This place is a delight! The beers they brew here are straight up delicious. The Stout can serve as a great meal by itself and the Amber is delicious. The Octoberfest they have each year is well worth the trip to sample and my theory is that the beer brats that accompany them are delivered straight for Mt. Olympus where Zeus dines of them during the sacred week in Fall! Each growler is full of a brilliant dance of beer and happiness and are available for around $8! Great for get togethers! The different types of pops also make this place great for those that arent big into beers as well. The creme soda, black cherry soda and root beer are all worthy of your time and definitely leave you wanting more. One of the better breweries in the area and with the Amana colonies right there, its the perfect start, finish, or both to a tour around the area! The outdoor beergarten is a great place on any afternoon thats above 50 degrees and really adds to the ambiance of the quaint town it sits in. Try it - youll love it!

On festival days, when they should be thinking about providing their best service to the many potential new customers that dont usually come into town until those days, I feel like they fell a bit short. For example, despite a hung sign that says "2 samples per customer", they do away with samples altogether on festival days, even though I was there at 5 PM and there was no one else in line. I understand the rule for the busiest times, although in their place Id be filling up small disposable cups and distributing samples to the new customers in line so they could explore different brews and soda flavors, which should drive up sales, but my impression was that the attitude was in general not very customer-service focused. Not to mention my server was attending to me while talking on his cell phone. I hope that, if I come back, my experience will be better next time.

We had a great time visiting Millstream. It is small and cozy, the staff is warm and welcoming. We were there for Amanas Winterfest celebration and enjoyed playing KUBB with the staff and friends of Millstream. With regard to their brews, Im not much of a pro at micro-brews but our group did enjoy what they had to offer and took a case and some six packs home with us. Thank you for your hospitality!

Went there for lunch and paid $7 for a small bowl (not even full ) of "soup". It was broth with a few bits of potato and carrot. Came with a very small stale tasting roll. I would have been embarrassed to serve it.

Super friendly, and very helpful. Beer is delicious. I had the flight since it was my first time here, and it was a good decision. You get to take a glass home if you have the flight of 6 beers.

The Schild Brau Amber is a very good beer. Most of their other brews are very light and not to my liking. Nice place to sit in the shade and enjoy a good beer after a long afternoon of walking.

Great creamy mac and cheese. Awesome chicken strips not to much breading on the chicken strips which is good. Delicious French fries. Kind waiter. Not expensive.
