This restaurant is a great quick spot, especially for a reasonably-priced lunch. They serve well-cooked rotisserie chicken (in quarter chicken or half chicken servings), plus great sides such as fried plantains, fried yuca, and black beans and rice. This is the closest thing to authentic central american/south american street lunch food you will find in Bethesda or anywhere nearby. And a filling plate will cost you under seven bucks! A great place to get your grub on and fill your stomach with hearty south american comfort food!

This is a great hole in the wall type place. Pretty decent prices despite being raised a little over the past few years. Ive really only stuck with one thing on the menu and thats the 1/4 White Chicken with mac n cheese on the side. Cant beat that! This is definitely a good lunch place for the size portion you get since you wont walk away stuffed but definitely not feeling like you need more.

My favorite place to eat in Bethesda! Generous servings for a much lower price than I usually pay in this area. The chicken is SO JUICY and very authentic, and the sides (okay macaroni and cheese isnt exactly authentic Peruvian food) are all delicious! The fried plantains and yucca are awesome, and unusual Inca Cola is the perfect accompaniment. ¡muy muy sabroso!

The food is ok (but does not compare with the gold standard "Pollo Rico" in Wheaton). But, the chicken is tiny (1/4 chicken will leave a normal person - me - still hungry) and the prices are very high - $8.50 (dark) for a small lunch. More for white meat. The value is not there at all. I cant recommend this place and this is the last time Ill go there.

I am a regular customer and live within walking distance. As I walked up 25 minutes before close, the last staff locked the doors. If I was the owner, Id be furious. I usually go to chicken on the run 1-2 times a week, I may not return unless something is done to deal with the rude staff that doesnt respect their owners or their customers

I was about to eat there the other day when I noticed that a young man who worked there parking his black jeep in the handicap space. Hr hung a handicap placard in windshield and proceeded to carry boxes into the store. It appeared to me that he wasnt handicap and was abusing it. I wont be giving my business to a place with no morales.

They advertise much cheaper on the website then what they will actually charge you. Very dishonest business practices. The person we spoke to knew and had a smirk on her face knowing how dishonest they are. I guess most people in Bethesda have the money and dont care. I do have the money and think the BBB should shut them down.

The chicken is somewhat tasty, but lacks some flavor. I found myself using a lot more sauce than I normally would. The sides I got (rice+beans and potato salad) were pretty good. I would recommend getting the food to go because the restaurant is pretty small and the ambiance is definitely lacking.

I was there today for the first time for lunch. They were nice and fast and it was cheap but i think the chicken was under cooked cuz after 5 min i had the runs for about an hour! also rice was watery eww! but plantains were really good. Wont come back tho!

The 1/4 dark chicken, fries and bean and rice with a drink was the PERFECT meal! I mixed the green and tan sauce they gave me and dipped my chicken in it and WOW! Then I added ketchup to it for my fries. It was awesome. Im 100% coming back.

Food was great! Arroz Chaufa de Pollo y Aguadito! Need to try it again, portion was awesome! Not sure if it was cuz they were about to close but got me dinner and breakfast out of it.

My favorite Peruvian chicken joint, uber delicious, fall-off-the-bone tender chicken with healthy portions. For its price and quality, this is a convenient hole in the wall!

Chicken on the Run used to be my go-to spot. It is still good, I just feel like the quality has gone down recently. However it is very affordable!

Very tasty chicken and yucca! I always order the Chop Chop and its delicious. Less rice and more beans is usually what I get.

My wife and I share the 1/2 chicken beans and rice with fries weekly. Best buy in the area, extra sauce is a must.

Hard to figure out which is better – Chicken on the Run or Pollo a la Brasa. Both are great though!
