One of my favorite local asian food restaurants in northern Kentucky, tucked away in Fort Thomas. Ive tried over half the menu, and everything Ive had has exceeded my expectations. Taste, presentation, and prices are fantastic. I think their sushi is good based on the size of the restaurant and prepared well. I tried to make a list of things I would recommend, and it turned out way too long; everything really tastes great. They make a food pad Thai. Service is excellent; dine-in meals are typically served within 10 minutes, and carryout orders only take about 15-20 minutes. Often the restaurant will throw in freebies on large carryout orders such as 2-liters of soda or soup if you order a lot, which is much appreciated. I like how all meals are served not only with fortune cookies, but also sliced oranges - a nice touch. Decor is nice, and there are a few TVs. I have never been disappointed with a trip to New Garden. Locally owned and highly recommended!

The good: The portion size for the price and the speed of the service. The bad: The food is not particularly tasty, which is puzzling considering that they seem to be starting with good, fresh ingredients. Its just that theyre timid with applying flavoring. From the Hot and Sour Soup to the Mongolian Beef to the Kung Pao Chicken, everything tasted watered down in terms of flavor. We brought home the leftovers (which were ample because of the large portions) and my wife improved their taste simply by using Chinese flavor packets from the local Kroger. Its a shame when pre-packaged flavoring is more intense and interesting than what the local Chinese restaurant is capable of producing. So if you want a lot of relatively flavorless, but inoffensive, food for cheap, check this place out. If you have an urge for tasty Chinese food, go elsewhere.

Are you a restaurant? Yes. Have you survived in Fort Thomas more than 6 months? Yes. Congratulations. Youve reached a level of success that so many others have tried to obtain and yet failed so miserably. Beyond their level of staying power, I have always been happy with the food and the value. You get a hefty portion, and it always feels a step above other Chinese chains in terms of freshness. You can also dine in and make it a nice little date. Take a stroll around Tower park after to walk off some of the food. But overall, Im really glad this joint is in our community. Makes a last minute meal option simple and quick, and it hits the spot.

I hardly ever leave a poor rating. But the reviews over New Gardens have me baffled. I have lived on both coasts and grew up eating Chinese food. My family and I have only eaten here once and it was takeout. I ordered three different dishes and was severely underwhelmed. The sauces were bland and there seemed to be an overabundance of celery in all the dishes. The food was so bad that we didnt even keep the leftovers. Also, overpriced for less than mediocre food. Im sorry to leave such a negative review, but maybe I can spare others a very disappointing culinary experience.

Typical American chinese and there is nothing wromg with that :) service both for carryout and dining is very fast and polite. Make sure you ask for the price difference on dinners vs combination meals though. The price difference can be pretty steep. They servings come with plenty of food either way. The location is great for dinner with friends as there is a few local bars near by. Its also right across from tower park which makes it a great cheap date place as there are always events in the park, plus the park is beautiful and is in the historical district of Fort Thomas

One of the best Chinese places youll ever go to! Fresh Hot food every time, and so worth the price! A full plate of food is less than $5 during lunch time, and there is no way you can finish it all! One of my favorite places to eat at, even though I live in Cincinnati about 25 minutes away! Very clean and comfortable, also very friendly and polite staff! Best part is the orange you get at the end of your meal!

I have been to this restaurant many times. I usually get the vegetable Pad Thai. It is a great balance of spicy and sweet and the noodles are delicious. The Lo Mein noodles are also very good as well. The portions are great for the price. In addition, all of the workers are very attentive and friendly.
