I was very disappointed this time around with the service. I ordered a full meal 8 piece with 2sides and 4 muffins. The man told me it would be about 15minutes which was fine. I came bqck then and food still not ready so waited extra 15 minutes more then finally the man tells me "Oh we dont have the thighs and not quiet cook yet and sorry we dont have muffins either would u like something else?". Why didnt he cook the muffins or tell me they dont have it when I first ordered it but waited til 30 minutes later and i paid for it to tell me!!! Very bad service and he forgot my gravy too. The food was good but if this is how they do business I difinity will not be coming back or recommend it.

My favorite new place to go!!!!! If you like good home cooking.....if youve ever eaten flounder in North Carolina.....you will love this place!!!! The staff is so friendly, they welcome you with a smile and tell you to "Come Again" as you leave. My favorite is "The Teaser", 1 piece of flounder and 1 piece of chicken and 2 sides. My favorite sides....green beans and mac ncheese! Yummy!!!! Ive been twice now. The 1st time was on a Harley ride with 14 people and they took care of us. Today I took my Mom and Sister! I love it!!!!

Ive been there twice!! Wonderful service wonderful food wonderful ambiance, everyone that works in that restaurant treats you like youre the first customer and the only customer. The fish is moist tender and cooked to perfection the macaroni and cheese is better than Ive ever eaten in my life!! The greens are unspeakably good. I have not tried the fried chicken because Im not a big Fried Chicken fan. Highly recommended and I am a loyal customer for life.

The food was absolutely amazing, even better than I expected but the service was pretty bad. They couldnt seem to keep up on the food and making sure they had enough of everything and some of the employees didnt greet us or smile at all. Customer service plays a pretty key role in whether or not people will come back. Ill get takeout but I wont ever sit in the restaurant again.

This was my first time here, and I decided to order food to-go. The staff was very friendly and laid back. When I got home and finished my food I decided that there wasnt anything I ate that was average, everything I ordered was spectacular- down the green beans and fries. An awesome first time experience and certainly not the last!

Absolutely wonderful Southern food from a fellow Georgian. Carol, the owner, personifies hospitality and comfort food! She says that her menu varies with the seasons. I cant wait to return to Iowa City to visit our son near the holidays when fare includes cornbread dressing. Yum!

I highly recommend the food. The fish was wonderful as were the green beans and macaroni. As someone from the South, it is such a pleasure to find Southern food--and cornbread--in Iowa. I will definitely come back for the cornbread dressing closer to Thanksgiving!

Fish was really good. The chicken was horrible. After getting our food i was very grossed out how they kept the silverware and straws. They were left wide open for everyone to touch! Made me wonder how my food was handled. Will not go back

Great southern comfort soul food. Great fried chicken and fish. Perfect collard greens. Cobbler... Yummmmmm. Dont expect the atmosphere of the Ritz. This aint that kinda place. Service was very friendly and homey.

Just doesnt seem like theyve got their act together. Upon visiting, they didnt have nearly enough food made for the lunch rush, so wait times were ridiculous. Left for a different restaurant rather wait in line.

Excellent experience. Went in around 1 PM got immediately greeted by a young man. Food was delicious, much better than when they first opened (due to them being extremely busy). Cant wait to go back again!
