Pretty place, Server Vincent was excellent. My sushi order took quite a bit longer than I would expect being there at 11:45am and based on the moderate crowd. Vincent kept up with me and I actually consumed two glasses of wine, waiting on my food order. I immediately noticed an unpleasant fishy odor when my plate was placed in front of me. I know I ordered raw fish, but as I eat sushi twice a week on average, I never have encountered this smell. The second roll contained blue crab, but had an excessive amount of shell in it. I honestly do find some shell in crab dishes pretty much everywhere, but never to this extent. I was able to eat about one third of the food. I just could not stomach it. I tipped my usual percentage, as I dont feel it was the servers fault. I did voice my concern, as well as giving my contact information on the back of their receipt, for him to give to management. That was January 16th, this is February 2nd and feel strong enough about this visit, to write this post. I would not recommend this place.

I really like Hello Sushi and this location is by far the best. I make a special order whenever I do get sushi from this location, and my sushi rolls do not come out correctly. Hello Sushi does have the best prices around, but the quality I have been getting is horrible. Last time I went a couple weeks ago I order 2 orders of California Rolls and most of the rolls had little to no cucumber in them. And most of the time I will order it special, and I can tell that they have forgotten at some point to take certain things out, so they just pull it out, and I can still taste it on my roll. Whenever they do make my sushi well it is very delicious and I do enjoy going there.

Ive been to Hello Sushi only a few times in the past couple of years. I used to think they were "okay" to "pretty good". Unfortunately, the last few times I went to the Highland location, Ive been disappointed. The hostesses seem not to care and are very unfriendly. Ive had one messed up to-go order and the sushi isnt great at all. I really like sushi and Hello Sushi is literally 5 minutes from my house, but I will never go there again. They need to get their act together!

I would rate Hello Sushi a five star on my first visit and a one star on my last. The quality of food and service had deteriorated significantly. The sushi and sashimi did not taste freshly made. It was not any better from the supermarket variety. The beef udon was so uninspired. I guess the cook (definitely not a chef) was just following a recipe from a cookbook, and not doing a good job.

Food was okay. Service was not. Server Jessi spent whole time hiding in the back. Only got her to refill my drink after flagging down the hostess to go find her. Couldnt prioritize quick tasks and long tasks. After telling me she was going to refill my drink she turned around and took the order of a full table.

We were seated with quick response at the sushi bar ..where we met tommy..who is an awesome sushi chef..he answered all of our questions and told me to try Johnny roll..loved it..posted pictures for you to see..will come again. .

Loved todays lunch at Hello Sushi Highland! Set point roll...outstanding balance between spice, salt and sweet. Yum! Surf and turf roll...yum as well! The entire meal was perfect. Im ready for an encore.

This is the best sushi in the immediate area. Their baked salmon appetizer is devine! Service is exquisite and prices are comparable. Great bang for the buck.

Good sushi selection, descent prices and service is usually good. Tip: Bring a jacket. They keep this place very cold.
