I have ordered carry out from here a few times, tonight I decided to eat in.I got an order of pot stickers, pan fried noodles, and black pepper beef. Took home an order of hot and sour soup...this meal, in addition to the others I have had was far better than most I have had in the area. When I read reviews,I always look to see what people complain about in addition to what they rave about...anyone who orders typical American Chinese food, sorry I dont trust your opinion on anything. I can honestly say the only thing I found even slightly disappointing was that they did not have red vinegar. Beyond tasty it has all been very good, especially for the region! Glad to have found a new place that has been here a while.

Probably the best Chinese takeout food within an an hour if not the state. Ive had a lot of Chinese food. Some great, a lot of bad food. This place is great. First of all the lunch special has a fantastic price and you will get enough food for 2 meals. I dare you to try and eat all of the lunch special in one sitting. There are always a lot of people waiting and eating here. They clearly have customers that love the food. The time is a little slow, but Id rather have slow food at a lunch rush hour than quick and bad food. Thats why you can easily call ahead. I love this place and highly recommend it for anyone. As for the decore, there isnt really any. There are 2 tables but this is mainly for takeout.

If I could give a lower rate I would. My sister went there because it WAS my favorite restaurant for years and I gave her good reviews. But when she went, her children received a beef dish with rotten meat. When she complained to management they were very rude and ignored her. They proceeded to humiliate her by saying " nobody has complained but you, you just want to complain". She left and called the Munster food inspector. As of today they are closed, they found a filthy kitchen and numerous violations. If you call the number it states they are closed for kitchen repairs....eat at your own risk!!!!

Food is fantastic and great portions. Decent and clean atmosphere but very bright inside. Very friendly man speaks English very well takes my order, and they take orders even 5 minutes before closing! Talk about the customer coming first! They truly know this. Unlike that "Tasty" joint up the street in Hammond which the carryout menu says they close at 9:30 and dont even answer the phone at 8:45 Way better than wings too. Wings is a poor excuse for Chinese cuisine. Highly recommended!

Blah! Terrible, just ordered...couldnt eat for more than 5min. ordered a large shripm fried rice....definately wasnt made by asians, because they steam their rice firm and this rice was sticky and soggy and Mushed together! no flavor, had no eggs in it....couldve cooked this at home! pulled pork looks like pulled cat! never ordering here again! Fed to my cat!

I love the food. Very nice people who run it. I had only 2 little issues which were taken care of, nothing major. I have been ordering from this place now for a few years. I make it easy, I get the same thing everytime, and its in their system, so they just pull it right up and it gets set to go. I highly recommend Fortune House.

Officially found my Cantonese family restaurant near me. The Salt and Pepper Squid that I ordered was PERFECTLY COOKED. THERE SINGAPORE MEI-FUN WAS YUMMY-LICOUS. SZECHUAN BEEF WAS JUST THE RIGHT OF SPICY.... all these dishes are from the spicy category, just do you know. My friend the waiter has a funny side to him. He is awesome!

The Egg Drop soup is to die for. You cant beat this place for lunch value to food quality anywhere in Chicago or for that matter my national travels! Love this food. English is a 2nd language, so read the menu or write your own order on paper. OK Atmosphere, but again you cant beat the food!

Its the best around here. This neighborhood lacks good restaurants. Their food is fresh and tasty. I havent had a bad experience yet. There are different names than other restaurants, like their sesame chicken tastes like Chi-tung orange chicken, not too citrusy. Its reasonable and quick.

It is quite good chinese food for this area, all the Chinese students go here and recomend it. Its not the nicest place in the world, but the prices are fair. There is a rude white guy that works at the front but other than that, its nice. This is the place I go when I need my fix.

I love this place! Prices are always reasonable, but lunch is dirt cheap- a good meal for two for 13 bucks or so, with tax. The food is great. Take out is a good option, but if youre dining in, one guy does most of the waiting of tables, and hes quite charming.

Very good Chinese food in Northwest Indiana. Have not dined in at the restaurant, though it looks nice from what Ive seen picking up orders. Tend to opt for the orange chicken, which comes with thin strips of orange peels for flavor. Good stuff, nice people.

Our first time here and the wait staff is wonderful. The decor and tables are old but clean. The food was fantastic and very fresh. The drink menu is limited, but its clear that you go there for the food. Great little gem in Munster Indiana!

I dont know if it was just a bad day or what but the fried rice was burnt and tasted burnt the egg drop soup was absolutely gross... crab rangoon was ok not great... needless to say we threw out all of our food after about 3 bites

The very best and most authentic Chinese food in Munster/Hammond Indiana. Fantastic service and an excellent value.order off the authentic Chinese menu for a special treat. The salt and pepper shrimp in the shell is amazing!!

Food was very oily. Scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly but the oil killed the flavor. Egg rolls and shrimp fried rice, the same. Cooked well be the grease is all we tasted. Tossed most of it and went to Taco Bell.

Came here with the family. Started with the egg rolls and vegetable egg rolls. Crunchy cooked perfectly. Had the everyone enjoyed the whole meal. It was an enjoyable meal for everyone. I will be back here again.

Best eggrolls in the Region. Lovely service. Never had bad Chinese food from this place, always tastey and quality. My go-to for takeout. Love Moo-Shu Beef! Szechuan Eggplant-yummy. Crab ragoon :)

The best Chinese restaurant around Northwest IN area! I can sometimes order things that are not on the menu. People there are sooooo nice! Many of my friends go to eat there very often.
