I have ordered delivery from here for years.... It was recently sold ( or her sons inherited it). Ordering online is easy now. But my beef chow mein was onion chow mein, and it was totally soaked in liquid.. I had to use a slotted spoon get my beef chow mein onions out of the container. Good thing I got a lot of soy sauce to give my onions some flavor. I will probably try another Chinese delivery next time.

I have been dissatisfied each and every time I have ordered from here. Quality of the food that I have tried was low. The preparation seemed to be on par for a fast chinese food restaurant. Whenever a seafood dish is ordered there is basically zero seafood in the dish. The people working could benefit from the addition of people skills. I will try them again this coming winter to see if they are any better.

This place has be the original "okay five minute!" Since I was in middle school back in 2002. The owner still remembers me from back then even tho I live on the other side of town and rarely get to eat here. The food is just good old American style Chinese cuisine but they just do it better than all the others. The best in Cedar Rapids for fast Chinese! Long live East China Buffet!

We decided to try a new chinese resturant since we move to a new house so we went to east china restaurant close by our home and we got our usual order and after we got home ....WHY WAS EVERY THING STALE LIKE THEY WAITED A WEEK TO SERVE THIS S#!t TO ANYONE !!!!!! I woudnt feed anyone not even a murderer on death row WE WILL NOT BE EATING THERE AGAIN !!!!!!!

i went there for a ham,burger and french fries and they said as i quote "WE HAS NO FREACNH FRIES NO BURGER HERE" and i was very confused becasue i thought i was going to subway. i was also kinda repelled by the way she said "burn the jews" it was quite spicy and saucy but kinda stale i alsos didnt like thjeir pizza i mean i thought i was going to kfc

I had a pretty bad experience here. Waited an hour for my takeout while other people came in, ordered takeout and got it before me (I called beforehand). And when I got home it turned out they forgot an egg roll, put in the wrong g rice and the hot and sour soup was terrible. I think this was partially a fluke but still...

It is called east china but it is in east Iowa???? Very confuse...... Went with mom and dad and dads wife, and dads wifes date. The meal wouldve been uncomfort, but the music was too loud..... The family is very friendly with their sons in the restaurant after school hours. Service is slow probably because they cook to order which is nice if you have time. Hot, in the restaurant. They use the air conservatively
