Visited more than a dozen times, but have never had a good experience at this location. Past issues include: Food being served barely warm ordering crawfish which were served cold (which we were not told when we placed the order...Who serves cold crawfish at a restaurant anyway?), and although this is a restaurant with servers, you still have to pay up front and wait in line (once you find the cashier who is also the hostess). The location in North Baton Rouge has better service, better management, and much better food!

The menu described their muffuletta as traditional but there was nothing traditional about it. First and worst, they served it with lettuce, tomato and mayo. I grabbed a menu after it arrived and reread the description and looked for any fine print that might have mentioned it, but it wasnt listed. It was also served on the same bread as their other sandwiches, again not traditional at all. When I finally got to taste it... hardly any olive salad and the meat was too salty. Just take this off the menu guys.

Me&my sister just left franks, it was just AWFUL, I ORDERED THE SHRIMP POBOY IT HAD 8 SHRIMP ON IT ,IT WAS UN EDIBLE MY SISTER ORDERED the frIed greed n tomatoes it had an awful sauce that tasted like DIRT!!!!!!!!!!!! Franks makes excellent omelettes with a wide variety of options for stuffing such as alligator sausage, Tennessee pan sausage as well as traditional options like a Western, etc. They are know for their biscuits which are usually good. Sometimes the tops are a little hard. The BBQ lunch platters are very good and come with a lot of food on the plate.

Only eat breakfast there and it is the best breakfast in Baton Rouge metro area. I always get one of the Cajun themed omelets which are incredible. There grits are also extremely good. If I have minor complaint, it is that the biscuits are not quite as good as other parts of the country but as good as it gets in this area.

Brisket was super dry. Like it was cooked, frozen and then microwaved. The beans and corn looked so bad, I did not even attempt to taste it. The portion size of the brisket was like 4 little strips for 14.95. Will never return there again. Drove to Baton Rouge just to eat there. Complete waste of time.

Ordered take out. First time choosing this place. Im in love with them now. Order was ready when they said it would be. Staff was friendly. Ordered the brisket sandwich and corn, crab, shrimp bisque. Ill have to go through a twelve step program to get off their food!!!

Cant wait for my wedding at Franks. The staff and management have been with us making sure we, or I should say, my fiance gets what she wants for our special day. The food is amazing and unique in its own way. I recommend Franks for dining and formal functions.

Very good service, friendly. Theres usually a small wait, but to keep you occupied there is a mini store at the front of the restaurant. I usually go for breakfast when I spend a weekend at my dads. My fav breakfast item there is the chocolate chip pancakes!

Was at the restaurant today for lunch August 4, 2014. Found human hair in two out of four dishes. Was thoroughly disgusted. To top it off the manager accused me of placing my own hair in the dishes. Will NEVER go back there again.

Tried for the 1st time yesterday for breakfast at lunch (all day breakfast). Had the crawfish and shrimp omelet with hashbrowns and ate every bite, and left completely full! Very friendly and helpful service with a great atmosphere!
