I would give this place another star because the food was actually pretty good. The service, however, was bad. After being seated, my wife and I ordered drinks, which took about 10 minutes to arrive. After getting our drinks, we ahd to wait for the server to return, another ten minutes. After ordering our food it took probably 40 minutes for two simple pasta dishes ofr my children, a bowl of mussels for myself, and soup and salad for my wife. By this time, my wife got a bit heated toward our waiter, who never returned because he was "afraid" according to someone who came over and who may or may not have been a manager. All we kept getting were excuses that they were "slammed" or busy, but when we got there the restaurant was just starting to clear out, so I dont know what they were talking about. For a while we were one of only two or three tables with diners. I realize this may have been an anomoly, but still, it was unprofessional service and ruined what could have been a pretty good dinner.

TERRIBLE!!! They sat our table of 12 , 20 minutes later we got drinks. They took our order, then 30 minutes later they came out and told us they ran out of pizza crusts!!! Saturday night and no pizza? So we ordered lasagna. ..."you guessed it , the mgr comes out and says they only have one piece left . What else would you like? We walked. THEN to add insult to injury, they doubled the tip we left on the credit card. So illegal, Dont Eat Here!!!!

Amicis has always been an incredible experience for me. The first time I came it was my anniversary, the second and third has been for my birthday. I had such an incredible time and enjoyed amazing food and service. Our waitress was very pleasant, AND I got a half priced wine bottle on my birthday (luckily it fell on a Tuesday!) Thanks for being such a cute and enjoyable stop, Amicis! The birthday cannoli made me smile~

They were very friendly, the atmosphere was very relaxed and our waitress was great. We had an expired Try It Local voucher that they honored anyways. The food was delicious and they mixed up their own sangria that was the best sangria Ive ever had. I dont normally go to places where the entrees are in the $15 range but I felt that this was worth it.

Great neighborhood place. Good food but a little pricey for a neighborhood place. Patio dining is really nice when the weather is good. Some dishes are mostly Italian and some are a variation on the Italian theme. Not the place to go if you want traditional Italian.

Great atmosphere, service, and value! They hit a home run, went there with my boyfriend and best friend and we all ate for $20 total! The chicken pesto pizza is to die for, definitely stoping there on our next trip thru Louisville!

Amazing food, amazing staff. Its laid back but private enough that it makes for a romantic meal. And they have trivia questions in the middle of the table if your date is being awkward. Seriously, great spot for a nice date.

Ive been here a few times for Lunch and dinner, and both were perfectly prepared. The dinner portions are large and worth the price. If its Tuesday you should go because its half price bottle of wine night!

Great atmosphere friendly staff but meatballs were crunchy/burnt...toppings fell off pizza..and some of the vegetable combinations on the menu were limiting. Wouldve like to try something else.
