The good: Food is way better than an average sports bar. Waitresses are always nice, fun and willing to help.- While they might not know much about beer, you can still select you beer on beerMenus App!! Great right? Prices are very reasonable. Free reliable wifi. The British Double Decker Bus. The bad: Not the best atmosphere for a sports bar, feels more like a family restaurant. Maybe they should put the volume up. They dont have beIN sports full subscription, they only have beIN english and espanol, so If your game is broadcasting on beIN 4, you better bring your own device. The beer selection is average. Not any porters on tap. Conclusion: I think this place has the potential to be a hard 4.5 but need some improvement on channels and beers. I mean, come on, how can you call yourself a soccer bar, have a British Bus by the entrance(which is pretty cool) and not have a decent variety of porter and stout beer on tap and not have all the possibly invented soccer channels. I recommend gnarly barley porter, abita turbo dog, chafunkta old 504. Still, this is the only soccer bar in town and all the effort is appreciated. I will come back! And, If they have more beers and channels I will update my review and give you 5 stars.

I used to love this place for the shepherds pie, steak and mashed potatoes, comfy couch, and the games like shuffleboard upstairs, not to mention trivia Sundays (which Ill still attend because Dan Day is the man at trivia!). But the other nights service was quite awful... it was slow, and I ordered the shepherds pie like I do almost every time I go... it came out with very little mashed potatoes on top, and what did exist looked old and crusty... the ground meat inside was soupy... I hate being that person to send stuff back, but this time I spoke up, and the server (who had by this time already mentioned several times being done and wanting to go home - not professional) talked to a manager (I assume?) who came over, and basically defended the dish and did NOT even offer another entree... just a dessert or appetizer. Really? Youre going to defend what was obviously a disgustingly cooked shepherds pie? No... no excuse... and he was not apologetic at all. Never ordering that again...

Went in for brunch today, it was my first time in. Id have to say it has a pretty cool atmosphere, definitely a pub feel to it. Id never had any type of English-based food before so I asked the waiter, Drew for a few suggestions. He was more than helpful on offering his favorites and some popular dishes. It seems like this place while holding to the traditional English pub food also has some self-awareness in knowing their audience as far as south Louisiana food, as a lot of their dishes come with a Cajun option, etc. I went for as much of an authentic English dish as I could find in the banger omelet with hash. The wife got two poached eggs over easy with bangers and hash. Both dishes were very good and the service was excellent even though they were getting busier as 11 am had hit and alcohol was being served, which increased business. Overall Id give it 5 stars and I will definitely be back for a lunch dish in a few weeks.

Had dinner with my fiancé here tonight, we both loved the food. I had a burger and she had some chicken pasta dish, both were reasonably priced. The only thing was once we placed our order, we never saw our server again. The food was brought out by somebody else which is reasonable. She only came out a couple times to talk to what seemed like her friends at another table and went back before I could flag her down. My fiance left after 20 minutes of waiting for the check. I waited another hour before I flagged down another employee passing by for our check and he brought it out to us made a short apology and ran back away. Overall, good food, but terrible service

We have been going to Londoner since they opened. First time it was decent. Then it got bad and bad and today was the worst. OMG after waiting an hour !!!!!! for the food, I had the worst Eggs Benedict. Of course you will say, who orders Eggs Benedict in a chip shop, well, why the hell it is on the Lunching Menu then???? Fish and Chips my cousin ordered, grease was dripping from the fish, batter was so thick you fell like eating batter with fish flavor. Guys you better get you a new chef or you are going to win "The worst restaurant in Baton Rouge" award very soon.

Great fish and chips! Definitely the closest youll get to England in BR. Nice selection of beers on tap and awesome food all around. Service has been wonderful 90% of the time, but there has been a few trips it was mediocre-never terrible though like some reviews have said. Atmosphere is very laid back with low lighting and quite a few TVs. Id definitely recommended it to anyone. Try to catch a beer or whiskey tasting-cant beat the prices for what ya get!

Have your next hangover here. Just finishing up brunch. A wait service whose attendants and managers were at the table on every expected occasion and sincere and polite. Grub is great! I had he Cajun omelette and my better half rediscovered her affection for shepherds pie (do not confuse with breakfast shepherd, different item). $3 bloody Marys are $3 bloody Marys. Enthusiastic recommendation.

Had dinner there, I got the endless fish and chips as suggested by the waitress. When I asked for a refill I was told they had stopped two weeks ago by one of the managers who then made a snide comment. Ive worked in restaurants for the better part of a decade it was disrespectful and I was disappointed and plus it was not the best service. Fish was ok, a little greasy. Tomato soup was good.

Great service, food and atmosphere. Every time I come to the Londoner, they have amazing service. Theyll let you change the tv channels, refill often, and be pleasant. Their food is good too. I recommend the Toffee Pudding, it is decadent and delicious. I definitely recommend the Londoner for English cuisine, football (soccer) games, drinks, or just great service and a good time.

Horrible place to go. Servers are rude and the management are never around. The one manager that is supposed to be around in the mornings is horrible and is never there. I have been twice and she was not there when asked for and could not come to our table for the entire hour that we were there and our food came out wrong. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Ive been here years before and it was great. But this time it was awful. Our food tasted like nothing and our server was awful as well. She lied about up charges and when we told her we didnt like our food she just said ok. We only learned her name was Savannah from her greeting Another table because she never told it to us.

They have Boddingtons so big plus. Some of the food is like English pub food like their steak and ale pie. Some is not and their chips ie French fries suck. They need to work on their curry as well. Good try. Way better than the Fox and Hounds
