My wife and I frequent this location when we are craving some great Mexican food. We went in and got seated immediately. They took our drink order and within seconds we had our drinks and chips and salsa. We ordered our cheese sauce and lunch. After munching down on some cheese sauce and salsa. The order was out to us within minutes even though they were very busy. I had the burrito Verde and my wife had the burrito Loco. They both came out blazing hot and smelling wonderful. As usual our lunch was great the burrito Verde was very good and just what I was craving. My wife said her burrito was perfect. I just need to learn to leave the chips and cheese alone so I have room for my whole burrito. I love this location and will be back very soon for the quick and friendly service and the excellent food

Worst restaurant experience in months! The servers never smile, ask questions, or refill anything without being flagged down. The food(fajitas for 2)was brought out in portions, 5 minutes apart, so it was cold, and unable to be eaten as prepared. Once the food did arrive, it was mono color, bland, and lacked flavor. Seriously no hints of cumin, chili, garlic, or any classic Mexican flavors. Totally bland. The seats were not wiped down prior to seating, and the table had 2 dissimilar pieces that looked hastily put together from home- very unusual and poorly built. Iowa Mexican food restaurants in general are a joke, but this place is especially bad. I saw a lot of people there the night I went, but no one was smiling- never a good sign. Do not go here. Not worth your time.

Great Mexican food and excellent service! Ive been coming here for years. Ive been there several times with large groups but also dined in as a couple. Though often I just pick up supper To Go and Ive not had a bad experience. Im a big fan of their queso. They have the white queso favored by many local Mexican restaurants, but I find theirs to be particularly tasty and flavorful. I also love their cheese enchiladas and guacamole tostadas. Always a good meal.

I visit Monterrey frequently and its always delicious! The queso is always good to start with. Its a white queso with nice flavor. The Chicken Fajitas are my go-to here. There is always a nice portion of chicken and good flavor. Sometimes it could use a few more minutes on the grill to cook the onions and peppers a little more, but still delicious! If you prefer corn tortillas, just ask for them. Monterrey is definitely worth the trip!

Found trash covered in cheese in Nachos after first bite. I liked the place but still did not want to eat there tonight as guest were grossed out. Manager asked we pay for chips/salsa we had prior to meal arriving. Lol, the $2.36 they wanted just upset everyone enough to go buy trash bags from neighboring Dollar Tree, so the restaurant would have new dining plates.

I am not vegetarian, but still like a vegetarian option occasionally. Theyve got em. The mushroom and vegetable quesadillas were wonderful. Nice atmosphere, very clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Ive eaten there several times in the past and have always come away pleased.

Seems like they stopped trying. The host sat us while talking on the phone, didnt look at us, grabbed menus and pointed at table and walked away. Chips stale, salsa was red water, just gross. I give two stars because our waitress was very kind and attentive.

After paying for our food I looked at our account and we were charged 3 extra dollars for our food. We went back in to show them and they wouldnt give us our money back. We had already left a cash tip. Horrible service and our food was not very good.
