I was really excited to try this place. The restaurant looks amazing!!!!! All the remodel that happened was perfectly done, the bar area is beautiful and the patio next to the river has a great atmosphere. The beers are AMAZING. I always loved Upland. But here comes the room for improvement comments, you guys need to work on the food. Ive tried so far 5 different entrees, and none of them were great. The burgers are just OK, really dry, and the bread honestly sucks, it is really dry and it crumbles. The pizzas are smaller everyday, my gf tried them the first day and they just keep getting smaller and to be honest, they are not that good. The pulled pork sandwich was really good except for the bread. If the food improves I will definitely rate it a 5 star place, cause it has the potential.

We were very excited to try this place. We finally decided to give it a try and went about 3:45pm and there were plenty of staff ( I actually counted about 20 employees) and sat at our table forever. Never was approached or greeted. We finally decided to get up and walk out after noticing all of he employees were just lily gagging around and talking and then on our way out to the parking lot it seemed as though we were being followed and we were. By the quite a few employees heading outside to smoke and joke and yell across the parking lot. Very unfortunate that this place will never get my business and I will spread the very poor experience to everyone I come in contact with.

The dude drinks a lot of the day. It was gorgeous and I will be there tomorrow morning at least one more time. The only thing is I have to go to the clinic at work and I will be there about six. This will be a good day to get my life back in order. Please let me tell you that I have to go to the clinic at work in the morning. Whats the best way to work with this new opportunity to work? Im not sure if I can do that for the next few days so maybe we can talk more later. Ill let you know that I havent been budgeting in the correctly so it is not a big deal thank you very much for your time and money. Have a good night haha

The atmosphere and facility are awesome, but those are really the only good things. Food was overpriced garbage, and the service was pretty below average. I had a pulled pork sandwich and it was probably the worst pulled pork Ive ever had. The texture was like eating leather shoelaces, and the flavor was terrible, the bun was dry, and the chips that I ordered with the sandwich had less flavor than a bag of lays original. The large excess amount of oil mixed into the pulled pork also gave me a churning, nautious feeling in my stomach and heartburn the rest of the day. Needless to say, I dont recommend it.

While the atmosphere was nice, I have to post a scathing review in regards to broken promises. Having no reservations as a policy, my group of 20 was told we would wait about 25 minutes for them to seat us. 1.5 hours later (no sarcasm there), we finally sat down. The staff was friendly enough. When the food came I was the only person to have been completely skipped somehow. I received my starter but no main course. 20 more minutes and I got it to go. It was disgusting food, drenched in garlic. Other people made better choices obviously. I definitely wont return.

First visit and was very good. Absolutely love the history of the place, decor and atmosphere. Its very bright with natural light and fun setting. The outdoor seating is very nice as well with good views. The food was amazing and good selection of a variety of beers to choose from. I had "The Cuban" and would highly recommend it. This would be a fun place to go with a group of people to get the night started or just have a good evening. We went during off hours, so crowd was not an issue at all.

Excellent beer, historic building (exposed brick, copper tubing) on the river. Parking is limited, but its a very short walk from several downtown parking garages. Still working out some initial opening issues, but always improving. A couple vegetarian/vegan options, but a couple more would really make the Pump House stand out in Columbus! Update: just lost a star, we were seated for over ten minutes, never saw a server. We left with anyone even noticing. The werent even busy.

It was an average place to hang out and the food was not good at all. However the ambience is really great inside. We sat outside on the patio only to experience the stink from river and mosquitoes biting our legs. May be it would have been a good experience if we sat inside. They have wide selection of beer options buy people who doesnt prefer beer do not have much alternatives. Even the customer service was really lousy and left us unattended for long time.

Great atmosphere inside and outside. Friendly staff. Food was a mixed review. Pork tenderloin has no flavor, even adding salt and a few toppings. Do not recommend. Staff was not willing to exchange or compensate for poor quality. Spinach and artichoke dip was delicious I do recommend. Pork tenderloin was also very flavorful. A must try. Falafel I wouldnt order again. Not terrible, Ive had better. Overall sit outside enjoy the view and have a few beers.

New bar and restaurant in historic pump house opened July 2016. The bar is very nicely restored. It is large space divided by screens and planting, making it more intimate. The beer is from Upland, lots of IPAs. The Crimson was a fermented wine and tasted more like a sherry - I didnt like it. They dont have a liquor license, but do serve wine. The food was typical for a bar and good value typically around $10 for main course

Uplands Pump House is a must visit in Columbus, IN. The food menu is small but works well with their beers. The menu utilizes local farms to source its ingredients. The outside patio overlooks the river. There are beers that can only be purchased here, like the sours. You can buy both growlers and howlers to take home. They also offer flights of beer. The staff is great and knowledgeable. We will probably be here once a week.

Wonderfully crafted beer,,, the descriptions are spot on!!! I really enjoyed the Bad Elmers Porter and the Marion the Agrarian. The Wheat, The Champagne Ale and the Heffey were very good, too. The food was very tasty and well-presented. I would NOT have guessed theyd only been open about a month! The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful!!! Wish them GREAT success!!!

Minimal staff on a Saturday evening. Waited at our table 20 minutes just for our drinks. Our waitress kept walking circles like she was lost so we decided to go elsewhere. Literally took one sip from my coke when we decided to tell the waitress we were leaving and she dropped off the bill for the drink and walked away. Definitely wont be back.

Cooked my NY strip medium well instead of med rare and when I sent it back it took 35 minutes to get another and the one I received no butter or potato bites...awful service. First to place my order and last to get my food and then by the time it came out everyone was already done eating and drinking. And I paid full price for that.
