On Sunday, August 19th, my husband and I, along with another couple, were returning to West Lafayette, IN from the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, IN. We were tired after a long day, and its about an hour drive, so we decided to stop at the first Starbucks we could find that was just outside of Indy (to avoid local traffic), to get a little caffeine. According to Google Maps, the Starbucks located at 6378 Crane Drive in Whitestown, IN would be open until 10 p.m., and it was 9:12 p.m. when we got off on exit 130; so we werent worried, even though from a distance we could see a line of cars. We considered getting gas at the gas station next door, but decided not to. When I pulled into the drive-thru, there weren’t any more cars in line, so I was expecting a fast, efficient crew. Instead, when I spoke our order into the drive-thru’s speaker, I got no response. I repeated it, but still, no response. I then said “hello” a few times, but again, no response. I thought that maybe their speaker was broken, that’s been the case before at a Starbucks, so no big deal. I drove forward to speak with someone at the window. I saw a girl at the register and tried to get her attention by waving my arm around, this did nothing. I lightly honked my horn once, she turned her head and looked at me. I smiled and waved, so that she would understand that I just wanted to get her attention, not to be rude or anything like that. She looked at us, almost thru us, with a blank stare, and turned away. We sat there, puzzled. I was about to honk and wave again, when she walked away. I was hoping this was to go get someone else or something like that. After a short while, she came back to the register area, but did not face us, and did not look at us again. I was stunned at the way she was ignoring us, but I tried to remain calm and reserved, I didn’t want to get upset over a simple misunderstanding. As my patience began to wear thin, another girl walked by, I took the opportunity, and honked. She stopped walking, and turned to look at us. I smiled and waved again, but she too just stared at us. Then, she seemed to huff as she also walked away from us, like we weren’t there, like we didn’t exist. Now I was upset. We started to wonder if Google Maps was wrong, and if the store was actually closed. But the lighted sign was still on, and the lights inside were still on. We continued thru the drive-thru and neared the front of the store. We were going to get out and check to see if the hours of operation were posted on the door, but at that point, we didn’t want to give them our money anyway. Not after that rude display of customer service. Even if the store was closed, the only thing the employees needed to do, was tell us that; that would have made us slightly disappointed, but we would’ve been informed, and on our way. That would have been the decent thing to do. But no, they couldn’t even be bothered to give us that, simple human courtesy. As we drove away, we saw a few people getting out of their cars and walking up to the store. We were going to warn them away from the bad customer service, but frankly I was too annoyed to be advising anyone, and didn’t want to waste even one more second on that store. We have never received such rude service, actually, non-service, from a Starbucks before. It was truly unbelievable. Horrible customer service, we will never go here again! The next Starbucks we came across had great customer service, thankfully.

I stop in here every two weeks with my back and fourth from Chicago. There are a few employees that are nice and willing to help and take my order how I ask. However there are a few and one today named Lisa in black and white stripes. I ask for a pour over every time because that what I like. The Asian lady who is super nice and trying so hard but her accent can prove challenging for some took my order, no issues. Lisa treated her terribly and talking to her like she is a child because Lisa couldnt understand her at first and also kept saying just give him what brewed. I dont want whats brewed I asked for a pour over. She then proceeded to tell her to tell me its going to take a while in a very loud condescending tone all the while right in front of me and knowing I can hear. I told the Asian lady thank you I know its what I get all the time I am ok with waiting. Lisa needs to go to charm school and realize we spend $5 for drinks because we want them how we want them. I can spend a $1 and go to mcdonalds where Lisa might need to work.

Im new in town, and was looking for a close Starbucks near me and this location was it. Every time I came by I had a bad experience, either with my drink or customer service. And today was the day Im never going back again. The barista who was controlling drive thru had a huge attitude with me on how I wanted my drink. And was accusing me I didnt order it that way. When it is advertised like that on there board.... But just the fact it was the worst customer service Im never going back. Instead of trying to make it the way it should be or even apologizing. She was accusing me. You can tell shes there just cause its a job and isnt passionate about it. Starbucks really needs to do interviews on there personalities next time they hire someone. This is not the first time a barista had a attitude in this location. New year, new coffee shop. Sorry Starbucks company.

My experience there was good. People were nice but apparently they are suppose to hand the card reader out the window so I can swipe my card and they didnt. They took my card and someone tried to use my card number to buy 200.00 worth of groceries at meijer in Zionsville. I dont go by there much but now I will never go back again. I called them today and they didnt seem to be to concerned.

Horrible customer service but unfortunately this is the only sbux near my work. They were out of gift card envelopes, and I always have to ask for drink stoppers when other locations automatically put them on your cup and/or have them available at the "condiment" station. Avoid this gas station Starbucks if you can!

This is one of the larger Starbucks I have visited. The space was very clean and the staff was friendly. If I needed a space to settle down and get some work done, this Starbucks would be on the short list.

Great service. This is our favorite Starbucks. I bring my kids there every week - they treat us like royalty. They know what we like and make suggestions when they have new stuff. Love this place!
