We were one of two tables in the restaurant on Mothers Day. The service was terrible and the food took forever to arrive to our table. When we got our meals, they were cold on the outside and warm on the inside, which means that our plates were sitting for quite some time before they brought them to us. When they saw how annoyed we were, they made a fake attempt to change their attitudes towards us in hopes of salvaging a tip. Oh yeah, the tempura batter on the chicken was greasy and not crispy. It was so bad, I had to go to McDonalds to wash the taste out of my mouth (which is gross). Keep in mind we were one of two tables in the restaurant. This was what might have been our last Mothers Day with my grandmother and she had to suffer through this nastiness.

Definitely worth trying and, in my opinion, worth going back many more times. This is one of those places you might accidentally overlook while driving down Shelbyville Road. Its a smaller restaurant, but the food is great. The regular menu has a lot of the stuff youd get from any place that serves westernized Chinese food like General Tsos and crab rangoons, but they also have a second menu with some really great offerings like salt and pepper squid, tea-smoked duckling, and curry chicken skewers. So if you feel like trying something new, but the rest of the people in your party are not, theres a good mix of safe and adventurous offerings here, and just about everything Ive gotten from the second menu Ive enjoyed tremendously.

We ordered the generals chicken, Mongolian beef and fried dumplings. Total was $35 with a tip. The dumplings were the greasiest we have ever had. Bourbon chicken had fat throughout. As if it has not been trimmed, and was SWIMMING in sauce. The Mongolian beef was average at best. Not much beef, too many whole peppers. For the money, I feel the quality was really lacking. I read other Google reviews prior to making the trip over to order carryout and was swayed by the comparison to August Moon. I strongly disagree with that comparison. Nice people but we will not return.

The owner/staff are soooo rude. "What you want" they asked me when I was ordering. Located in a run down strip mall, very sketchy interior. Was willing to over look, but when I asked to exchange spoiled sweet tea for soda I was told "once you drink all the tea we switch for coke". Inexcusable I cant not believe this place has received such high ratings. Very hard not to believe they are all fake reviews. We left without ordering after paying for drinks(which they demanded we do) minus the 7 spoiled teas we were served.

Their new location is just not on par with other restaurants. They are totally oblivious to any food allergies and just do not care about any issues they cause. I would not recommend this place as the food is mediocre and they put shrimp in all dishes even if you specifically state that you are allergic. They just do not care. Oh and forget about a refund.....

This is one of our favorite places to go due to combination of staff, food, experience, and price. The staff is always friendly and seem they appreciate your business so make you feel welcome. Ive always enjoyed the food and quality. The atmosphere is inviting, cozy, and you never feel rushed. And the price is always fair for what you get.

Really bad experience, almost like a nightmare. I go with my coworker and he is a vegan. He orders veg dumplings but is served with pork dumplings which totally insults/abuses his religion. Waitress has trouble to understand English, always make mistakes all the time. Also the restroom is dirty, very bad smell. make me sick

Theres no Bourbon Chicken in Louisville thats better than theirs. The chicken has a light, crispy quality to it and its swimming in their deliciously sweet n slightly spicy bourbon sauce which is all sitting on a bed of lettuce. Served with a side of white rice, you cant ask for a better dish, if thats what youre craving.

Legit authentic Chinese food served here as well as the staples of American Chinese menus. You can get item off menu dishes if you ask. We enjoyed a "hot pot" which had to be reserved in advance, but was excellent. Staff is friendly and more than welcome to explain their food and expose you to something new.

Peking City Bistro is the best Chinese restaurant in Kentucky. The food is amazing! The plating is very artistic . The service is always outstanding! Their Hot and Sour soup should be marketed! Prices for the food quality are very acceptable!

Chinese Chinese menu. We got the SanBeiJi which was delish ("3 cup" chicken cooked in a claypot). and the Bao zi was very yummy too. however, service was sloww. the food understandably takes longer, but not 1.5 hrs longer for lunch..

Friendly wait staff, generously sized portions and good food. Definitely recommend for lunch. The lunch menu is a great deal for around $7. Comes with soup, spring roll, rice, and an entre large enough that I had leftovers.

Not a fan. We ordered sweet & sour chicken, it was so overcooked it was almost jerky like. The Hunan Beef was fair, the pan fried dumplings were soggy and not good. The hot & sour soup was just ok.

Dishes taste good. The environment is better than others with beautiful desk clothing and the waiter is nice. Duck cooked with beer is nice and seems like cooked by my Mum .snow pea leaf is fresh.

The service was very conscientious, the atmosphere pleasant, the food tasted healthy. They also had baby starfish on display in a fish tank and their cuteness can not be understated.

Great prices. Decent food. Service is usually good, but occasionally the servers seem unaware of their tables or their need to deliver a check etc. Good for a cheap date.

This is Jon Fishs favorite Chinese Restaraunt since Asian Moon. The local restaraunt critic hails it as a superb authentic Chinese food option for the area. A must try!

Anyone who rates this place a 1 star due to allergy issues is a dumb ass!! This place is great and deserves a try by all..
