Its true... this Golden Corral does not sparkle like some and the food is neither as fresh or interesting... three types of mismatched floor tile in one area and rather tired carpeting signaled to my date and me that despite the almost $10 per on a Saturday afternoon a less-than-top-notch experience awaited despite a friendly and eager server. We picked and chose our food and made out okay as a result. We took what looked fresh and bypassed the chicken salad, for example, that looked glazed over from too long out and the spinach greens that looked like they came from last week. The cole slaw looked and tasted fresh as did the imitation crab salad. And, no, the hot food did not seem not hot enough and the cold not really cold enough... sorry. I always like the carrot cake... some deep fried fish could have been deep fried potato patties... it was fish, overcooked fish. Then someone removed the overcooked fish and replaced with... more overcooked and extra deep fried fish! I love popcorn shrimp but saw three colors, one definitely too, too dark. Crispy and crunchy, over cooked. Deeply, deep fried. To balance out, some not-quite-cooked-enough popcorn shrimp came out... and some that was pretty close to my expectation... so, I picked out the good ones! A so-so meal... what we had tasted pretty good because we selected only what really looked good... many items that were served up should not have been. So, I will pass on this particular Golden Corral... Now, the Golden Corral in Plainfield, Indiana... thats a good one!

I came in to give this place a shot since I moved here a few months ago. Most Golden Corrals are kind of nasty and this one is one of the worst Ive eaten at. Its over-priced... The food is disgustingly salty, especially the meat. The food isnt the highest quality, but its kind of expected when you walk in there that it wont be... Even on a Saturday night, the place was pretty dirty... The service was pretty good, though, and kudos to my waitress for working her butt off as she was probably waiting on twenty tables but its not enough to warrant going back unless you want to feel like you munched on a salt lick for an hour...

I went in there a few months ago and it was the WORST buffet experience I have ever had. The chicken tasted dry and old, the roast was the same. The mashed potatoes were ALSO dry and had no flavor, seemingly mixed with water. The gravy which I put onto the potatoes was also lacking in any flavor. The cooked vegetables were cold. The ONLY thing I found that was savory was the fresh fruit and cottage cheese. Waste of money, and a disgrace to the Golden Coral name which has plenty of restaurants with half decent food. I would rather eat dry toast of my liking, my $2 loaf is more appetizing, healthier, and gives me several meals.

If you like this particular chain, youll be satisfied with this location. Its not any different or worse than other Golden Corrals, and Ive been to ones everywhere from Virginia to Arizona. Sometimes you just really want to eat at a buffet, somewhere you dont have to pick just one entree and no one can charge you for getting seconds. Id recommend coming here on a weekday (weekends are $18 for lunch instead of $9) and a day when youre very hungry. If youre not super hungry, a comparable place like Cracker Barrel has better quality food, honestly, but when I want a little bit of everything I come here.

We have eaten at this restaurant a few times over the years. It used to be very good but has gone downhill. When we walked in the door, there was a unpleasant and musty smell. It went down hill after that. It was Saturday early in the afternoon and there was hardly anyone there. That should have told us something. Most all of the food tasted left over. The food was dry and cold. I always really liked their fried chicken, but not this time. Nothing we had was anything to brag about. We will not be going back. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the staff was very friendly, and nice.

I would give it a zero if I could. They were out of a lot of their typical choices in food. The staff was rude. The manager charged us a full meal for our 5 year old who didnt even have a plate. Our baby, who is less than a year old and was eating baby food and maybe had one spoon of corn , was charged a full meal. When I went to take our two sons out to the car in protest, and didnt even get my own plate of food yet, they charged me a full meal. Refused to comp for the meal I didnt even get and made our kids cry. BAD SERVICE

If you get there before 4 seniors pay $6.41, if you are not a senior and you get a drink you pay over $12. How is that fair? The reward for living past 65 should be that you get to live another day, not an almost 50% discount. Those old people go over there and eat like hogs and we have to pay the difference. And the worst ones get there 10 min. before 4 and pay the low price and then eat steak. Anyways, I would go more if it wasnt so high, also they need some improvement on their food.

The staff are great!!! But the food needs improving. The bourbon chicken tastes very bitter when it should have some sweet notes. The taco meat has a lot if peppers in it and not everyone can eat real spicy food. I find when i go there im not able to eat much cause of low amount of choices available to me and my health needs. My husband loves going so i go but i feel like he is wasting his money on taking me

This place is bland and mushy. The staff is hit and miss and the only reason I go is because there is variety for the kids. Last time I went with my girlfriend it was $41 for myself, her, my 13 year old son, and 8 year old daughter. To me, thats overpriced for the quality. Ive heard the Bedford Golden Corral is WAAY better, probably worth a drive down there sometime.

I visit this place about 3-4 times a year. EVERY SINGLE TIME I COME, the food us excellent, the staff superb, friendly, and the selection of choices way to many to count. This restaurant holds a level of excellence you just dont see much of anymore. I recommend this place for good eating, pleasant staff and just the right price. John Arnold, Bloomington IN

This place is awful and needs to be shut down. The food is always cold, hard, and either burnt or undercooked. The waitstaff only comes by seldomly for refills and the food selection is poor. The Golden Corral in Bedford is AMAZING and worth every penny. Avoid this one like the plague.
