I love Vitos! They have wonderful Salads and Sandwiches. Love the BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad, and the Chicken Pita Sandwhich (not sure what the name is exactly). Their French Fries are crinkle / thick and seasoned. And my husband would totally recommend the calzone. I think the atmosphere is just right for a casual lunch or dinner. Plus, theres a full bar and wonderful appetizers if youre just hanging out, killing time. I love the Spinach Artichoke Dip - Wow, that stuff is good! I dont care what the other reviews say, this place is awesome. We go there regularly, and the staff is always really nice. Yes, they stay busy, but never neglect you! Strongly recommend this place!

Walked in and got looked at by the bartender and another server and was not greeted at all. Yelled over to them to ask if we seat ourselves and they were too busy talking to each other to hear us. Waited 5 minutes until another server came to seat us. Noticed that none of the servers have their hair up (except ours)...which is gross to me. Food was alright. If it wasnt for our server Stephanie being so sweet and overall great, I wouldnt be visiting again.

We went on a Saturday around 12:45 pm. There were around 10 groups of customers spread throughout the restaurant. It was not busy. At all. We were greeted immediately and sat right away but a server never came to our table. We sat there for a little over ten minutes, and were never approached by a server. This isnt the first time this has happened here. I cant comment on the food as I wasnt able to actually try it. Definitely not recommended.

Vitos just reopened under new ownership and management. Food and service was great. We ordered the wings for an app and got it in a great time (under 15 minutes) when before it would have taken over 25! They cleaned it up and redid the floors and bathrooms...looks great:) Excited to see other changes that happen as business picks up.

Would not recommend Vitos on 42nd street to anyone! It took an hour to receive our food (for lunch) even though they werent busy and it took the table next to us 20 min to get a simple soup and salad! I wish I could at least say the food was good once we finally got it but it was nothing spectacular and definitely not worth the price!

Now I remember why I havent eaten here in several years. The menu is meh, the food we received was meh. The place is in need of an update. They must not rotate their beer, because the bottle of Sam Adams I was served was 2 months past its recommended drink by date. It was not good. I wont be going back.

Our sever was not very friendly at all, there was a hair in the artichoke dip she took it back then told us it was cheese when it clearly was not and she didnt even offer a discount. Chicken was dry, tortilla was hard. Really sucks cause we use to go there all the time but not ever again!

Ordered tarragon chicken (14.99). Pasta flavor very good, but chicken pieces "OLD and TOUGH". Ate the pasta and left ALL the chicken. When waitress told about it she apologized but no concessions were made, so asked for Manager. He took $4 off the bill. Not a classy reaction!

Business seems slow, and the food quality is mediocre at best. I got a French dip at a slow time and the bread was hard while the meat was lukewarm. Used to be very good, took a dive, and I likely wont be returning. Food is overpriced for what it is.

We have gone to Vitos for years, and we enjoy it. The food is always great, and the wait staff has always been friendly and considerate. Service sometimes slow, but they are willing to accommodate my special diet.

Some of the worst service I have received in a VERY long time. Had a carry out order that took almost 1 hour and they screwed up 2 of the items. Never apologized. Steer clear of this place if I were you.
