I wish I had had as positive of an experience as the other reviewers, alas... I did not. The service was slow and the food was very average. I used a 225 Best Eats deal ($15 for $30) and the waitress felt the need to explain it to me as if I was an imbecile "This takes $30 off and then you can use another method of payment for the rest but Ill go ahead and bring you the bill in a book". Well...duh, thanks, Ive been to many a restaurant and Im aware of how to pay a check. Also, our table ordered a mix of soups, appetizers, and salads for the table so that we could all try a little something from every dish. For some reason our waitress laughed and seemed very confused by our order... When the order did come out (which took a ridiculously long time) the food was bland and the topping of the French Onion soup was way over done which anyone looking at it could plainly see. Maybe my experience here was an aberration because the other reviewers seem to like it.

We found this place online and after taking a look at their menu, decided it was worth trying. This is definitely not the quality of restaurant youd expect to see in a strip mall anywhere. I began the meal with French Onion Soup, made with a really fantastic beef stock was absolutely delicious. Catherine had a beet salad that was beautifully prepared. For our entrees, I had Seared Jumbo Scallops served over a Chorizo risotto. The scallops were enormous, but cooked through with a delicious butter sauce and nice caramelization on the ends. The risotto was a tiny bit dry, but still delicious. Catherine had a shredded rabbit and spaetzle dish which had a really fantastic sauce. The rabbit was moist, and the spaetzle flavorful. This is easily one of the best restaurants weve encountered since we came to Louisiana, and we would gladly make the drive over from Lafayette to eat here again.

Beau Soleil is a charming, upscale Louisiana Bistro, located in the Bocage Village Shopping Center, that serves authentic French dishes with a Southern flare. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the Executive Chef is from Mississippi. Judith and I went there for lunch last Saturday and ordered off their brunch menu that is available borh Saturday and Sunday with Mimosas and Bloody Marys for $5.50. Judith ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict and I had the Crabmeat Benedict, a variation that I had never seen before. I started my meal with their traditional French Onion Soup which was the best Ive ever had! For dessert, Judith had the chocolate Pot de Crème, which was heavenly, and I had their homemade Dobos Torte. Restaurants in Baton Rouge have come a long way since Hurricane Katrina, and Beau Soleil is no exception. Bravo! We definitely will be back again...

My husband and I ate here tonight for our second wedding anniversary. We started with the Boudin Balls, which were the best weve had at any Baton Rouge restaurant. I had the seared salmon entree with a side of mushroom risotto (both heavenly) and my husband had the short ribs with a side of the mashed potatoes dujour (also quite delicious). We werent expecting anything special because of our anniversary, but were pleased to find out that they offered us a free dessert of our choice. We chose the white chocolate bread pudding, which was a wonderful ending to our meal. The service was prompt and our waitress was very helpful at explaining menu items and answering our questions. Very clean and an overall good atmosphere. Highly recommended and well be going back for our next special occasion!

Traveling back from New Orleans we had a GREAT Brunch here. Live music, good crowd, and they are one of the few places that you can make reservations using the "Open Table" app; this was a great convenience for us during our trip and travels. David was our waiter and he was superb. He paid constant detail to all things we ordered. Everyone loved the gumbo, poached eggs, crab cakes, tea, coffee, and everything else we ordered. I was honestly surprised to find such a nice quaint place while traveling to the area that had great food, great service, and the ability to use an app for extra convenience. Definitely a good stop and always good to make a reservation since it stayed busy.

Fantastic place for Brunch! We didnt make a reservation so we had a 15min wait which was no problem. Felt more like a 3 min wait really. Our server Jonathan was nice very informative about the daily specials and had lots of energy. Our food came out on time and hot even on a busy sunday morning. Our food was very good. The scallop app special was great and our entrees could not have been better. Try the BBLT you will enjoy it! Thanks so much Jonathan, and everyone at Beausoleil!

By far an exceptional restaurant! One complaint, they were out of most of their specials as well as their Quail dish... However, the owner was very apologetic and did all he could to make us happy. We will definitely return as EVERYTHING else we ate was incredible. We paired the meal with a bottle of PlumpJack Merlot- which is hard to find... They had it- and at a reasonable price to!

“Ideal for Business Entertaining” We spent a wonderful evening entertaining out of town business colleagues and Mansurs provided the perfect setting. They seated us in the Cypress room, which allowed for privacy. Our server was well-versed on the menu and made several good suggestions to those who were unfamiliar. The cream of Brie & crabmeat soup was a great start followed......

I really enjoyed this unexpected gastropub in a strip mall. Nice interior design and a well-designed menu. I tried the beets starter, which was an interesting and very tasty reconstruction of the classic beets with goat cheese. And the duck was perfectly cooked and delicious. Worth the visit. Almost forgot the addictive pork rinds that appeared on the table to start...

We found Beausoleil when my brother came to Baton Rouge for a quick visit. We wanted to treat him to a Great Sunday brunch. Well we sure did! Everything was delicious and there was live music to boot. We work as Realtors on Sundays so we dont get a chance to do Sunday Brunch often. I cant wait to go back it was just lovely.

The food was absolutely amazing. We went for brunch and then selection was great and at a reasonable price. The only negative was our waitress who seemed to forget about us. I would go back, but hopefully the service improves.

Fantastic! Delicious, creative food. Passionate about what they do here. Fine dining without the pretentiousness. We visit B.R. several times a year and this one is now on the list of must do when we are in town.

This place is on my top five list in Baton Rouge. I love the atmosphere and the food is wonderful. Try the Pan Seared Black Drum, it is out of this world.
