Theyre willing to work within your budget ... if you are willing to spend $500+ per month on their products. Ive been searching for a company that would provide high-quality, organic, non-GMO (etc. etc.) meat, and Heartland seemed to fit the bill. The rep who came to our house to give the sales pitch didnt have to try hard--Id already done my research and was sold on the idea as soon as he walked in; I was ready to place an order. After over three hours of meeting with us--giving the pitch, preparing the foods, and talking price--he wasnt able to make a deal with us. We are on a very strict food budget but were planning to spend in the neighborhood of $250/month (and were willing to commit to their eight-month deal), but we were told he "couldnt make that number work" and that "they might not be the right company for us." He was able go come down from his initial $550/month to about $320/month (keep in mind--we werent getting a better deal, just less meals each month), but he wouldnt continue reducing the amount of meals per month in order to meet us at our $250ish budget. He was very nice and professional (and it turns out we even go to the same church--Hi, Steve!!), but Im so disappointed the company wasnt able to accommodate such a willing customer. He did say he would look into it, talk to his boss, and get back to us, but its been over month and we havent heard from him, so I guess its not going to happen. It seems like the only way they were willing to have us as customers was if we were willing to buy a (very highly-priced) home appliance from them--because then we could pay off the appliance in increments and also receive a discount on the meats, and with the discount we would fall into our comfortable $250 range (after about three years of paying off the appliance). *Sigh* Again, the rep was very nice and very polite, but he kept dropping big names--apparently many of his clients are local celebrities/athletes/CEOs/etc. This is GREAT for him, but left us feeling like the company is only willing to work within your budget IF you are in this elite league. This just rubbed us wrong when the company promotes themselves as being "willing to work with any budget". Last note: when I say I was willing to spend $250 per month for these "specialty" meats, keep in mind that this was IN ADDITION to other meats Id have to buy at the grocery store to complement these high-end meats, PLUS all of our other groceries each month. Bottom line ... theyre certainly worth trying out if youre willing and able to spend in the $500+ range per month.

It is very very important to me to eat a clean healthy diet. Im a professional athlete, nutritionist, and fitness specialist who has survived cancer, suffers from arthritis, and has had a plethora of injuries and surgeries during my years of pushing my body to extremes. Eating clean healthy food is the #1 way I am able to continue living my active lifestyle and doing things at 45 that most "20 somethings" cant do (or dont want to do...lol). Heartland Home Foods truly was the answer for me. I work 70+ hours per week so having the convenience of a "grocery store" in my home is a LIFESAVER and being able to thaw out my protein when I get home in 5 minutes and have it cooked in another 5-10 minutes to eat FRESH food is AMAZING! I have access to high quality all natural food from farms who practice humane harvesting which is very important to me (have you ever watched the documentary Food Inc.? ...horrible animal practices going on at these "industrial" farms). Finally, when dieting for a show and I need 4 ounces of protein, I can buy portioned 4 ounce servings that are ...get this...4 OUNCES after you cook them. If you are reading this with a confused look, buy a pound of your typical grocery store meats, remove from packaging, trim if necessary, and then cook it and weigh...you will most certainly NOT get a pound of meat due to packaging, added fat and saline, and so much more! With Heartland I get better quality food in the convenience of my own home at a price I can afford so it is a WIN-WIN!! Im so glad that this company exists because it is one of those rare places that makes life easier NOT more difficult and enables me to eat healthy!

My wife and I are both physique competitors (I am a competitive amateur bodybuilder, and she competes in the figure division), so we have the highest expectations and very specific needs when it comes to our nutrition plans. We have been working with Heartland Home Foods since approximately last November, and with amazing success! I can say nothing but positive things about the company so far. First and foremost, the food itself is ABSOLUTELY delicious, and you can truly taste the difference between quality grass-finished beef and chicken, and the farm-raised, mass-produced junk sold at most grocery stores. Secondly, Heartland was able to customize a program for us that fit easily within our budget, all with pre-weighed and pre-packaged serving sizes of the highest-quality meats available. During this contest prep, I started my diet at about 315lbs, and 26 weeks later, as of this morning, I am sitting at a ripped 232lbs-- a loss of 82lbs-- and Heartland Home Foods has made the process easier than ever, and tastier than ever! The food is high quality, way above what you find in your average grocery store, and yet affordable. Making sure my kids eat a clean, organic, non-gmo diet is extremely important to me as two of them have autism. Our food industry in this country is extremely corrupt and poisons our bodies and genetics. Most people dont realize how connected their ailments are to the GMO foods they are consuming. This company offers an amazing alternative and has helped me understand that there are still very good Americans out there running great American companies offering a great American product. I LOVE THIS COMPANY, what it represents and the food weve been eating is like having top quality restaurant food every night. So glad and relieved you are there!!

Although I love the food and the freezer I felt that I was mislead by the pricing. I did not understand that I would be paying interest one account and that I would have to pay on 2 different accounts. I asked several times during the presentation about the weekly price that I was quoted therefore I was surprised when I received two bills from an investment company. I was so confused. I was paying $540.00 on one account and $140.00 on the other account. This was not explained to me during the presentation.

We love heartland foods. We have had them delivering our food for three years now they are fantastic. The food is healthy plus so good. I could never go back to buying food from a grocery store. Justin is our rep and has always been so fantastic in getting everything we need on time.
