After a decade of being away from Indianapolis, I still held on to our WB Pizza frequent diner coupon, which entitled us to a free dessert, the penultimate reward on the card (last one is a thin crust pizza). I had to admit that’s a lot of frequenting a place over the years, but truth be told we only really liked two places in Indy for pizza, Bazbeux and WB’s! WB’s you have to work hard to find because it’s not an in your face type restaurant. It’s on the south east corner strip mall of 62nd and Allisonville Road. If you blink, you will have missed it. I kept asking my partner in crime how did we ever find such a place. We just don’t remember. It seems like we have been going to WB’s for as long as we remember. Imagine being away for 10 years, condemned to eat cardboard pizza or even spruced up DiGiorno! I won’t go into how much we have suffered, but what a welcomed pizza did we receive upon returning! We didn’t recognize the waiter, how could we? Waiters don’t stick around for very long. But the hostess/waitress/dining manager was very familiar. We were greeted warmly and ordered their Di Napoli pizza. It seemed appropriate, deep dish pizza with asiago, Roman rich tomato sauce with olive oil. I suppose we could have asked for more: capers, anchovies, etc. But it was the simplicity and the rightness of this pizza that made hit it the mark. Why mess with success? Finally after 10 years, a decent pizza, perfect dough, it was perfection with its toppings. The hostess, Katie, did finally came over, and I reminded her that she looked very familiar. She acknowledged that I did too look familiar to her. She looked at our coupon and recognized her signature all over it. Then it came back to her, “You gave me all those Willa Cather books!” I had forgotten that I had inadvertently converted her into a Willa Cather fan many years ago during my last visit to WB’s. By the way, the free dessert: the moistest, richest, chocolate three layer cake we have ever had! There’s an almond cherry version of the same, homemade cheesecakes of various flavors, homemade gelato and sorbeto on the dessert list as well. Nice to be back home again!

Recommended recently by a friend. Cannot believe we have lived in Indy for 15 years and did not know about this gem only 7-8 minutes away from our home. Their pizza and calzones are super. Excellent salads too. Very friendly and helpful staff (you immediately feel welcome there). Laid back and relaxed dining. We have not been during peak hours so cannot comment on factors such as timeliness of service in that situation. But so far, for both in-house and carry-out dining, our experience has been excellent.

I go at least once a week. The ambiance is friendly, clean and relaxing. The smell of homemade pizza welcomes you the second you come in the door. The owner makes everything from scratch and theres no skimping on quality. Great pasta dishes and sandwiches. Desserts are homemade and fresh, to die for cheese cakes, gelato and wonderful canoli. Easy to find, parking by the front door. Jody and Mike are the best wait staff. And Crystal is speedy with deliveries. Love it.

I have been eating here for several years. Of course I have my favorite things to order, but over the last few months I have been ordering something different each time and have yet to find something I dont like! The wait staff are all super friendly & know the menu well enough to make the perfect recommendations. When my wife and I want pizza or pasta, we never hesitate to visit WBs, even if its not "on our way" to wherever we are going that evening.

I expected more considering all the positive reviews. Maybe the thin crust pizza is better. The "chicago style" pizza was completely devoid of the buttery crust it was supposed to have. The sauce had an almost bitter taste I did not like. The cheese bread was overpriced and not very good. Atmosphere was fine. Some Guys is just up Allisonville and 10x better. I would rather have Papa Johns than eat at WB again.

This is one of the only pizza places I know that has that pizza joint feel and serves vegan options. Reminds me of an old school East coast pizza parlor. The service is great as well as the food. The cost is also nothing to complain about. This is somewhere anyone can go - not to mention a decent beer selection. Good for kids birthdays or just a night out for pizza with the significant other.

My girlfriend and I called wb tonight and ordered the de napoli. It sounded great, the employees were extremely nice, and it was delivered within the hour time frame. Everything was great except the crust was completely burnt. I had already eaten a few slices and didnt want to call and wait for abother. But I probably would recommend any other pizza place in town.. and there are a lot!

Not like any other pizza Ive ever tried and not in a good way. The sauce is really chunky and tastes like no other pizza sauce Ive had. Their "deep dish" had no more topping than a regular pizza Andre crust was really thick so it looked like deep dish till you cut into it. If your looking for something different than check it out otherwise steer clear!

My wife and I have been to both locations several times. In our opinion it is the best pizza in Indianapolis. Fresh made dough and sauce, and the toppings are very high quality. Ultra thin, thin and deep dish options are all good. Their sandwiches, and appetizers are also very good.

Ive been here multiple times and they have never disappointed. I unfortunately have moved out of the city and have never been able to find a place quite like this. Every time I go to a pizza place I always compare it to WB and nothing stands up. GO THERE!!!

Just found out about this place not that long ago. I really appreciated the Vegan options on the menu. WB Pizza is a nice little pizza shop that is well priced with good food with a friendly staff. I look forward to going there again.

I absolutely love this place. I have been a regular customer for almost 8 years, and have never been disappointed in any dish I have ordered. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always makes sure that guest feel at home.

I found WB Pizza on the Happy Cow website while looking for vegan-friendly restaurants in town. There are plenty of options for me and my son loves the pizza, too. The food is always delicious and hot and the service is superb.

The pizza looked great but once you started eating and it was not all that ... the bread sticks have no flavor what so ever it is like eating baked dough with no seasoning.. It is way to expensive ... Really disappointed

Everything here is delicious! They have a large variety of classic pizzas as well as some very good vegetarian and vegan options. The crust is made fresh and sauce is delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant

For the last few years the service has been incredibly good. The quality of the food as always beyond our expectations. Yes you get what you pay for but it is still cheaper than some Italian restaurants.
