Astonishingly terrible. Used a living social coupon--first things first, and take heed--when a suposedly good restaurant gives you $50 to spend for $25 (that $25 goes to living social) theres probably a reason. The ribeye was gray, meaning they cooked it on a cold flat top--no delicious broiled or grill taste. No seasoning either. They offered steak sauce--no good steakhouse should do that. I had to use some just to choke it down--it was amazingly grissleized. My throat hurt like hell trying to swallow. NOT PRIME OR CHOICE BEEF if you ask me. Somebody needs to report this place to the BetterBusinessBureau because the quality of meat is definitely a lie. The filet mignion looked like a $4 piece of bacon wrapped sirloin crap you get at Hyvee. Bar none--the worse steak i have ever had--and ive had some bad ones. STAY AWAY PLEASE.

This was my 3rd time and final time I went to this place in the last few years. First and fore most, what a major let down. Prices seemed high at first, but then when the food came out I was majorly disappointed. I was looking for presentation and all three meals didnt present this. Their was real no choices of different steaks to choose from (all tenderloins). The salad was lettuce in a bag (yes you can tell), the main course had no presentation at all (this is due to the cook). I spent over $100 for 3 meals there and I would consider the food and presentation at the outback 2x - 3x better then this place. I will never come back to this place and would never recommend this place to a friend. The waitress was slow, which the tip I left her while demonstrate she needs improvement.

I recently heard that Ced-Rel was taken over under new ownership, and boy does it show. First off, they have the BEST shrimp in the United States, and I would love to see someone take me up on it. The "Oh my shrimp" are stuffed with real crab, cream cheese, onion, and fried, served with delicious sauces. Prices here can be a bit high sometimes, but first comes a complimentary tray with veggies, crackers, and a creamy cottage cheese to dip, along with fried gizzards. Salads are also complementary. Then comes the meal. There is nothing I dont love on this menu. All choices of fish are wonderful, steaks are juicy and superb, and specials are great too. This place is a must try!

The service and atmosphere at Ced-Rel is incredible! The food is also amazing, mixing options of seafood and steak. Mary Jo and Jeff do a great job running their supper club, and everything comes together. This has to be the best steakhouse in the area, and is worth the drive from Cedar Rapids.

Quality of service and food was much improved since we were last here under the previous ownership. Hubbys filet and shrimp were perfecr--done just right. My walleye was good. Salad was fresh. Wine was a full pour. Cant complain about anything.

Excellent steaks, but when we where there they had no fresh green veggies - just a kind of nasty frozen veggie medially (the kind of side youre expect in a school cafeteria. The place has a lot of charm however. A true Iowa Supper Club.
