The food was ok. On several occasions I had my food burnt or tasted bland. I asked for a burger and they ask how well do you want it done. And I think really there is only one way to cook a time burger. So I got medium and it was still very burnt. And Im above eating my burgers raw. And the food is a bit pricey since u could go to better restraunts for the same price. I do say they have some of the fried pickles I have ever had and their buffalo chicken George is amazing. Though I stay away from regular chicken George cause it lacks flavor. I do have to say I had the best server and that is why I rated the service excellent. Her name was charis and she always had drinks at the table filled when they were getting low always came to thwarted table with a smile and was just very pleasant to talk to. Id go back if only for the experience the server gave me while I was there.

I love the Candlelight! I prefer the Rock Falls location to the Sterling due to the fact that the seating is spaced out better, the lighting is better, and the Rock Falls Canldelight gives you breadsticks before your meal and the Sterling one only gives you crackers. I also enjoy their $1.99 Margaritas on Fridays! They are tasty and BIG! I love their Chicken George and everyone I have introduced to it has LOVED it as well! It is an excellent place to eat and price isnt bad either! Also, I have never had an experience with poor service. Every time I have been there (which is quite a bit) I havent had poor service.

Candlelight has gone through a transformation. A beautiful, welcomed transformation. It still looks the same. And seats the same amount of people, but the menu has been upgraded. At the beginning of the year they introduced some new dishes, and kept ALL the favorites. Every month theyll be doing a special menu with rotating items. Its really great. It was already hard to get a table on a Saturday evening, and its going to get harder, but its worth it.

Oh Chicken George how I love you. You really cant live in Sterling for any period of time without ending up at Candlelight. First the place is dark and weirdly laid out - if that bothers you go to Rockfalls. But this is the place to go for Chicken George. Not sure why but with the Jans Sauce it is so yummy. You can order is by the pound - cause why send money for the meal if you only want the Jan sauce.

Drove from Davenport Iowa to have lunch at the Candlelight Inn the Chicken George is delicious the onion rings out of this world and a Jen dip, homemade dip for chicken is awesome. Are serverJose did a awesome job the interior of the restaurant is very neat and c homey feeling the prices are very reasonable and they do give a military discount recommend anybody in the Sterling area to stop.

Rushed through our meal because our servier didnt like my fiencee. Because of his rudeness we left. By the time we got home from there our food was cold. Called in and all they said was they will talk to him... Rude. Rude. Rude. I have never been asked almost as soon as my food arrived if we would like a to go box.. didnt even finish my 1st soda

Coconut shrimp is absolutely amazing that would be my recommendation. Although the Chicken George is good. The waitress was very good at what she does we had a big group around 9 people and every one was happy with the food and drinks.

Everything I ate was delicious! The steak was buttery and moist, the fries and appetizers were crispy and delicious, and the ribs were so tender the meat fell right off the bone. Soooooooo good! The service was awesome as well.

Weve been going there probably 3 times a month for the last 6 months because we live 50 miles from there but the food AND service is so amazing that its worth the drive ... CONGRATULATIONS ON AN AMAZING RESTAURANT!!!

Its just a barn where they serve you food. Its very small and uncomfortable inside. The food is decent. No reason at all to go here unless you are really into fried chicken strips.

We go here every year for our anniversary. Ask for intimate seating if you need it. Sitting in the bar sucks when its a romantic night out.
