I love this place! By FAR the best mexican food I have ever had! My husband and I have traveled a lot and been to multiple mexican restaurants and non have dazzled us like this one. First the service is fast, not only that but my god they are friendly. The owners family even comes and chats with us for a while. Now let me tell you about the food. It is so mouth watering delicious. My husband always gets the cowboy fajitas and oh my are the good! I always get the chicken and rice which is also very very good! The queso they put ontop is so addicting. The chips and salsa are always fresh and marvelous. Their house made margaritas are thirst quenching and amazing! We go here at the very least once a week. You have to try it out!

My husband and I eat here at least once a week, sometimes more. Everything weve eaten has been excellent. The wait staff is always friendly and helpful. The margaritas are the best Ive ever had. I lived in Phoenix for 7 years and had the best Mexican food. When I moved back to Des Moines, it took me years to find an authentic Mexican restaurant - until I came to Guadalajara. Theres no turning back now. My husband and I look forward to Thursday nights which is when we typically go there.

Absolutely LOVE the Service, they see me come in the door and immediately start the to the table with water, chips, salsa and an interest in ME,the staff truly want to know how are things....I think this is because they KNOW the Food is going to be fantastic. Love the Pork Burrito, the beef enchiladas, the chili relleno, the chicken and rice, the Fresco Guacamole....Its All Good...oh I forgot to mention the Flan...outstanding....But the BEST of The Best are the Margaritas!

We got seated. Had to go ask to be waited on. The hostess said she was sorry asked where we were seated when she was the one that seated us. Came to our table said she would get someone. Hello, arent you capable of asking if we would like something to drink. You are a Hostess!!!! Finally someone showed up and then another and gave us free sauce and guacamole. Great food tried to compensate but the young hostess needs to get a new job or realize she has to do something.

Their food has been really good and weve been enjoying their new patio area. However, the service weve received in the past four visits (on the patio) hasnt been good. Mixed up orders, forgotten by the waiter, having to ask for drinks, silverware, etc, etc. Perhaps its being really busy with the new patio, but not a good excuse. We are specifically asking for a different waiter next time.

On the positive side the staff were super friendly and helpful..the food was good but lacked flavor. Tried Chips and Salsa, Fajitas, Quesadilla and Shrimp Cocktail and sadly they all were just average or below. If you like Taco Bell and Taco Johns style Tex-Mex but need a Margarita too then this is your goto place. But if youre looking for authentic Mexican then you need to keep looking.

Chips tasted burnt. Buffet food seemed stale and needed labels. Two of the four heat lamps were out, and the buffets location within the restaurant creates a bottleneck. Food is either spicy, or bland, with no real flavor. The restroom was unacceptable. The whole family, including the children were disappointed with this visit. Wait staff was attentive and amiable.

Havent once got my order completely right. I think there are some language barriers between the wait staff and customers. Ive no problems accommodating someone learning English, but either the management or wait staff must be afraid to clarify orders and would rather get the order wrong than ask any questions. Food is fine, if you can get what you ordered.

This is our local Mexican place and we drop in often for dinner or margaritas. The staff all know us and its within walking distance of home. We are always pleased with the food and the drinks. I personally love the carne asada tacos. My wife prefers the chicken and rice.

This is hands down the best Mexican food in Ankeny! The chips and queso are perfection. The margs are top notch and the food is exceptional. Great service too! My girlfriend and I come here almost once a week and will continue till the day we die.

The food was your typical Mexican food and was good. However we had to wait for 15 minutes to be say even though there was open tables. Then it tool forever to get our food and refills on chips and drinks. Just seemed very chaotic.

Poor tasting food but a clean environment. Wait staff accommodated our 9 month old well. The food was bland. You can tell a good Mexican restaurant by the cheese they use. This cheese tasted old and stale. The beans were watery.

The service is great. The food is good. Could use a little maintenance. We got a high chair that had a broken strap. When we asked for a new one, our server took the broken one and put it back on the pile with the rest.

Food was very good. The fajitas are quite tasty. Plenty of food for the price. Th Pugh the building is showing some age: a few sagging ceiling tiles. The servers were prompt. Overall a pleasant experience.

Just typical slop on a plate! Ordered a chimichanga and it was awful! Soft and gooey, not crispy like it should be. Disappointing! Margaritas were weak at best. Dont waste your money.
