There are two main moons in Marion. "New Main Moon" and "Main Moon" One is a buffet, the other is takeout (although it does have a dine in option--I wouldnt recommend it. The environment is clean enough, but not really a nice sit down sort of place). I have been getting takeout at the South Marion restaurant for years (like 15 years) and am rarely disappointed in the quality. The owners are local and have been there forever. They may have attitudes compared to other restaurants, but it really is that they work extremely hard for their money and are not going to put up with people that ask a lot of questions, are grumpy, or otherwise waste their time. They are not unlike many European restaurants in this method of operating their business (if you dont like how they do things, go elsewhere). I rather like this attitude, and I get really annoyed with people who expect to be treated like royalty just because they pay $4.00 for a takeout meal. Know what you want going in, read the menu for descriptions of food instead of asking the staff, and tip fairly well--you will not be disappointed in their food or service if these are your expectations.

Rude, and unfriendly group of people. They treat their customers badly especially if your skin is of a darker tone. Weve had two bad experiences and will not be back for a third! The second time I had to demand my money back after being yelled at for a mistake that THEY made with a previous customer, mind you I was 9 months pregnant at the time, my husband did not appreciate it.All I did was ask the price of an item! Not to mention the cashier scooped my rice with her bare hands into a takeout box after handling cash from several customers.One word: DISGUSTING !

My mother and I have been going to this wonderful restaurant since we moved to Marion 13 years ago. The food is of excellent quality, and the price is just right! We have never had any complaints whether we eat in or take it home. All of the dishes are prepared as you watch, and the whole thing is run by the sweetest woman. Youll certainly feel the love in her great Chinese dishes!

This place seriously needs someone else to run the counter! The older woman who does is so rude!!! And they scream at each other in the kitchen :/ The food is great, prices good but they need to hire someone else to take orders and run the register!

This place is an assembly line of chinese food. Save your money and your time, and drive a mile down the road to Great Main Moon, or head to the other side of the river to Hong Kong Restaurant. The food is better, and the service is 10X better.

I arrived to pick up a carry out order to find an employee behind the counter picking his nose. Needless to say, I canceled my order. This place is disgusting and unsanitary to say the least. I will not be going back.

Ordered takeout over the phone, ran into Walmart to get something and it was done that quick! Probably paid $10 for my meal, which I think is a good price! Food was wonderful.
