I had a great ice cream that was a chocolate base with truffle. Super slow staff whom were rude, hot and stuffy atmosphere. Couldnt read the flavors until I got to the front, and then had to order quickly. My boyfriend ordered a white chocolate raspberry ice cream, and they gave him a fig ice cream instead. He asked if this was the right one and they insisted it was. He has to throw it out. Very unpleasant expierence, although the chocolate truffle ice cream I got was very good. Not a family environment.

This place is really excellent. They have a bunch of ice creams that can best be described as experimental for the adventurous eater and a few more mundane things for the rest of us. Naturally everyone will prefer some flavors over others, but even if a particular flavor is simply not your thing, there is no doubt that its well made. I personally loved their sea salt caramel. Its a safe and oh so delicious choice for a picky eater.

Ice cream selection was an eclectic version of some traditional staples, but done in unique ways. The butterscotch miso was awesome and the chocolate was as if you were in a bakers kitchen and sampling the good stuff! Service was polite, but not quite personable. Napkins were available throughout, but the space needed some additional seating options. Most people must walk up, wait in line, and leave after receiving their order.

One of the best place to have ice cream if you are at bar harbor . They have some very unique and different flavors which is must try. I have tried ginger, banana and khulfi flavors which are very delicious. Ginger is must try and if you enjoy litter hard and bitter coffee flavor try Vietnamese coffee ice cream . This shop always has long queue at least at weekends so be prepare to wait . Must try ice cream parlor.

Crazy good! Sorbets and ice creams were both excellent. Huge, creative selection. Even the weird sounding flavors, like Orange Tarragon, were actually tasty and not at all soapy or perfume-y. Staff is friendly, fun and patient. Toppings generally were very good too. Hot fudge wasnt hot enough - a minor infraction not worth docking points for.

Great tasting, well crafted ice cream and sorbet with a variety of unique, refined flavors. Go for the sundae, I doubt youll be disappointed. I got the coriander strussel and salted caramel ice cream and was impressed. Topped with honey butterscotch drizzle, cherries, and butter crunch pieces elevated it to another level.

Has plenty of business, which is good, but also makes you feel rushed. This, combined with the fact that descriptions to the sometimes-mystifying names of flavors come only at the counter, makes ordering semi-stressful. Aside from that, the service is concise and the ice cream is good. Not much else you can ask for.

There were a wide range of flavors and I had to try at least 4 before I could decide. I got the blueberry sour cream crumble and the maple praline which were delicious but the portion size was kind of small for the price. I also thought the ice cream could have been a little less icy but it was good overall.

The place was nice. Fast service, friendly staff. Their soft serve ice-cream is made with almond milk. I said o.k. cause I thought it would be o.k. and the place seemed very popular. It was not ok. Not for me. Try it for yourself. Everyone is different. But, folks told me the hard serve is to die for!

You like ice cream? Youre in Bar Harbor? Stop reading this review and go get some of the best ice cream youve ever consumed. From the exotics like Butterscotch Miso (sweet and salty and addictive) to the summer favorite Peach, you cant go wrong. And youll probably be back more than once.

Heard great reviews about this place, but when we stopped in, they had relatively few flavors to choose from, which was disappointing. I settled for plain chocolate, which is very good, but would have been nice to try some of their signature flavors.

There were such interesting flavors here (try Blackstrap Banana!) that we had never seen anywhere else. The texture and taste were both fantastic. A little bit expensive but worth it. Highly recommended after a long day in Acadia!

Wide range of delicious flavors. We went twice and it was great both times. Be sure to taste test. They do have some wild flavors. Natural ingredients are used. Making for a better choice than the others ice cream shops around.

Unique flavors, top notch ice cream shop. I had buttercream (rootbeer, butter and caramel) and a scoop of salted caramel, so good! President Obama came here with his family, he apparently ordered the toasted coconut.

MDI ice cream is always a treat. They offer many creative and delicious flavors from the standard salty caramel to the Lebowski-inspired White Russian ice cream - The Dude. They usually offer 5-6 sorbets as well.
