Old school awesome! Only "old school" because I remember JD from the 70s and 80s and the staff are exactly the same; friendly and accommodating. The food is good and plentiful and the restaurant is clean, well lit and comfortable. We ate here for 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch and thoroughly enjoyed each. Tenderloin still as yummy as ever! Had dinner tonight, got the buffet and Rheba Reasners Swiss Steak recipe is just divine. The broasted chicken is as good as it ever was. Go and say hello to the GM, Tim Creasey and if you dont, hell say hello to you!

Took family here for a late lunch today. Food was standard, as always, not bad. The wait staff could care less about serving our table. We were forced to wave a padding waitress down several times, there were no check-backs to see if anything was needed. When playing the bill asked the cashier for a yo go box 3 times before she got the idea. She simply blank-stared at me. Guess nobody wants to wait tables on a sunny Sunday.

Always hard working waitresses and food is usually good. Tonight during the tornado scare of it hitting Tipton, the staff kept checking regularly and made brought us down to the basement to make sure everyone was safe. The hours manager was very quick to respond during the whole thing, very professional and respectful throughout.

Worst diner ever. Ordered the triple decker club for $7.99 and it was just 3 pieces of toast stacked on top of each other with 1 piece of bacon and one piece of turkey. The bread was dry and the service was awful and even the fries were under cooked. Just a terrible experience. Hated it.

Solid affordable diner food, with a breakfast buffet bar option. Service was distracted when I went, but they were friendly, and my order was good. I wouldnt have minded an iced tea refill (given there were three customers at the time of my visit), but the food more than made up for it.

Jim Dandys is the perfect breakfast pit stop for my everyday speedy routine. The food is always hot and fresh and Lisa (waitress) is always very pleasant. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves down home cooking with that small town everyone knows you feeling. Thank you.

You know you go and see a good buffet and then halfway through they swap out food with other foods, how rude. Tonight especially, green beans were cold and they swap out pasta for fish. I hope someone fixes this problem so they can keep the same buffet items for the whole time.

This restaurant is usually a good place to eat. Today the bacon was cold which the waitress replaced with hot bacon. The eggs were warm but not hot & I didnt asked her to replace. I dont believe they had their plates hot enough prior to placing the food.

If you use the "curbside pick-up", check your order before leaving. Our orders have been wrong or something missing more times than not. It shouldnt take two trips to get the correct order. The food is pretty good, but Im just about over it.

Been eating here since I was a kid of about 5. After every basketball game Id go there for dinner with my mom and brother. Great childhood memories and great food. Friendly staff and very neat/tidy
