My husband and I loved this place! The food was amazing as well as our server, Gordon who we loved! The first day we came for a late lunch and had the goat cheese fritters, voodoo pasta and the steak frites. For desert we had The Brownie: house made cream cheese brownie, Brooklyn and the Butcher salted ice cream. WOW!! The food was amazing. We had a few of the ipas on tap that were so refreshing. We had such a great time talking to Gordon, enjoying the food and the atmosphere. Gordon told us that if we enjoyed lunch to definately stop back for dinner before we left town. We reserved for the following evening and requested Gordon again. We arrived before he got there but the manager seated us in his section, got our drink orders and spoke with us before he arrived. The manager was very welcoming and all of the employees made us feel at home. Gordon arrived and made suggestions on the menu and drinks and was spot on again! We loved the Goat cheese fritters so we started with those again. My husband had the Fried chicken with firecracker sauce, Gouda mac and cheese and watermelon slaw with black bean purée. I had the Scallops with squash pave, horchata, cipollini & mushroom ragout and almond crackers. Both entrees were amazing! This time we had the creme brûlée with fresh berries. AMAZING!! The chicken had such good flavor and the mac and cheese was the best I ever had in my life. Before we left, Gordon showed us the outside patio area that was so nice! If it had been a little cooler outside we wouldve definitely took advantage of that! I cant say enough! In final thoughts...we told the manager he needs to open a restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA because we need a place like this in our area. We will miss Gordon as he is probably the best server we ever had! Thanks for a great time...until our next visit...

Received a gift card and was excited to try out a new-to-us restaurant. The atmosphere and drinks were good. The service was ok. I felt a little bit rushed to order even though we explained we had never been there before. I ordered the ribs and mac and cheese. The ribs were hot but tough. I had to work very hard to get the meat off the bone. The bbq sauce was really good and the presentation was nice. The mac and cheese was disappointing. The cheese sauce was watery and poured over the noodles rather than being baked in. It was called smoked mac and cheese but there wasnt much flavor to the cheese sauce at all. The fish and chips my husband ordered turned out to be two small pieces that served with fries. The breading fell off the fish and the chips were just frozen fries. We were hoping, that for the price, the fish would be bigger and the fries homemade. Two entrees, one mixed drink and two beers totaled $77.00 before a tip. I would be happy to pay that price, however, the quality and flavor just wasnt there. Super disappointing because I really wanted to like this place.

Kudos to the Exchange Pub + Kitchen! We celebrated our 50th anniversary dinner there on Saturday, July 18 and had a most wonderful experience. We live in VA, had never been to the Exchange and were somewhat "needy" in making arrangements for our special dinner with family - there were 16 in our party. Ian and his staff were so patient in answering our questions and went out of their way to accommodate our group. Tiffany was our server and she handled our big group flawlessly, never missed a beat and always had a big smile. Just excellent - thank you, Tiffany! Our dinners were amazing. The food was absolutely delicious - among the best we have ever eaten in a restaurant! We recommend the Exchange heartily! If you are thinking of going there to enjoy a special dinner or a great pub experience (try their beautiful new patio) - just do it. You will be glad you did!

Made reservations and arrived a bit early. We were asked if we wanted a table or booth (both were readily available) and indicated we wanted a table. Greeter walked to what looked like a bar area and attempted to seat us a high top table which we declined. He then walked us to the main area and directed us toward a both near three open tables. When we asked if we could sit at one of the open tables, he informed us that they were "reserved". We informed him that we had reservations and he then asked us if we wanted one of those tables. Just wanting to end the tour we accepted the booth. Three of our party ordered a steak entrée and they were all over cooked. The service was very good, the appetizer and salads were very good but I dont recommend their steaks.

love this place... a little pricey, but thats because of the high quality food and beverage options... amazing food... very chic and boutique style for new albany, but thats what this area needed was a little pizzazz and refined atmosphere and dining options... everything we tried was absolutely awesome... great flavors and combinations... and good boutique style wine selections.... overall... 5 out of of 5 stars for me.... very lightly pricey compared to typical dining portions but worth the splurge.... not your neighborhood chain dining restaurant.... and the outdoor patio bar tops off the amazing meal atmosphere.... I will be back many times to come.... thanks the The Exchange....

Let me start with the important bit: the food earned this place 5 stars. Hands down, one of the best thought through and put together meals I have had in a long time. Every bit of the pork chop, apples, sweet potato, and greens worked so well together. Its refreshing to see so much love go into every part of the creation and preparation of a meal. That said, the service was on the lacking side. Nothing explicitly wrong with how we were treated, but the whole experience was just slightly off. But back to the important bit: the food. Even with the weirdness of experience, the meal more than made up for it. Good for foodies, but maybe not the place for a date with a non-foodie.

After being pushed from an overly crowded restaurant, our party of 4 ventured here and was pleasantly surprised to be seated at a table as soon as we walked in. There were plenty of folks seated inside and out which contributed to a wonderful energy and vibe. We loved our waitress and the food was wonderful with generous portions and inviting flavors. The only distraction from a great evening was that we were seated underneath a giant ceiling fan that was cold enough to cause one of us to use her napkin as a shawl. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the evening and we will be back.

The food was fine, however, being seated in small outdoor chairs with no support at all caused me serious back pain which I am still trying to recover from today. I was surprised at the type of chairs being used which would not be commonly used for permanent seating and should have not accepted that seating or skipped the restaurant. It was also extremely loud making conversation incredibly difficult resulting in everyone shouting at each other. Overall, I would not recommend the restaurant due to these issues. There are far better choices in the area.
