Stopped in for lunch this afternoon. The restaurant was empty except for two other couples. The server was sitting at the bar eating, no greeting or anything. The manager greeted us from behind the bar and told us to sit wherever wed like. We procededed to walk around looking for a clean table. Over half the tables were filthy. We then sat there and waited to be greeted. No one brought us menus or got our drink order. Finally the girl eating came and gave us salsa and chips, still no menus or drinks. Another server came out of the bathroom after 10 minutes, and asked if our entree had been ordered. The eating girl came and gave us our menus at that time and made a snotty comment about having not greeted us yet. We ordered waters. Five minutes later server is no where to be seen and no waters. We tried the salsa and it tasted like straight marinara. At that point we were done and decided to get lunch somewhere else. All in all easily the worst service and dining experience Ive ever had and DO NOT recommend ever going to this Cactus.

When we arrived a lot of the tables were dirty and still had to be cleaned so were sat at the booth closest to the door. Which still had food on it so the waitress wiped it down and sat us down there. The food was ok. We ordered two chicken chimichangas. It was weird cause the meat was over seasoned or something cause it almost looked like shredded beef with chicken. It was ok. The service was the worse experience. Only came over for ordering and bringing over the food. A manager or owner had to pickup our check. The waiter would go off to other tables and talk to "friends" for a long amount of time. Our food sat at the counter for about 7-8 minutes while she was over talking to her friends. Only reason she came back cause the cook was ringing the bell loudly. Refilled us with the wrong drinks and she never came back for us to ask for the right things. The margaritas were very very weak.

I liked it. When you walk in they bring you salsa and chips free of charge. I love restaurants that do that. Its a very hospitable thing to do. I had fish tacos. They were excellent. They come with a hot plate of refried beans and Spanish rice. They were really good. The taco shells felt freshly made but I wouldnt know if it werent. I ordered fried ice cream for desert. The ice cream was ok. It was topped with a chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The whipped cream was definitely a redi whip. Thats a thumbs down for me. The chocolate sauce felt like the cheap fudge topping you buy from the store. It is full of those fake sugars and I am sensitive to them. Even though the overall experience of the desert is positive, I will need to be visiting the bathroom soon because of the fake sugar.

Good place to grab a quick bite with a friend or the kids but you never know how well the service is going to be. If they have more than 5 groups eating there it feels like there is 100+ people in there. The staff is personable & nice but can be very forgetful & flighty. If they have more than 3-4 tables you will get lost in the weeds so you better ask for extra chips & salsa & drinks when you have the chance! Prices are competitive & quality of food is good.

Consider myself a regular and love the food! Great fajitas and best shrimp taco salad around. The mild salsa isnt my favorite, but the hot salsa is AMAZING! I could seriously drink the stuff. Service is sometimes slacking, but the staff is very personable and are always very nice. There have been a couple times where weve had to wait a while for service or to have our order taken, but food comes out fast and yummy and staff is very accommodating!
