Firstly, the staff had no idea what I was asking for over the phone when I ordered. I was saying "Chicken Teriyaki bento with Gyoza" as it appeared on the menu. It took a good few minutes before they understood (It wasnt a "lost in translation" thing as the staff seemed to speak clear english). The staff were friendly when I picked up and the restaurant seemed nice enough. Unfortunately, the food was awful. The chicken teriyaki had seemingly no flavour, the side of vegetables was two pieces brocolli, two pieces of carrot, two pieces of zuchinni, very underwhelming. The rice was dry and clumpy and the chicken breast was far too big to be natural and tasted almost reformed. There didnt seem to be any teriyaki sauce on there either. The sushi was a similar story- dry and tasteless. I wont be going to Tegry again.

Im surprised to see so many people loved the sushi here. It wasnt terrible, but there is much better sushi in the Indianapolis area. It did not taste as fresh as it should have. I was the only person in the restaurant at dinner time and other restaurants in the shopping center area were packed. The server carried the water pitcher with his hand inside, touching the pour spout. It is probably not unsafe sushi, but there is MUCH better taste and quality within a reasonable drive. It is unlikely I will choose to go back to Tegry Bistro.

A very disappointing meal tonight. We ordered the beef tataki as an appetizer and there was so much seasoning on it that it was inedible. We informed the waitress to took it away without offering to make it right. We also ordered a filet steak with fried rice and several rolls of sushi. The steak had so much seasoning and was cooked less than the beef tataki. The rice was crunchy and undercooked. One of the rolls of sushi was also so powerfully seasoned with salt/pepper that it was inedible as well.

Ive been here so many times, over the last few years, that I cant count. The sushi rolls are the best in Indy! Ive dined in and got carry out and its always great! The atmosphere is good too. Not too fancy and not too dull. The staff is polite and professional however the servers arent alwayas on top of it. Sometimes they are SO busy but its always worth the wait!

Waited 10 minutes after seated to be greeted and waited 1 hour 20 minutes after placing order and they still hadnt begun to make food. Asked to see the manager and she refused to come out. Then they still charged us for the drink. Will never return.

Tegry serves my all time favorite sushi and steak. I have been eating here since the very beginning when the owner (Joe) first started the business. The Crunchy Spicy Tuna Rolls are my fave, and the steak is to die for.

I have been to this restaurant twice and I will not go back. They are way over priced and it takes forever to get your food even when there are only a few other people in there. I would not recommend this place.
