How can you not love the place that introduced you to unlimited salad and breadsticks. Im pretty sure the "garlic" on the breadsticks contains a small amount of heroin based on both my cravings for them and the withdrawls that happen a few days after. But seriously, theyre awesome! Good size parking lot so youre not having to go find street parking and treking through fields to enjoy your Tuscan vacation! Standard Olive Garden here - large dining area, nice servers and the usual selection of Italian dishes. On the weekends, there is often a pretty sizable wait for groups larger than 2, but every time we go, its worth it! The prices range from $9.95 for specials to around $17.00 for "high end" dishes that usually include seafood. Appetizers are always crowd pleasers, and seriously, what isnt Italian about mozzarella sticks! Desserts are plentiful and usually pretty decent. Service here is always pretty quick, even with larger groups, and with the accompaniments of the bread and salad, you almost always have enough to go home with. The bar area isnt huge, but accommodates a decent amount of people and has some booths that are comfy and often not full when the rest of the place is. Smaller beer and wine selection, but it works and if youre coming to the OIive Garden for their vast array of libation, we need to chat. Olive Garden is the one chain restaurant that is consistently really good and a solid place to go grab a relatively quick bite to eat in a place that feels just slightly upscale. The fact that you can ask for a to go cup of your soft drink or tea as well as a bag of extra breadsticks to go with your above average leftovers is what separates Olive Garden from the rest of the chain restaurant world.

To start off, the only reason I am giving it two stars is cause the food was good and our waitress was exceptional. Me and my fiancee came in on 10/4/16 for dinner and was told by the blonde hostess itd be a 10 minute wait, we were fine with that and realized there wasnt a place to sit indoors so we said "will you get us if we sit outside?" she said "yes" and as we turned around to go outside I heard her quietly tell the other hostess in a joking manner "naww. ..were gonna leave your asses outside...." and start giggling. Only reason we asked that was cause they dont have a buzzer or speaker. Not to mention that when we left, both of them were whispering to each other while staring directly at me. Why would you have someone like that greet guests?

My son and his family were unable to travel to our home for Christmas because of the weather in Northern Iowa on Christmas Eve, so we decided to meet last Sunday in Iowa City to exchange gifts. My son got reservations at the Olive Garden. This way we each would only have to travel 2 1/2 hours. What a wonderful time at the Olive Garden. Our lunch was terrific and the service from our waitress Paige was outstanding. And the management allowed us to keep our table and exchange our Christmas presents. The joy on our eight year old grandsons face made the day extra special for all of us. Thank you again for being so good to our family. Best wishes for a super 2016. John Spring Quincy, Illinois.

my girlfriend d and I decided to do the order line and pick up service that olive garden has so that we could have a nice night in and the food was absolutely delicious and was ready when they said and the whole experience as a whole was amazing. when we arrived they acted so nice and they had us look at everything before they even put it into the bag to make sure everything was alright and just the fact they took that extra step made the difference compared to other resturants that just throw it all into a bag and let it sit vefore you get there. Overall a nice place with good food

Has the best service out of all the restaurants I go to. The waiters keep your water glasses full and check with you to make sure everything is good. Their bread sticks, salad and calamari is all I need to leave happy. I usually can take two bites of my entree and I am full from all the salad, bread stick and calamari. I always have leftovers for another meal or two. Love the roscato rosso dolce wine (a sweet wine like moscato but has berry taste to it) and the berry sangria. The relaxing atmosphere reminds me of my time in Italy. Never been disappointed.

Well , the food is very delicious . I like the enviroment there . But the reason I put 3/5 is the waitress was so sharp with us and pushing us to order and finish our food . Also, when she brought the food she didnt know how to order the table . We told her that you know better than us in table organizing . But she didnt know what to do ! . Also she repeated tolding us : can you speak English ?! We place our order in English and spoke to her in English . So we dont know why she asked us this question a lot !! .

I used to love the OG but I think my taste buds have since moved on. Got the tilapia picatta which was not that great but edible. The waitress was temperamental for some reason. Kind of made the meal uncomfortable with her angrily slamming things down on the table like the bread sticks and plates etc. She was very short with us and came to the table little as possible. My date enjoyed his food but was shocked by the attitude the waitress had as well. I dont really have a reason to return here.

Service was ok. Ordered one of my favorites, which was missing the main ingredient, so they brought me another, which was burnt. Took the server forever to bring me everything, including the check she had to fix, since she charged me for both of the bad dishes. If your hankering for Olive Garden, spend the gas money to go to Cedar Rapids. You should get your moneys worth there. The server was friendly enough though.

Have not been to an olive garden in almost 20 years. Pros: The building was clean and very nicely decorated. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Bread sticks good, food very good (cheese ravioli, beef and pasta) Con: Game screen at the table??!!! It was an obnoxious glowing distraction the entire meal. My child is within close enough proximity to phones and games without this screen. One star off for this.

The food is fairly typical Italian fare. Not incredible in any way. As usual, with sit-down places, the prices are (in my opinion) way too high. I will say that the staff is VERY good at this place. When we had a slight problem with one of our orders, the manager came over, apologized, corrected the matter, and gave us a free dessert.

Went today for Veterans day. It was wonderful. The service was fantastic. The food was wonderful. All of the staff and management treated all veterans with such total respect....I was so very impressed. They provided a free meal for active service and veterans. They did not even ask for proof of Veterans status.

My husband and I have dined at this place, the food is delicious!! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and I love their red wine. If you just want to grab a bite to eat or talk about business over dinner, I would highly recommend you try Olive Garden in Coralville!
