We used to like this place, and havent visited in a couple of years. The staff is not trained at all, the experience is disorganized. The restaurant seems dirty as others said. My Wife ordered an ice tea, which had to be returned b/c it was terrible. Tasted to be days old. She elected the Horchata, which I was drinking, and was good (I believe to be pre-packaged). We started with the Guacamole Casera, which was ok, It was served in a shell that was undercooked and doughy. She ordered the seafood fajitas and I had the Bllue Burrito. The Fajitas were terrible. The Quality of seafood was aweful. The octopus was like tasteless rubber bands. The crab was imitation, and had a poor texture for imitation crab meat. The shrimp in both our dishes tasted old and were extremely tough and rubbery; the tilapia was ok, but obviuosly frozen and mushy. My burrito was served with a side salad on the same hot plate that was taken fresh from the oven; which was so hot that is caused a blistering burn on my ring finger when slid onto the table. The steak and shrimp in the burrito were very very tough. The half I ate I used a knife and fork to dissect and consume. When we were delivered our check, a lady came with a cart and asked four our plates, nothing like helping to bus your own table instead of having a conversation with your date. The cashier asked how our meal was, and we nicely explained the parts that were "very not good". After a very short summary of a long list, his reply was only "thanks for telling me". Im not mad at the staff, the staff seem to have no training at all. I think the management is terrible. I would go to Taco Bell for a better meal and better service (and our local taco bell is terrible).

Today we ate at my families favorite Mexican restaurant in town, El Arriero. I have eaten there since they opened their doors over 15 yrs ago. We go once a week. Today I had a negative experience and I wont go back due to the attitude I received from the manager. My son ordered two bean and cheese burritos as he does every week. However, today the portion size was that of a taco shell wrapped around beans. Mine had less than of an ounce of meat in the quesedilla, so I sent it back too. The manager brought the food back to the table and asked what was the problem. I explained my order, I opened up the quesedilla and they had tripled the amount of meat, so I was fine. He said oh someone must have fixed it. I told him about my sons order and that they werent burritos, they were taco rolls and to pay nearly $8 for those two taco sized bean burritos wasnt right, he said that is the way they always are. I already told him we eat there 1 a week and know better, but he handed them back to me and continued to try and argue his point. I brought many people to that restaurant through the years, but not again. Ill find a new favorite restaurant in town. Customer service fail.

Gracias a Dios.

It used to be good. I wish they cared more and the staff had more training. Food: overcooked seafood, fajitas terrible, guacamole appetizer OK but soggy shell. You could tell the seafood was NOT fresh. Service: not great. Waiter not attentive, cashier didnt know how to handle problem when he asked how was everything, and lady came with a cart to clean our table while we we in the middle of a conversation and had us hand dishes to her. Not worth the money! MANY other places in town have better food and service for same price.

Service was friendly & food came out pretty quick. Fajita Taco Salad was tasty & a little soupy from the sauce & cheese dip. The Raspberry frozen margarita was fantastic! My family loved their food, too. My only suggestion to the restaurant: everyone needs to clean-up. Front door was covered in carcasses of scotch-tape. Cob-webs in the corners & near the video surveillance cameras. Window seating was good, but cheap blinds hanging wonky or all sorts of angles make this a bit of an indoor-eyesore.

This is a fine restaurant for Mexican fare. There are several in the city, and this ranks in the top 3, easily. Quality is consistent, and the service is always very attentive. Usually, all you have to do is make eye contact with your server to get their attention. Prices are really a bargain, all things considered. Id give them 5 stars, but I dont care for their Iced Tea.

why is this place still in business evidently they live on the tourist industry as nobody would come back twice?? Food unattended on the the patio for an hour, small cold portions with no flavor and a staff that doesnt seem to care.

El Arriero has the best Mexican food around. Great service depending on who your waiter is. I have nothing bad to say about this place and heard so many great compliments about them. If u havent been there, u must try.

Horrible... cold, small portions. Filthy... dishes on deck sat filthy for an hour while we dined with birds and bugs the only things enjoying this very poor, tasteless restaurant.

Favorite Mexican place in town. My wife and I go most Friday nights as our date night. My Wife loves the ACP chicken and waits most of the week in order to get it.

Used to love this place BUT when your food is sitting on the table in front of you and you have to ask FOUR (4) times for silverware thats wrong. No more.

Great Food, good view in the back room, hard to get in & out of. I only order one thing so not sure about the rest of the menu items. One of my favorites!

Food is okay but restraurant is kind of dirty. Seems they are taking steps to fix that though. Prefer to go to Los Gordos or Mi Lindo instead.
