I was brought a chicken salad so when I told my server I was given the wrong order he insisted I ordered chicken salad. He wasnt rude about it just insistent. I know what I ordered.

This place used to be the go to place for Mexican dining. My visit last night was far less than satisfactory. The service was slow. When we received our order... 2 plates were luke warm, 1 meal was cold. We had to look around to find a server to help us. This was not our best experience with this Mexican restaurant in Leonardtown.

A hometown favorite - eat here often - tastes great, all the usual Mexican favorites but plenty of variety and choices on the menu, never greasy, very generous portions, quick and attentive service, family-friendly, large-group friendly, never unhappy with a single meal after eating here over a hundred times.

Service has been declining from how it used to be. The staff stands around talking with each other and they do not check back. Drinks go empty. I had to wait over 10 minutes after I was finished eating in order to have someone notice so I could get my check to pay and leave.

The waiter was extremely rude. Didnt get our order right. He didnt know the menu. And when he tried to get our attention he whistled at us like we were dogs. We were never disrespectful to him at all. This a really poop place. Never go there because theyre obviously sexist.

Waiter seemed bothered since we sat. Only saw him twice, once to order drinks and then to order food. Not once asked for refills. Everyones order came as asked, but rice seemed like it had been sitting out. I wont recommend this place, well at the very least order to go.

Cheap food and decent service but the quality of the food was terrible. The beans were paste and tasted like they were frozen. Everything is bland and has no spices. Everything tastes like its frozen or taken out of a can. Its cheap but you get what you paid for.

Awesome restaurant. Always fresh ingredients, very consistent on quality, and very cheap for the amount of food you get. Never seen this place at under 50% capacity, no matter what time of day, yet it is always quick to get a table even with people waiting.

Almost hate to say ... best mexican food, very friendly service, excellent value ... why would I hate to say, enough people know abut this place, the wait for a table can be quite long. So, people go somewhere else so I can get a table tonight ;)

Its ok. Food was decent. Have had better. Will try it again and get something else. The waiter could have been a little more friendly instead of looking and acting like we were bothering him every time we asked him for anything.

Food is sub-par. Service is either very good or very rude depending on what server you get. The food is right off the Sysco/US Food Service truck. Taco night at home would be a better meal.

Great prices and food was good and hot. Even though there was a rush when we came in, we got a table and got food within a respectable amount of time. Definitely will be coming back.

Went to salsas this weekend and had a great time! Everyone working was so welcoming especially Kimmey. She should definitely become a waitress. She was so nice and inviting!

The food are very plain no taste, had better Mexican food before in Lexington Park. The Service could be better to, just very friendly to the local and who they know.

Were Mexican food lovers living north of Salsas. Its our favorite place to go and slightly more reasonable prices, good portion sizes (if you like things *large*).
