The food was terrible. The hostess gave me a strange look when I told her that I was there alone, she went to set me at the bar. I asked her if I could have a table and she told me that they set all single people at the bar, I told her that I was alone but not single. After I got a table it took 10 to 15 minutes before I was asked if I wanted chips and salsa. Then another 15 minutes before I was asked if I wanted a drink. 10 minutes later my pop came. 25 minutes later I was asked if I was ready to order. 25 minutes later my meal comes. I had to ask several times to get my drink refilled. I was never asked if I needed anything. Terrible. The place wasnt busy, so that wasnt the reason for the service.

Very Poor Experience!! Very Very Rude From The Time We Walked In The Door No Patience At All Andre The Watier Was Very Rude And Disrespectful When He Took Are Money For Payment He Did Not Listen To US And Dropped Our Change on the floor and left it there also we asked for extra plates and silverware and napkins and never came back to our table had to use the chips paper to eat off and go to another table to get siillerware We Will Not Be Back No One Should Be Treated In This Manor!!

The worse ever. I usually say the best place ever until today. Took my best friend with me said you have to try this place. There was 6 people in there. We ordered drinks and our food which took 45 mins to get. Could not believe 2 people came out of kitchen and started eating and we havent gotten ours yet. This was at 230 pm Tuesday April 11,2017. Cedar Rapids iowa. My rating is 1.

We are from Des Moines, here in Cedar Rapids doing work for the day. Was told we needed to check this place out. Lets just say Amazing!! Fantastic food, fantastic staff! We was still there at 10:50 when we got our bill, they close at 10, did not rush us out!! Told owner he had to open a restaurant in Des Moines ;) !! We will so be back!!

This is a great Mexican restaurant. On the weekends they come around and make guacamole right there for you. The drinks are great. They also come around with tequila for your drinks. The drinks are very large. The food is really good. It seems very authentic to me. And its definitely not chain type food

Discovered this gem after our favorite Mexican restaurant closed down. The food is well-priced, the decor festive, and the servers are always very attentive and helpful. There are a few vegetarian offerings with a couple of dishes that can be veganized by omitting cheese, sour cream, and the guacamole.

Went here for my birthday. Heard good things. Have never been so disappointed. The food was good but the service was terrible. Saw our server 3 times the whole time but all the workers had time to dance in the entrance way for 35 minutes. My birthday was ignored and our server was terrible.

There are very few latinos in Cedar Rapids, but this place does a good job of creating the Latin atmosphere, and the food is good. I recommend Joses Special, which is chicken and shrimp. Its not exactly Mexican, but its good.
