After enjoying Tavern Pizza since the late 60s, I have purchased my last Tavern Pizza. I have noticed a general decline in quality for about the last year, but last night took the cake. I purchased a large sausage and a large works pizza. The pizzas were woefully short on cheese, had an excess of tomato sauce, and were thoroughly over cooked. This along with the somewhat expensive pricing has finally driven me away as a customer No longer is Tavern Pizza a family favorite!

We went out to eat in celebration of my fiances pregnancy. Although their food was good, their service was awful. Out waiter spilt pasta sauce all over my mother in laws white shirt, and my fiances new shoes. The manager was rude and Only apologized to me, she didnt even come to out table, I had to go seek her out. They offered to pay for cleaning of the shoes and shirt but that was all. Wont be taking my family here again anytime soon.

New waiter was very good, prompt response and service from this young man (I think his name was Chas or Chase...) He knew the whole menu and gave some suggestions, I ordered what he said he had tried from the menu, and yes it was good, onion rings could use a little more seasoning/salt, yet they are good. Fast enough for a business lunch. I think Ill bring my family one evening all the food looks great!

Worst experience ever. The waitress came to our table 5+ times asking if we were ready to order within an 8 minute period. We asked for a spoon for gelato and told by this same waitress that they dont have any besides the sample spoons. Another waitress brought us one. We found a hair in our food. The waitress basically blamed us. Pizza was less than desirable. Will never come back.

The food here speaks for itself, and for the most part, its fantastic. The service can be spotty depending on the time of day, and honestly, the individual server. Try a late lunch or dinner when the place isnt crowded and you wont be disappointed. While youre at it, youll want to get a bottle of their homemade house dressing to go. Just order it with your meal and thank me later.

Overpriced pizza that doesnt taste very good. Poor quality ingredients and pizza was undercooked. Service was bad as well. Tried to talk with the manager about our bad pizza and experience and she didnt want to hear it. Not a chance that Ill come back. Not sure how a place thats run this poorly and serves bad food can keep its doors open.

Absolute worse service from waitress & manager. Had to ask for silverware from the bartender who was insulted. Manager could not describe 2 menu items. The italian beef sandwich is very little meat on an oversized bun and is prepared as a philly sand. Definitely was not an italuan beef. Very sad dinner

Always love the food, but today service very bad. Over 20 minutes with nary a visit and no drinks. Server was a 1 thing at a time server, not good during lunch period. After making eye contact and walking away to place an order for 4 people right next to us, we left. Hope this is not a trend

Outstanding local pizza. Its thin crust, but its a soft thin crust rather than a crispy one. Price is a little high compared to other local/chain locations, so I do not get here too often. Every time Ive had their food Ive enjoyed it immensely. Their garlic cheese bread is also really good.

Horrible. Waitress had no clue what she was doing. She had to come back twice to ask what we ordered. Never came back until she delivered food. I ordered an oven roasted turkey and cheese sandwich but I got a ham sandwich with no cheese. My fries were old af and cold. Not going back.

Generally pretty good to great service it is a very loud place when it is crowded and the food that we have ordered there is delicious the fried ravioli is fantastic their thin crust pizza is great and there homemade thin cut onion rings are to die for

Disappointing food. Below average pizza and garlic cheese bread. Not worth the price. Better off getting papa johns or caseys. Outdated and worn down decor. The only notable thing about this place is cheap beers.

Worst pizza I have ever eaten. Tavern 2 is ok but this was horrible. Stale crust, no sauce, and damn near burnt. Will never go there again. Not to mention it was 30 bucks for the worst pizza I have ever had.

Ive had lunch there 3 weeks in a row. The service has been extremely good. The food as good as the service. Prices are a little high and there are NO discounts. All in all a good lunch experience.

Pop always tastes weird here. House creamy parmesan dressing is great! Lunch pasta is awesome for the price, but the lunch pizzas for the same price are tiny and leave you hungry for more.

Not fast food, but delicious and homemade. Pizza crust is cracker crisp - love it! My husband relishes the guinea grinders and gets one even if he has to sneak away to pick one up.
