My review is based on expecting a Coffee House. We went to visit this coffee house this morning for the first time. The woman working behind the counter, who said it was her shop, was grumpy, unfriendly and pretty unpleasant. As I always do when I visit a coffee house for the first time I ordered a shot of espresso and a cappuccino. Anyone can make a latte, but a cappuccino takes knowledge and skill. The owner didnt know how to prepare a shot of espresso and my shot was served without the crema. My cappuccino, wasnt. It was a latte. She obviously didnt know how to steam milk, how to pull shots of espresso or how to pour a cappuccino. If youre looking for a coffee house that serves great coffee and espresso beverages, keep going. On the other hand this establishment was really a little country kitchen that happened to have an espresso machine. It was cute, and had a nice menu. My wife had a breakfast sandwich, bacon and egg, that was fantastic and well prepared. Probably a good place for breakfast or lunch, but not for great coffee. Should be renamed, "Grumpys Breakfast and Lunch Cafe." We wont go back.

Cicero Coffee Company is one of those special places youll keep wanting to come back to time, and again. Great coffee, friendly service, wonderful food items; its all the best combination of small-town independent coffee shop with all the amenities, art gallery, and cafe with delicious appetite-quenching breakfast and lunch options. Be sure to consider the Cindy Loo Hoo Smothered Eggs and a bottomless cup of coffee.

The decor is country kitchen, not my taste but still nice. The staff is very friendly. I loved their Reuben. Everyone said that Erikas place was great but I had a horrible experience there. Happy to see that there is a good place to eat in Cicero.

It is expensive for most items. Food is good though and so are the coffee specialties. Decor is average. Service... order at counter for food and drinks, drinks delivered at counter or self serve for regular coffees. Food brought out to table.

Im a regular. The employees always know what Im going to order. Great variety of drinks and food. They also have a few foods that are vegan and vegetarian-friendly. Cyclist-friendly as well.
