I have dined at various Red Robin establishments throughout the western Chicago suburbs on numerous occasions and I have never eaten a truly fantastic meal. Red Robin, as a concept, doesnt disappoint. Their "modus operandi" simple enough: provide customers with a selection of contemporary American junk food in a comfortable, kitsch inundated, brightly lit box. Not exactly romantic, but just fine for the kids. Red Robins staff consists of white teenagers who are friendly, adept, prompt and eager to please. The managerial staff is equally fantastic. I enjoy Red Robins drink selection. Colorful mixed drinks, above-average milkshakes and malts, and, my favorite, the strawberry freckled lemonade and raspberry limeade. Its Red Robins food that I have trouble with. The burgers are completely stale and lifeless slabs of charred flesh. The fish is okay. The Chicken is pretty standard. I really dislike the french-fries, which are steak-fries essentially; too much potato and not much flavor. However the fries come bottomless which may or may not sweeten the deal for fans of such things. The fried cheese sticks are pretty terrible. How do you screw-up a cheese stick? And, funny enough, they are identical in flavor, texture, size, and color as the cheese sticks offered at Arbys. Weird. I cant vouch for the other items on the menu, but I can imagine that there arent any culinary standouts. Red Robin is fine for a quick bite after a day of shopping with the kids. I would choose Red Robin over, lets say, Steak and Shake. But, if I had to choose between Red Robin or Dennys, I would probably choose Dennys. If that doesnt convey my views on Red Robin, nothing will!

I happen to be going in with my dad and my girlfriend. Were inside and I ask for a crown royal and coke. They ask for ID. Which I happily give over. I grew up here but go to college in Florida, hence I have a Florida drivers license. Im 22 fyi. After saying they were going to compare it to their book, they come back saying they need to see a 2nd ID. I told them ill grab my passport. I was informed that would not be acceptable. Has to be a bank card of some sort. So I go to my car grab 4 debit/credit cards and my passport. When I come back inside it seems like the manager is interrogating my girlfriend. Asking where we live, work, etc. Once I show them the new IDs, which a different server exclaimed "oh a passport is perfect" he was also the one who pointed out my original drivers license had the holagraphics it should. I was spoken to a little more gently and brought my drink and had good service throughout the rest of the stay. It was very bothersome though, how quickly they became aggressive and interogative. The fact is wether there under age or not you shouldnt speak to a customer like that. To automatically assume were guilty of having a fake ID is pretty ridiculous.

My daughter , her friend and I were in your restraunt on a Saturday night. We had horrible service. We waited ten minutes for drink orders and it went down hill from there. At one point my daughter wanted another drink. We finally got the attention of the bar tender. When she asked if she could help us.....poof our mystery waitress appeared. Our food wasnt cooked even close to what we told her. My sweet potato fries were cold. The kicker ....my daughter has told me how good your restraunt is. This was the first time I was there. And I wont be back.

Since we have to eat gluten free we have been avoiding hamburger plates because a patty and fries doesnt seem worth the money. We were all set to repeat this when we entered Red Robin and found that what my wife had been told by a coworker was true, they now offer gluten free buns and they are excellent! The sweet potato fries were also excellent although we suspect they are not gluten free. Oh well, regular fries next time are the answer. Thanks Red Robin for offering gluten-free!!

Food is tasty but need to change a lot of things. Especially people that are working in the bar. They touch everything with dirty hands. People are coming for their take out paying with cash, and they still grad lemons with dirty hard and squeeze them in to glass to make drinks... they grab the straws like that know that costumers put their mouths on them. Bread from the burgers are really soggy... and had to wait for an hour to be served for only 2 people.

We always look forward to sharing a 5 alarm burger and a milk shake at Red Robin. The service here has been slow on previous visits and they always call us "guys" even though we are a man & a woman. We addressed this with our server and she responded. Our burger came with mayo even though we asked twice for it without. My wife didnt eat it (too much popcorn at the movie). Overall we really like Red Robin!

Very limited signage if you are on the frontage road, keep your eyes out. Staff are always amazing here. One time we came in, were seated, our kid got sick, and we left, and the staff went absolutely above and beyond for us. Sometimes the wife and I escape for a burger. Cant argue with unlimited fries. I feel like the onion rings used to be better, wonder if they changed their recipe.

First let me say our server was awesome. But value for what you get in food is definitely hard to swallow. The chips and salsa appetizer was extremely disappointing when my family of 5 received about 20 chips and a small cup of salsa and guacamole. Burgers are ok at best, nothing you couldnt find anywhere else in America.

Waited an hour for our food for 3 kids and 2 adults. Kids chicken fingers, Mac and fries were all cold. Husbands burger burnt. I returned my salad for tasting like someone who smoked cigarettes prepared it. I told the manager to taste it. It was an awful experience. Will NOT ever return.

Delicious burgers and great service. Waiters and waitresses actually care about customers, and are willing to make sacrifices for them as well. Most know me on a first name basis, and sometimes tell what I normally order and ask if thats what I want! All in all good place to grab a bite.

Fifth time I have had bad service here the waiters/waitresses need training!!!! However the manager does try to make up for it. Also on my previous trip there somehow the waitress received a double tip and the manager refused to fix that the next day :(

Great workers! If something is wrong they fix it without a second glance, they spark up a conversation and are very friendly. And their Burgers and Shakes! OMG! Absolutely amazing!

The patty melt and fries were amazing! Be sure to sprinkle the seasoning all over your fries. Our waitress, Evelyn, was great! Cant wait to go back.
