They made my wife cry on our anniversary! We waited an hour for a table, sat outside and had a drink while waiting. Everything was fine until we were seated, the waitress asked for our IDs. We are both well over 21 and dont look young, and they didnt ID us for our drinks while we waited. My wife left her ID at home. They refused to serve us! The manager said that everyone inside had to have ID proving their age. We werent even drinking at this point, but they would not let us sit there and order food. All he would say is "Sorry"! After waiting for an hour! They have a sign up stating no one under 21 is allowed in, but no where does it say you wont be served without ID. This is a TERRIBLE way to run a business and they should be ashamed!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Take three small uncooked tortillas, sprinkle under-cooked potatoes, throw on two tiny pieces of sausage, pour thousand island-ish dressing over the top and serve with ice-cold Spanish rice from a bag---- charge $10.95 and call it a meal. When we told the waitress it was one of the worst things we had ever been served, she responded half-heartily. My friend was so hungry she ate the "tacos". The waitress did bring some more rice. Heated up it still had no taste. Then the waitress said that had we not eaten it she would have taken it off of the bill. Sooooo---- pride in food and service all gone? Yes, we paid because my friend ate the tacos. But geez- make it decent or take it off of the menu.

Visited this past weekend for our annual girls trip. Big Woods is one of the few bars/restaurants open after 6pm in Nashville but thats ok because their food was phenomenal! Our group had the crab cake sandwich, cheese burgers, and the pork tenderloin sandwich- all of which were delicious. I also enjoyed a light lemony speciality cocktail that was refreshing and not too strong. (Cant remember the name!) Service was good even though the place was packed. It may be somewhat expensive, but thats what you get in a little tourist town. Overall, we visit Big Woods at least once every year and will continue to do so in the future. Already have next years reservation booked!

Way overpriced. Beer was mediocre, and 6 bucks a pint. I got the half rack of ribs on "special", which the daily board said came with asparagus and roasted potatoes, but actually came with canned corn sucotash and pasta salad. The ribs were terrible. I dont normally say much about restaurant food, but these were exceptionally dry and brand - not at all worth the $17 premium. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich, which was pretty standard. For as many great brewpubs and restaurants are popping up around Johnson /brown county, These guys need to step it up. Drive the 25 mins to bargersville and go to taxman brewing Co.

Great beer, kind staff, friendly atmosphere. I visited Big Woods Brewery the other day for my first time and had a very enjoyable experience. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the beer, the Spicy Bacon Ranch Burger was filling, and the restaurant has a refreshing character to it. Its not a huge place so you might not be able to get a table right away if its busy, but definitely check it out.

Phenomenal BBQ! I had the pulled pork wimpies and they were amazing! It had a light fluffy bun, just the right amount of delicious coleslaw, a little red onion, BBQ sauce and the wonderul juicy pulled pork! Its a small little place but we were there in January and there was no wait at all. The staff was super friendly and took our picture. HIGHLY recommend!

I had one of the best burgers i have ever had in my life to be honest. The service was remarkable, the beer selection was decent and their own brewed beer was great. I had the Hefeweizen and it was very well brewed, excellent flavor. Get there early, specially on the weekend, it is a tiny place and there is usually a wait. But believe me, its worth it.

Great beer. Busted Knuckle is a famous local brew. Food is just as amazing as well. Since practically everything in Nashville closes around 6 pm, and its hard to hike after dark, this is pretty much the only place to go. Thankfully, they dont rest on their laurels and continue to be a trendy, friendly place to eat, drink, and unwind.

QuaffOn! has some of the best beer Ive ever had and their Pulled Pork Nacho Pizza is no doubt the best pizza Ive ever had. So full of flavor and toppings for a great price that I over indulged and almost made myself sick on it. Worth every minute waiting and worth every dime dropped.

The Big woods brewing company is a small restaurant and brewpub. The draft menu is outlined on a chalkboard, with various sizes and flights available. We sampled several and did not find any clunkers. The food menu is bar food, and the pizzas definitely look interesting.

This place has very good service and the space itself its very cozy and welcoming. Good selection of local beers, which is always a plus. I ordered the mac n cheese with bacon and the flavor was very good but the portion way too small for a guy like me. Its worth the visit!

Great food, great beer, great music, and, most importantly, the best company! Try the ahi tuna street tacos with a Crosshair, you wont be disappointed! My wifes burger was awesome too - so good (and big at 1/2 pound), I had to eat half of it! This is truly a special place.

My experience here was extremely disappointing. Hostess should ask to see peoples IDs BEFORE waiting an hour and fifteen minutes to be seated and then being asked to leave because not everyone in the party had their ID, even though everyone was 21.

After a long bike ride from Indianapolis, was really looking forward to some good beer. Beer, not so good, but then growler price was unreal, $15 for a refill, so we had a pint a piece and went to the lcoal liquor store for evening beer...

Prices are 3 to 4 dollars more per item than what is listed on their menu on the website. Food was underwhelming for the wait, shredded cheese on burger not melted, half ass stale chip crumbs for 12.95 not worth it. Service was good.

My wife and I ordered 2 brisket plates. Both were room temperature at best. If I return, Ill stick to something simpler like a pizza or hamburger that may be served warm. For now, Ill stick to the downtown Indy brew pubs.

One of the best places to eat in Nashville. This place has treated me well for years. The pulled pork is amazing and they do a great job cooking any meat that they might have as a special.

Great staff, good beer and food, occasionally live music. The fact that youll typically need to wait for a table at dinner time speaks for the quality and enjoyment of the place and menu.

A chicken and asparagus sandwich on a pretzel bun. Sounds different, doesnt it? But, it was delicious, and the service was quick and attentive. Definitely worth a visit to Big Woods.

Excellent! The fresh made dough makes all the difference with the pizza. We absolutely loved it! Plus the 6 Blonde and the Cat Tail wheat were awesome. Well definitely be back!
