The serve is slow, the food is bad and the employees are lazy. The menu is limited and catered to hipsters. Its a diner so a person excepts diner food. When ordering pancakes, I was given wheat pancakes. The menu didnt say wheat pancakes so its a natural assumption that they would be standard pancakes. I said something to the owner and his reply "wheat is in everything". Not only is that wrong but a person, with what seems to be little knowledge of food, should not be running a restaurant. I miss Egg and Pie and Chaska would be better served with a place that fits the community. Additionally, a standard breakfast for a place that was empty, should not take 3 hours. We walked in around 10am, waited for 30 minutes for service and wait longer for the food and then for them to remake the food. We didnt leave until 1pm. Thats awful and so is this place, which is so sad because a quality place deserves the prime location in Downtown Chaska that this crap hole has.

I really do love this place! The food is always excellent, especially the French toast (a MUST get!!). We also like the omelettes - nicely caramelized veggies. I really like that the ingredients are organic whenever they can. Definitely our favorite diner in the greater southwest suburbs! For a diner, I would say the prices are typical - they didnt shock me the first time I looked at the menu (especially considering the quality of the ingredients). The owner often comes around and checks in to see how youre doing. Hes a very nice guy and always chats for a minute or two. :) The service is, generally pretty slow, so dont come if youre in a hurry. It takes us about 45. This, in my opinion, is the one thing that this diner lacks. This is the only reason I rate them down a star. Other than that, its a great hometown, local business!

I want to like this place, i want to support local business. BUT i also just want a decent breakfast. Hash browns were both burnt AND soggy, obviously frozen. The egg and cheese sandwich is self explanatory egg and cheese, no sauce, no seasonings, very plain. I had a breakfast burrito once and it was just egg cheese potatoes. It was very dry and actually kind of hard to eat, and not seasoned at all. I had the french toast and had the same problem, no cinnamon, no sugar, just egg cooked into toast. I dont think the chef can cook or he has to follow stupid rules idk. Pricey for breakfast, the service is fine but not professional at all, I always hear the manager yelling at the employees in the back (we can hear everything they are saying) and last time my waitress wore headphones the whole time i was there.

If I could give this restaurant / Diner a negative review I would give it -5 stsrz, its like the Walking Dead in there, absolute no greeting for customer service no menus no water. The girl had to explain that it was her first day because her actions showed that she did not know what she was doing. No customer service slower than a sloth, ... actually saw an elderly couple walk in sit themselves down. She ignored them and continue to ignore us then got up and left she didnt even notice. Very expensive food for a diner experience, to add on fries for a kids menu was $4. Was excited to try a diner and was extremely let down by the whole experience will never eat there again

AMAZING PIZZA - The BEST around. My parents live out near the Chaska area so I have driven by this place quite a bit. I know that the building always seems to be changing...but, I think this time they got it right. Very cozy seating. I believe the owners name is Tommy and he came out to make sure we liked our pizza. And, boy did we! Its just the word Diner, I never would have thought to go there for a pizza. But holy smokes. Tommys Pizza will knock your socks off. Change the name to Chaska Pizzeria and boom - this place will take off. Start delivering it too! Best Pizza anywhere around.

We had the best pizza in this metro area here tonight. I really like this diner-- the fresh-made food, the friendly owner and staff. I meet friends there for "everything" omelets for breakfast, and tonight we tried the pizza-- with "everything" again! Fresh peppers, spinach, mushrooms, artichokes, onions and wonderful sausage on a freshly made crust. It was great, and we followed it up with a cup of gelato for dessert.

Not the most expansive menu, but has all the diner staples. I had the breakfast skillet and it was very good. The coffee was some of the tastiest Ive ever had. Probably had one too many cups as a result. The toast, oh how the toast was so good. It came with the skillet and was soaked in butter, juicy. The quickest way to my heart is with a juicy piece of toast. Would come again the next time Im in the neighborhood

Pros: I really like the atmosphere they have going. Ive been there for brunch and the food was great. The servers were friendly. Cons: Just a little slow to get our food. Not terrible though. The bathrooms should probably be cleaned better. Theres a pile of kids toys and other activities in the corner that are in disarray. They should really get rid of most/all of it and clean it up.

With the checkered tiles on the floor, the calming light and dark blues against white tile of the walls, the pressed silver back splash behind the front counter to serve the patrons seated at the stools... It is like traveling back to a diner of the 50s. I throughly enjoyed my relaxing lunch from my day of Autumn Day of exploring at The Carver City Diner.

Cant quite call it the worst, But when two couples leave because of the delay of the waitress. Our order gets delivered to someone who just placed his order minutes previously. The kitchen chef yelling to the waitress to come back in the kitchen and help in full view of the patrons something is obviously wrong. First and last time Ill be visiting here.

I dont know how they do it but the california burger was the crispiest and softest bun matched with their patty and fixings ive ever had. It was probably one of the "freshest" flavor of a burger Ive ever eaten. Great job! The atmosphere is retro 50s dinner with a modern edge. The customer service was excellent. Id definitely come back again.

Love this place, Ive had quite a few items on the menu and Ive never had a bad meal. My favorite is the pizza, do yourself a favor and order one ASAP its the best Brooklyn style pizza Ive ever had. Id classify this place as a less expensive alternative to having dinner at the crooked pint. The staff is also very friendly and attentive.

Old fashioned Diner atmosphere. Limited menu due to recent change of Management. Service is okay but feels very disorganized. You are not seated but allowed to sit wherever. Its my opinion that this throws off the natural flow and sometimes it takes longer to get the coffee refill you so desperately need early in the morning.

We love this place! True, the service is spotty, but the food is fresh and always very tasty. The prices are good as well. If youre an early weekend riser I highly recommend trying this diner out! The breakfast burrito and breakfast skillets are excellent. The hours listed are wrong, they are open on weekends!
