Horrendous service! Ive been there 3 times now and on each time before the place seemed disorganized which caused a lot of delays being seated and served in a timely manner. This last time though my girl and I are maybe 1 of 3 groups seated at first. Our server takes our drink order and doesnt come back with chips and salsa until after the margaritas are blended (5-6) mins. Then brings us the drinks and leaves for maybe another 10 mins. Then finally comes take our order to which we put in being again one of 3 groups in this place. 5 more groups come in, get seated, have their drinks and food ordered and received their food before our food came out. Maybe another 20 mins goes by before server checks on us which prompts me to just ask for a bill. She takes another 5 mins to get a bill to me and doesnt say whether or not she is taking it or to pay up front (which it has changed the other 2 times I was there so wasnt sure which to do). We decide to wait it out another 10 mins before just getting up and paying at the bar. At the bar I asked the bartender if it is the standard to pay here or at the table and he says it just depends on your server. Wow. So Im curious if the servers expect mind reading out of the customers cuz I left my crystal ball at home. The worst part of this review is that their food is amazing. The street tacos are something that Im definitely going to miss because it just isnt worth the poor service. Get you stuff together!

I recommend this restaurant to anyone! I just moved from Wisconsin. This restaurant is the best! The food is authentic, fresh, and flavorful. The ceviche is prepared perfectly. The cactus is amazing. The guacamole is tasty. I could go on and on. The wait staff is friendly and they really work hard to make sure you have a wonderful experience. Their drinks are so generous that the locals told me that other restaurants cant compete. The menu isnt so big that you cant make a choice. They have narrowed it down to some wonderfully prepared dishes. I think Food Network chefs would appreciate this menu for quality, variety, and amount of items. I have tried a few other restaurants in the area and Adelitas has the all around wonderful dining experience that will keep us coming back. See you all there!

Most Mexican restaurants don’t offer healthy alternatives; Adelita’s ceviche is absolutely delicious! Lots of shrimp with tasty tomato, crisp cucumber, fresh avocado, and a light citrusy sauce. So much healthy food for the price. I always take some home. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love Adelita’s traditional Mexican dishes, too. Try the Poncho Via wrap with crispy potato wedges for brunch on the weekend, one wrap is enough for two people! The Tacos Pastor was a new taste treat for me, but order early as this is soooo good they sometimes run out. If you like heat (and I do) ask for the amazing “hot” salsa to take your chips/food up a notch. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, fair prices, and plenty of food.

I ate at this restaurant while in Cedar Rapids for work, despite the so so reviews. I had beef and chicken fajitas. I am not one to complain but they have THE WORST QUESO EVER!! Its runny and watered down, even when its cold its still just as runny. Im pretty sure mine was spoiled, it smelled sour and had small white chunks in it. The waitress disagreed. Also my tortillas looked like something had been spilled on them!!! The flavor of the fajitas was good, but I couldnt shake the fact that I had ate spoiled QUESO. So if I get sick I guess I will know why!

The food we ordered was either delivered incorrectly ie. there was no shrimp, pineapple, or mushrooms in the fajitas vallarta (there is supposed to be according to the menu) or the meal we ordered was gross such as a fajita salad looking and tasting more like a bean soup. It was greasy, soggy, and did not taste pleasant. The waiter was a gem and felt really bad- they tried to correct it by not charging us for those meals but we should NEVER leave a restaurant still hungry therefore I give this restaurant a 1 star.

My fiancé and I have been going to Adelitas at least 2 times each month for the past 3 years. Recently, things have changed. Prices have gone up, food quality has diminished, and the service has taken a turn for the worse. We decided to give it one more chance tonight, and easily decided that we will not be going back. Everything (drinks and food) we ordered, had to be sent back because either it was incorrect, cold, or completely the wrong item. Adelitas is not what it used to be.

I found this place online and the reviews seemed encouraging. I sat at the bar and was served quickly. The atmosphere was friendly and everyone seemed to be getting along. The staff worked together well as they attended not just to my needs but all the customers. My food came out quickly, both the appetizer & entre. It was delicious but they could’ve spared a bit more rice & beans. The price was good and I enjoyed the experience overall. I would recommend and return.

I went there for lunch and ordered the lunch chicken & cactus fajita. Normally I never order chicken fajitas as I find steak fajitas to be typically much more flavorful. The addition of cactus piqued my curiosity and Im so glad I tried it. Absolutely the best chicken fajitas Ive ever had and the lunch portion was very generous. The chips and salsa were also very good. While the service was friendly, they could have been a little more attentive.

I didnt like the particular order I got but the chips and salsa were great. My Fiancé liked his food but didnt think it was worth it. I think the place smelled like feet, but my fiancé got used to it and tried to enjoy the food. Service was great, they were very nice people. Maybe it was just a bad day. Probably going to try the place again sometime and give it another chance.

Our chips were stale, the food came out quickly and was barely room temperature, we both had different colored beans. Never got new chips management was extremely unprofessional . We took one bite a piece refused to finish paid our tab and walked out. I would never go here again or recommend this place to ANYONE. Los Glorias was an amazing and much better restaurant .

Salsa was fresh and delicious. Shared a classic Chimichanga with beef tips that was also delicious...plate and food came piping hot and both of us were more than satisfied for less than $9 for supper. One of the best Mexican meals Ive had for a long time! Clean, atmosphere- not amazing, but very nice! Large windows all around, seating not crowded... Well be back!

Service sucked as did the food - it was our first and last time there. Clearly our waitress was at the end of her shift - she screwed up 3 of 4 orders at our table, never bothered to come back to see if we needed drinks, chips, etc. and had to be reminded about everything she forgot... Go Elsewhere!
